    Also you mention the Microscribe scanner from the UK, is this still the scanner you would recommend today?

  • WHOA!!!! That's one of the most amazing things I've ever seen done with a CNC. John Cox's just got himself a huge fan with all those creatures.

  • what kind of hand held scanner is that? I've built DIY laser scanners using David3D Scanner software and the artifacting is ridiculous.. the one you have seems to work amazing, even without a calibration panel behind your object.

    I myself prefer the tusks to be a little more upturned, but otherwise it is GREAT!!!

    that scanner is VERY impressive, would come in very handy where i work, the only downside is i'd imagine a price tag on that would make even the richest of engineering firms squeal!
