There currentl about 200 raptors ethier made or being made to this date but congress might stop at 200 if budget is cut.

Current Flt. Lt. Dan Robinson of the British Royal Air Force had this to say about the F-22: "The aircraft is quite simply the most capable combat aircraft in the world today... It's been repeatedly demonstrated in large scale exercises over in the US with kill ratios in the region of 144 to 0... It has been pretty well proven... Right now it's ahead of everything else." He is an Exchange Pilot that has flown both RAF and USAF planes including the F-22.

Report to US congress 2007 (GAO-07-406SP on page 78):
The F22 have at least 2 structural problems:
- The F22 have cracks (up to 18 cm)in the aircraft's aft boom where the horizontal tail attaches to the fuselage.
-The F22 have cracs in "titanium casting" materials near the engine.
A key reliability requirement for the F-22A is a 3-hour mean time between maintenance, but right now its LESS than 1 hour! The F22 is junk, its very unreliable!
