Man I didnt even remember a lot of stuff in this game. Fsu scored on D, Florida couldnt convert 3 extra points and blew a 30yd fg and they still won, wow! The 97' team was stacked but didnt show up against inferior competition like lsu and georgia. Theyre one of those teams where i wonder if they had a more consistent mindset...how could they could of been.

You know. That '08 Gators team reminded me a lot of those 90's Husker teams. Both were big and physical but I think the Gators were deeper at skill positions (and as a unit, faster). Tebow & Frazier might have canceled each other out. What a shame what happen to Lawrence Phillips. The Peter brothers were also good player and like Phillips, very troubled. Having a young Ahman Green never hurts. Nothing like shooting the breeze w/ football talk.

@team407izme We didnt deserve to play in the '00 title. We may have held OU to 6 points offensively, and Richt was thinking about recruiting for UGA the whole time, so we had no game plan. As for '93, we relied on ND to lose to BC, and they did. '96 ALOT different. We BEAT UF, then had to play them 3 weeks later. Beating that UF team was hard enough, but to do it twice against a team that had revenge implications? And plus FSU had 11 starters out with the flu, and ASU should have played anyways.

He holds the record for most yards in 3 River Stadium with over 200 yards, obviously a record that can't be broken because it was torn down. Once he missed one tackle, and had daylight, he weighed too much and was too fast to bring down. People recognize UF for WR's but they had Fred and Emmitt

@bigwillietheb Auburn's title is tainted(they have an asterisk by every major accomplishment), LSU in '07 was voted as the worst champion in the last decade...Sure, put us in the SEC...but UF and Bama don't want us in the SEC because we are getting their recruits now...when we are in the SEC, they won't have a choice but to compete against us in recruiting. @Jagnole101 As a whole (college football), I somewhat agree but some of the VERY good teams of recent could have played in any era. I'll put that '08 Gators team against anyone you wish to throw at me. We both just missed the obvious. It wasn't so much Meyer VS Bowden. It was Mullen VS Andrews and Strong VS Jeff Bowden. They all did the play calling for their units. Things come in cycles and we're seeing another example of it. Florida is also recruiting more nationally now VS SEC/Tex/CA.

@johnduncan77 That was a great Gators team, and we could make the argument that if Arenas(when Alabama had the lead 20-17) touched the ball and it went out inside the 10...certainly helped them. That Gators team lost a game, too. '95 Nebraska, if you look at film, what they did to the best teams, how they didn't have close games...how they kept their foot on the gas so no one would make a comeback. And they won in '94, too. It's hard to defend a title, but the way they did it was awesome.
