The arab and persian communties are excellent with training their horses and camels. I am sure in a minority of cases the animal may be abused for this type of entertainment; however many of these horseman are very much capable of training dancing horses without any cruelty whatsoever even if it would take a lot longer in doing so. Remember they have an ancient culture.

I don't think the horse is exactly afraid. But then again... Idk. I'm not too sure I like this. I mean the horse is gorgeous and doing an amazing job. Don't get me wrong. And I'm not saying it's abuse because of the country they are in either. If it was Americans I would still be one the fence about it all the same. Poor horse. I think, the men knew what they do but the don't care 'bout the horse. Just look at the forelegs of the horse, the moves they did as high as the shoulders are, are not really naturally. And sorry for my bad english, i'm from germany. Here in German:

Apparently most of you don't see these "dance moves" as being things horses do naturally. Everything these horses have done are things they do even in the wild. They are simply trained to do them on command, same as you teach a dog to "sit", which is also a natural move. :)

people in eastern regions have been dealing with horses for thousands of years, they're the ones who domesticated them in the first place. @CharlieeJadww97 Actually those arn't chains they are bells and no one was using the whip only holding it, and not even threateningly. I hold my whip like that when I am done lunging my horse and she walks right up to me since it is a non-theatening stance. Honestly what this horse is doing is quite beautiful, some of the moves are quite similar to those of the horses in the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, and those horse are treated like royalty.

The horse doesn't seem distressed. Many animals in eastern countries are trained to dance without using aggressive tactics. It is not a regular occurrence for the animals to perform publicly. Some of these people like to show off their skills, and in effect many of these animal enjoy the dancing and like being watched. Horses are very perceptive and know when they're being appreciated, even in public. Horses are very aware when they have a special talent and they love the sound of the drums too!

Das gleiche Prinzip wie bei den Tanzbären. Tanzbären wurden auf heiße Platten gestellt unter den man Feuer anzündete. Da sie nicht weg konnten haben sie angefangen von einem Bein auf das andere zu springen. Dazu wurde immer die gleiche Musik gespielt. Nach einiger Zeit haben sie schon zum springen angefangen wenn sie die Musik alleine gehört haben.

How are they trained? There are videos on Youtube showing them being whipped and even having boards banged across their front legs to help "encourage" them to lift their feet higher. Is it any wonder the horses here look panicked? Very sad and VERY different than the dressage type Dance demos shown at big events.

Obviously you haven't, as you would not be stating such ignorant and barbaric statements. Many Arab, Persian and Asian communites are more primitive than western ones. They have been working with animals for a greater length of time; therefore they know how to handle them more effectively. Many animals enjoy dancing in public and are not beaten YOU FOOL.

How are they trained? There are videos on Youtube showing them being whipped and even having boards banged across their front legs to help "encourage" them to lift their feet higher. Is it any wonder the horses here look panicked? Very sad and VERY different than the dressage type Dance demos shown at big events.

@pkrska Obviously, you don't know horses very well. If they were shooting bullets at it's hooves to make him "dance", he wouldn't be jumping around. It would be rearing and lashing out. This, plainly, is not it. These horses are specially trained to go through these motions. It's no different than Dressage, just another strain of it. Get a brain, douche canoe.
