I think tey make sookie really annoying in the show, I think they made sookie not very passive but rude and not very appealing. I think she is an idiot in the show. Anna is a great actress, I loved her in fly away home.

@HyperactiveRabbit I agree. Novel Sookie is beautiful with great breast. Anna is not beautiful, fake blond (unlike novel Sookie) and neither she has extra ordinary beautiful busts (it was mentioned in novel many times.) Anna is not my Sookie, I did not imagine her.

@zotova12 I know, right? She's so dumb. She's always declaring that she doesn't need help and can take care of herself. After which she invariably gets thrashed, and has to be rescued.

@battleraven64 Sookie is brave, honest and kind hearted person, who never had a normal life because of her curse/gift of telepathy. She cannot see people in trouble though she can read their fickle mind and all emotions, which is very brave and heroic thing to do. When you know how people think about you (freak and all), you still help them, how can you be dumb -ass. She is a hero to me.

It looks beautiful and she looks beautiful, but she's just sitting there in the time-honoured "passive damsel waiting for rescue, or something to be rescued from" mode.

She's so much more: she's funny, compassionate, courageous, a bit naive maybe to begin with, an occasionally kick-ass. Nothing of that shows in this clip.

Again: it's optically gorgeous with the spanish moss and all. It just doesn't fit the character.
