Just saw the finale! haha Love your review. I agree, it was a great finale. Some of the best from the characters! The whole Marnie storyline really paid off. Sookie really stepped up as well. The last scene. OMG. Tara! Such an amazing ending. Nice points about the zombies. It will be interesting if they bring them into the story. You guys always call it right! ;) Can't wait till next year. See you then!
I can forgive the entire season with the finale...it really brought back all the things True Blood use to be, had some good riddances and necessary tragedies...a stellar realignment of sorts!!
@yamaraja87 he can still glamer him and jasons dumb so it would make it that much easier but i think that because jessica had jasons blood she'll feel his fear (if steve attacks jason) and will kill steve cause shes older and stronger
@JaiMac28 personally i wouldnt say the worst but the least action packed but thats why they had the most action in the episode before the finally cause the finale was to wrap up old storys and open new ones
The only thing that REALLY like really really bother me about this whole season, was that it spanned for a week. A week exactly. 7 days. All of this season = 7 days in True Blood Time. Big Mind Fuck
I stood up and cheered when Tara died, then I rewinded and watched it in slow motion. These four years have been spent figuring out more ways for that woman to cry and scream, and for that, I hope that she's gone for good.
Seeing this again, it wasn't too bad. I didn't like the ending to Marnie [I kinda wanted more fireworks] Zombies? not sure if I'll be excited for that. Demons? Sweeeet. More Holly! :D Plz bring back tara ;~; people dislike her but she was my favorite
I think Terrys friend is a supernatural because he even said he heard he was dead. then Arlene's ex Rene knew him already. I doubt Rene met him b4 he was killed.
@phatboybright personally i think the secret is that terrys gay cause look at how terry made sure to point out quickly he had a wife and the friends face when he heard him say wife he seemed disappointed think about it when you go through things like war with people it makes you form a strong bond not saying all soldiers are gay but if you got gay in you and you go through these things with another guy should form a real strong relationship
Loved you guys reviews. I just would like to say I find it weird that Bill said more vampires are created every day yet no one in this town has become a vampire yet. Jessica was added to the show to become a vamp so she doesn't count. I want this to happen to Tara to see her struggle with hate of herself and vamps will be very interesting to see. The weakest season of all, altought it had some good moments. They ruined Eric´s character,WHYYYYY????? (please don´t spoil Terry hahah) and BIll´s character was so forced since the beggining of season. Why on earth is Sookie asking forgivness to BIll??? come ooonnn...
Also the paralell stories were kinda nonsese or at least most of them could have been better done.

I could see the fairies or Russel coming in on the Tara issue, forcing things from Sookie in exchange for Tara being healed, or Sookie could start testing the potential of her powers with more control, rather than just flashing them and seeing what the result is.
I really wish they weren't going to mess with Terry. I thought maybe the guy was a ghost, he had died, and he was coming to tell Terry it was ok, maybe bring back some PTSD, but not bring a bad side to Terry.
Okay.. honestly if they bring zombies to the show, it better be a 1 season type deal if anything. We are already following way too many different supernaturals. Maybe it can be like the manead in season 2 - make an appearance and then get the hell off the show. Tara as a zombie just sounds stupid to me. If you run out of ideas for certain characters then get rid of them. I would be way more interested in learning about the Vampire authority than any zombie apocolapse or fairies in Fairyland.
I loved Brit Morgan/Debbie Pelt. I’ll miss her and her 80’s heavy metal trash look. I’ll also miss Jesus. The series better make up for him BIG time because I was about ready to throw my TV when they killed him, then later on showed that stupid shit about Russell coming back, and Newlin with fangs (Halloween trick), and Renee. That’s 3 villains from past seasons showing up. Ugh. Move ON! I mean, damn! Seriously, why? My believability won't suspend any long at this rate.
@terelon That’s just not a good end-of-season pay off after killing off a beloved character IMO. Kill one extremely interesting/resourceful good guy; bring back a neurotic vampire villain, a chauvinism reverend (so, so silly), and a psychopath that’s indirectly been affecting the story as is. They’re kicking fan service into overdrive at this point.
Quick question. Maybe I missed it somehow, idk but how did Bill and Eric get captured by Marnie? Last episode they fucked her up and the 1st time we see them here they're already captured. Did I miss a scene? I mean, I was a little high when I watched it. What happened?

I don't think that sookie should have forgiven Bill so quickly! I mean in True blood time it has only been like two weeks since she found out what bill had lied to her about. That is just to soon for me and it felt forced. I would not have forgiven Bill for a long ass time! For the future videos you guys said you would make I think you could speculate about what will happen to Tara, the future relationship between Alcide and Sookie and if Sookie will tell him about Debbie or keep it to herself.

Zombies! There was yet another sneaky reference to zombies in episode 7! The opening sequence to this episode showcases Katie (Bill's witch spy/guard) playing Plants vs Zombies on an Ipad. There is also the clever voice over in this scene of "The Zombies are coming" to which Katie replies "Suck it!".

Marnie was an outcast cuz of her "gift" & became power hungry. Now-set-free Antonia & Gran double team Marnie & convince her to give it up for a RIP-ever-after. I liked the resolution & it confirmed yet again that Marnie was not 100% villain, but still no retribution for all the people injured/killed? The only thing is, was Jesus' death for nothing? Will the dark brujo magic stay deep inside Lafayette?
Sookie breaking it off w/ both Bill & Eric showed maturity & modeled forgiveness: "(he lied) to protect me, & I lied to him protect you, & you lied to us so many times we can't count; what a mess." Plus if they're wanted by the Authority, best they keep her at arm's length.
Post-breakup, Pam will have her Eric back eventually (but will he be changed? Yes). Has Pam's rotting spell been broken w/ the death of Marnie? Does she need to find a witch circle to reverse it? Glamour Holly to do it?
For a change, Maxine was touching instead of ridiculous, but it's sad she needs another surrogate son cuz she can't reconcile with Hoyt.
Jason gets Jess, & they have awesome chemistry. Which way will Hoyt go? FOTS vamp-hater or get a new vamp-gf to make Jessica jealous? I hope he doesn't fade away or be cast off to the waiting room like Crystal, Hadley, Barry, & others.
Was Newlin turned if so by who? Maybe it's just a halloween gag & a Season V tease. If not, hopefully Jason will be smart enough not to invite him in. Could Terry's buddy be a future supe sniper? It seems Lafayette is way too vulnerable to any passerby spirit; will he have to muzzle himself 24/7 or learn a repelling spell?
I have to say, this season did not totally win me over until the finale.
I was surprised by amount emotional pay off from these converging story lines. Through loss, and strife with plenty of fun and campy moments.
And the anticipation they were able to build by setting up the next season... Russel Edgeington, Vampire politics, fellowship of the sun, even the fairy story line has me excited for the possibilities.
This wasn't my favorite season, but definitely my favorite season finale.
Good thing the magister is out of the picture cuz what's Bill's vamp kill count up to? Longshadow, Lorena, 3 Louisiana sheriffs, & Nan. I just love Eric-Bill alliance that's developing, protecting Sookie from Nan! "We are not eff'ing puppy dogs!" "What a bitch." Now all they have to do is kill Russell once & for all and maker-command Pam to keep her trap shut and Sookie's fairy secret is safe.
Bring back Tara: V blood healing (sexy vamp dreams, been there done that) or turn her into a baby vamp (she'd be so conflicted, yes!). She might at some point beg for the true death & have Gran escort her off into the next world. In any case, half her head is blown off according to Rutina W. interview.
I love when Roth screams Pam's one-liners. It's just hilarious.
What if Terry's old war buddy is a zombie? That would be crazy. Terry gets that far off look in his eye for a moment when the guy walks in. Maybe Terry remembers him dying but just thinks he's still crazy and it's the meds. Just thoughts. I doubt it will happen but you never know. It's Alan Ball.

I watch True Blood solely to watch your reviews. Otherwise I think I would have given up a long time ago. Always liked Jessica and Hoyt. I agree about Bill and Eric, I love them together (not a big Bill fan ...with Sookie or an Eric fan..with sookie: they both suck) lol. I can imagine that without Sookie this show will have more creative freedom and better stories that revolve around more interesting less 2D characters. I love book Sookie though!

Hey guys :) I'd love to hear your thoughts on what's going on with the faerie that Andy met in episode 11, I think her name was Morella... I noticed she wasn't the only one, there were 3 balls of light when she appeared. In an interview, AB mentioned that faeries come in "litters"... What do you guys think that will mean?
@ericsmymaker I wonder if the "litters" is a reference to triplets, like Claude, Claudine, and Claudette in the books.... I can't remember if they were always born in threes in the books or not.

One other "zombie" reference you forgot to mention, was terry's friend Patrick. When they first see eachother terry says that he thought he was "dead", and that he saved his life twice. And later rene tells arlene to watch out for the "ghost" of terrys past. I heard that the writers will not use zombies next season but that they are researching some lesser known supernatural creatures. where do you think there going with this.
Hey ladies! Love your reviews. You guys are hilarious. But hated the finale. Marne kills Jesus and she gets to go to heaven? And she killed Kasey?? Hell No. And then the back of Tara's head pops like a grape?? Eww..and I liked Tara. This season was a mess. I'm tired of Seeing E/B/S. I kind of want Eric and lafayette to get together, but I have no idea how that would happen. And having Jesus as a ''ghost boyfriend'' is so stupid. Just keep him alive, don't have him floating in the corner
Ok Sorry, one more thing. Why was Sookie saying she had hurt Bill just as much as he hurt her. Thats bull crap. He let her almost die just so he could control her with his blood. What in the world had she done to him? Its ok she said she forgave him but don't absolve him completely, thats ridicules.
One thing I don't like is how they had Eric skip over everything & just go to 'I Love You'. Eric's character would have denied those feelings longer, and been more like 'I want to have sex with you'. But I guess that wouldn't compete very well with Bill's 'Your the love of my life' comment for Sookie long term (lol). I liked the tension between Eric & Sookie after the spell was broken in the books better, his lack of memory added to it.
Great Review! Really enjoyed last nights episode & can't wait until next year. The best part of the episode last night was Bill & Eric killing Nan & her men because she knew about Sookie being a Fairy also Debbie Sookie and Tara. That was an amazing scene and I absolutely loved how they had Sookie make the decision to kill Debbie not in self defense. That was great and something TV Sookie's character needed. Sookie holding Tara and begging for help was extremely sad & well acted.
@sannaols5582 agreed, sookie dumped gooey talbot down the garbage disposal. also afterwards, ginger was wiping out the crystal urn while offering sookie a peanut butter & butter sammich.

Finally, I also had a debate going on with my friends whether sookie destroyed the fairy realm when she jumped out. I think not, but by friend says yes. That sookie revealed the true realm and how ugly it is, thereby destroying it. I think she just left it ,and as soon as sookie landed on earth the light magic "spell" that everyone was under came back. ANOTHER question... why doesn't anyone stay dead? Why does antonia die 3 times? I thought for SURE the fade at end of ep11 meant she's gone.
I would LOVE for you girls to discuss in future videos how the show leads with some story lines, jumps to the next thing and never explains what happens. For example... how on EARTH did TOMMY end up with mrs. fortenberry? Where is the rest of Sam's horsebackriding pack as he's dealing with marcus on the show? Where is crystal and why isn't she checking up on Jason. She should have seem him at full moon to see if he turned. How on earth did andy go from uncoordinated, goofy to suave gentleman?
Yes! Pam was hilarious and I DID feel sad for her. Honestly, throughout the 4 seasons her character is the most consistent and stayed true to human/vampire rules of conduct. "What kind of name is SOOKIE.. fairy vagina" totally funny. I also agree LEAVE TERRY ALONE... there needs to be SOME decent humans around. I cant' relate to a show that only has supernaturals. I still think Lafayette shouldn't be a "medium" bc he was colorful character to begin with, but i'm willing to go with it. TERRY NO!

I wanted to slap Sookie when she spent a good fifteen minutes stringing along the guys before she rejected them. I felt the most sorry for Eric just because he showed her a very human side of himself after he got his memories back and she came off like, "You have this amazing humanity inside you...now let me rip it out with my rejection!" I'm glad she chose herself in the end, but did she really have to get both of their hopes up and crush them to dust to get her point across?
i hope they won't bring tara next season, i mean i love her character but it would be so unrealistic, and i wouldn't like her to become a vampire, to be healed because that's cheap, or to become a zombie, but i loved the death scene it was intense
Tara is definately becoming a vamp....Bill's comment " New Vampires are made everynight" makes me believe that.
I've always believed if Tara became a vamp she would probably be the most homicidal vampire ever as a human her temper is nearly equally to that of most vampires so if she actually becomes one it would be worse. With her rage she will probably kill everyone outside of Lafayette, Sookie and Jason.
@ddsmrt09 I hope not her character is so annoying. To become a vampire in this series, she has to be drained and then her blood replaced by her makers and then they must sleep underground for a while. I do not think you can do that while dead.
@megalan14 its possible they could try to heal her if that doesnt work they can turn her because it seems the glass really was what caused the damage when I saw it again she just needs something done fast.
Honestly Tara may not always get the best storylines but her character is important to the shows dynamic. She provides a darker more painful side of the show, sarcasm, comic relief and a sense of how most people imagine they would react to leaving in a crazy place like Bon Temps.
russell will be bak to plot against the authority, so im guessin we finally get to see the authority. Lafayette will probably move on bt ghost jesus wont be very happy, tara might have a blood bond with either eric or bill, and eric will relentlessly pursue sookie causing pam to go crazy... cant wait till season 5!!!
Here is another thing about Zombies. Terry's friend that showed up at the bar. When Terry saw him he said, "I thought you where dead. . ." So he just might be a zombie, just saying.
Also, RIP Andy Whitfield. What a gut shot yesterday. I really hope all of you guys give some thoughts about this latter in the week.
It would be great if Tara drinks Eric or Bill's blood and it has a weird effect on her or they try to turn her but her spirit never dies in the process making her a completely new creature their strengths and harden personalites but she still human technically.....like a hybrid of some sort. I think anything is cool as long as they don't turn Tara into Bubba from the books the nearly brain dead vampire.

I stood up and cheered when Tara died, then I rewinded and watched it in slow motion. These four years have been spent figuring out more ways for that woman to cry and scream, and for that, I hope that she's gone for good.

Loved you guys reviews. I just would like to say I find it weird that Bill said more vampires are created every day yet no one in this town has become a vampire yet. Jessica was added to the show to become a vamp so she doesn't count. I want this to happen to Tara to see her struggle with hate of herself and vamps will be very interesting to see. The weakest season of all, altought it had some good moments. They ruined Eric´s character,WHYYYYY????? (please don´t spoil Terry hahah) and BIll´s character was so forced since the beggining of season. Why on earth is Sookie asking forgivness to BIll??? come ooonnn...
Also the paralell stories were kinda nonsese or at least most of them could have been better done.
Please, next season, coherence! There won´t be zombies next season ,as Allan Ball said.

I could see the fairies or Russel coming in on the Tara issue, forcing things from Sookie in exchange for Tara being healed, or Sookie could start testing the potential of her powers with more control, rather than just flashing them and seeing what the result is.
I really wish they weren't going to mess with Terry. I thought maybe the guy was a ghost, he had died, and he was coming to tell Terry it was ok, maybe bring back some PTSD, but not bring a bad side to Terry.

Okay.. honestly if they bring zombies to the show, it better be a 1 season type deal if anything. We are already following way too many different supernaturals. Maybe it can be like the manead in season 2 - make an appearance and then get the hell off the show. Tara as a zombie just sounds stupid to me. If you run out of ideas for certain characters then get rid of them. I would be way more interested in learning about the Vampire authority than any zombie apocolapse or fairies in Fairyland.

I loved Brit Morgan/Debbie Pelt. I’ll miss her and her 80’s heavy metal trash look. I’ll also miss Jesus. The series better make up for him BIG time because I was about ready to throw my TV when they killed him, then later on showed that stupid shit about Russell coming back, and Newlin with fangs (Halloween trick), and Renee. That’s 3 villains from past seasons showing up. Ugh. Move ON! I mean, damn! Seriously, why? My believability won't suspend any long at this rate.

@terelon That’s just not a good end-of-season pay off after killing off a beloved character IMO. Kill one extremely interesting/resourceful good guy; bring back a neurotic vampire villain, a chauvinism reverend (so, so silly), and a psychopath that’s indirectly been affecting the story as is. They’re kicking fan service into overdrive at this point.

I don't think that sookie should have forgiven Bill so quickly! I mean in True blood time it has only been like two weeks since she found out what bill had lied to her about. That is just to soon for me and it felt forced. I would not have forgiven Bill for a long ass time! For the future videos you guys said you would make I think you could speculate about what will happen to Tara, the future relationship between Alcide and Sookie and if Sookie will tell him about Debbie or keep it to herself.

Zombies! There was yet another sneaky reference to zombies in episode 7! The opening sequence to this episode showcases Katie (Bill's witch spy/guard) playing Plants vs Zombies on an Ipad. There is also the clever voice over in this scene of "The Zombies are coming" to which Katie replies "Suck it!".

I liked the resolution & it confirmed yet again that Marnie was not 100% villain, but still no retribution for all the people injured/killed? The only thing is, was Jesus' death for nothing? Post-breakup, Pam will have her Eric back eventually (but will he be changed? Yes). Has Pam's rotting spell been broken w/ the death of Marnie? Does she need to find a witch circle to reverse it? Glamour Holly to do it?

For a change, Maxine was touching instead of ridiculous, but it's sad she needs another surrogate son cuz she can't reconcile with Hoyt.
Jason gets Jess, & they have awesome chemistry. Which way will Hoyt go? FOTS vamp-hater or get a new vamp-gf to make Jessica jealous? I hope he doesn't fade away or be cast off to the waiting room like Crystal, Hadley, Barry, & others.

I have to say, this season did not totally win me over until the finale.
I was surprised by amount emotional pay off from these converging story lines. Through loss, and strife with plenty of fun and campy moments.
And the anticipation they were able to build by setting up the next season... Russel Edgeington, Vampire politics, fellowship of the sun, even the fairy story line has me excited for the possibilities.
This wasn't my favorite season, but definitely my favorite season finale.

I watch True Blood solely to watch your reviews. Otherwise I think I would have given up a long time ago. Always liked Jessica and Hoyt. I agree about Bill and Eric, I love them together (not a big Bill fan ...with Sookie or an Eric fan..with sookie: they both suck) lol. I can imagine that without Sookie this show will have more creative freedom and better stories that revolve around more interesting less 2D characters. I love book Sookie though!

One other "zombie" reference you forgot to mention, was terry's friend Patrick. When they first see eachother terry says that he thought he was "dead", and that he saved his life twice. And later rene tells arlene to watch out for the "ghost" of terrys past. I heard that the writers will not use zombies next season but that they are researching some lesser known supernatural creatures. where do you think there going with this.

One thing I don't like is how they had Eric skip over everything & just go to 'I Love You'. Eric's character would have denied those feelings longer, and been more like 'I want to have sex with you'. But I guess that wouldn't compete very well with Bill's 'Your the love of my life' comment for Sookie long term (lol). I liked the tension between Eric & Sookie after the spell was broken in the books better, his lack of memory added to it.

Great Review! Really enjoyed last nights episode & can't wait until next year. The best part of the episode last night was Bill & Eric killing Nan & her men because she knew about Sookie being a Fairy also Debbie Sookie and Tara. That was an amazing scene and I absolutely loved how they had Sookie make the decision to kill Debbie not in self defense. That was great and something TV Sookie's character needed. Sookie holding Tara and begging for help was extremely sad & well acted.

My favorite part of the episode was Marnie's closure because she was my favorite character this season. I felt like there was so much villainization that they weren't really paying attention to her motives and reasons for being the way she is, but this episode finally painted her in a sympathetic light. Though I do think she got off too easy after killing Jesus.
Also, the Samhain thing. It's like, just Google it. XD

This season ender was kind of slow. I liked a few scenes, but didn't like other scenes. LOVED the scene with Nan, but I'm bummed out that she gone.

Seeing Russell come back should be interesting. I wonder who dig him out?

Finally, I also had a debate going on with my friends whether sookie destroyed the fairy realm when she jumped out. I think not, but by friend says yes. That sookie revealed the true realm and how ugly it is, thereby destroying it. I think she just left it ,and as soon as sookie landed on earth the light magic "spell" that everyone was under came back. ANOTHER question... why doesn't anyone stay dead? Why does antonia die 3 times? I thought for SURE the fade at end of ep11 meant she's gone.

I would LOVE for you girls to discuss in future videos how the show leads with some story lines, jumps to the next thing and never explains what happens. For example... how on EARTH did TOMMY end up with mrs. fortenberry? Where is the rest of Sam's horsebackriding pack as he's dealing with marcus on the show? Where is crystal and why isn't she checking up on Jason. She should have seem him at full moon to see if he turned. How on earth did andy go from uncoordinated, goofy to suave gentleman?

Yes! Pam was hilarious and I DID feel sad for her. Honestly, throughout the 4 seasons her character is the most consistent and stayed true to human/vampire rules of conduct. "What kind of name is SOOKIE.. fairy vagina" totally funny. I also agree LEAVE TERRY ALONE... there needs to be SOME decent humans around. I cant' relate to a show that only has supernaturals. I still think Lafayette shouldn't be a "medium" bc he was colorful character to begin with, but i'm willing to go with it. TERRY NO!

The V only works if she's not dead yet, and a gunshot wound that big probably means shes dead.. or like the girls said.. zombie. I don't want tara to be a zombie. She's already had so much trouble.

I wanted to slap Sookie when she spent a good fifteen minutes stringing along the guys before she rejected them. I felt the most sorry for Eric just because he showed her a very human side of himself after he got his memories back and she came off like, "You have this amazing humanity inside you...now let me rip it out with my rejection!" I'm glad she chose herself in the end, but did she really have to get both of their hopes up and crush them to dust to get her point across?

i hope they won't bring tara next season, i mean i love her character but it would be so unrealistic, and i wouldn't like her to become a vampire, to be healed because that's cheap, or to become a zombie, but i loved the death scene it was intense

Tara is definately becoming a vamp....Bill's comment " New Vampires are made everynight" makes me believe that.
I've always believed if Tara became a vamp she would probably be the most homicidal vampire ever as a human her temper is nearly equally to that of most vampires so if she actually becomes one it would be worse. With her rage she will probably kill everyone outside of Lafayette, Sookie and Jason.

@ddsmrt09 I hope not her character is so annoying. To become a vampire in this series, she has to be drained and then her blood replaced by her makers and then they must sleep underground for a while. I do not think you can do that while dead.

@megalan14 its possible they could try to heal her if that doesnt work they can turn her because it seems the glass really was what caused the damage when I saw it again she just needs something done fast.
Honestly Tara may not always get the best storylines but her character is important to the shows dynamic. She provides a darker more painful side of the show, sarcasm, comic relief and a sense of how most people imagine they would react to leaving in a crazy place like Bon Temps.

Lafayette will probably move on bt ghost jesus wont be very happy, tara might have a blood bond with either eric or bill, and eric will relentlessly pursue sookie causing pam to go crazy... cant wait till season 5!!!

Here is another thing about Zombies. Terry's friend that showed up at the bar. When Terry saw him he said, "I thought you where dead. . ." So he just might be a zombie, just saying.
Also, RIP Andy Whitfield. What a gut shot yesterday. I really hope all of you guys give some thoughts about this latter in the week.

It would be great if Tara drinks Eric or Bill's blood and it has a weird effect on her or they try to turn her but her spirit never dies in the process making her a completely new creature their strengths and harden personalites but she still human technically.....like a hybrid of some sort. I think anything is cool as long as they don't turn Tara into Bubba from the books the nearly brain dead vampire.

Yea I was sorry to see Nan go, but maybe now we can finally see who the Authority actually is...and as far as Tara being a zombie, not likely, I think Eric will heal he rif he can; I mean it was a headshot from a shotgun...and Steve Newlin being a vamp, did not see that coming...I wonder who set Russel free as well, can't wait till next summer...I was also very sad to see Jesus be killed off, ghost Jesus is gonna make me so pissed next season...great job ladies on the review

Thanks for a great season of reviews, ladies. I look forward to these as much as I do the show. :) Here's hoping next season is a little less uneven.. with more eps like the finale. I mourn Nan, and worry about the future of Tara. Zombie Tara? Like, all 'braaains' and stuff? *sceptical* I really hope they give Pam a little more porkrind casserole to chew on next season, she was woefully underused. GINGER IS THE UNSUNG HERO OF BONTEMPS.
