now all of a sudden he found some enhancement drug's and beating nothing but damaged good fighters and now margarito is the latest of the damaged goods. mayweather would frustrate poochieow easy just like he has done to marquez and mosley.
are kidding me? pacman doesnt throw wild punches like that, not anymore.. leveling the skills, speed, accuracy, punching power and stamina chavez is just a midget to be compared to pacquiao. Pacman doesnt even throw punches head first. Pacman moves in and out, side to side and has the footwork to match even with May'. Plus factor is that he can hit combo shots comparing to chavez who only do routines in his punches. that can be easily studied by May in 3 to 4 rounds...
damn floyd was always considered pound 4 pound one of the best, where was pacquiao during this time ... oh yeah , getting his ass whooped in the phillipines
I dont care what anybody says. I dont care who yo favorite boxer is or who u think is the greatest of all times. All i know is if i was a boxer and I had a fight next week i would want to have floyd's talents. He is brilliant in that squared circle. And not only that HE HAS A CHIN...and it was tested in this fight. But floyd is on his toes 24/7..thats how he wins..most fighters are flat footed not floyd!
"I live my life the way I live my life and Im happy with what I do. I live for Floyd Mayweather. I dont live for the fans. I love the fans but I live for myself. Self preservation is first. I must be happy first before I can make anybody else happy. FMJ... so mayweather's fans... think again... dont be idiot with floyd.. only moron like floyd
To all the haters, floyd might not be the best but he is one hell of fighter. i personally find him fascinating to watch. people who doesnt know shit about boxing love to say that what floyd does is run. Ok. here is my view on the matter; how can floyd lands more punches than his opponent and get punched less? its all about his footwork people. look at how he moves to the side and pivots off. He is amazing at that. his head movement, foot work and shoulder roll are all excellent. cant ask more
@JCSAP123 Ok. Thats very true. He is very good but why is he dodging Manny??? He is really trying hard to dodge Manny. I think most ppl don't hate him because he is good but because he is being a punk and not fighting Manny thats what it comes down to. He is a great fighter but why not fight the best? A punk fighter that gets his perfect record by being a bully and fighting only ppl you know you will beat doesn't deserve everyones respect. If he beats Manny then he will earn everyone's respect.
@rbaez333 Hey bro.. Floyd made more than 20 million dollars for shane mosley fight. It is more than anyone can make in a year. I guess he is not interested in training and fight for now. There is this little thing called "life" for everyone to enjoy. I think fight will happen next year thou. If it doesnt happen next year, than, i will say that floyd is ducking Manny. Here is a fact. Floyd has been fighting guys that are bigger than him. He is almost flawless at what he does. He deserve credits.
@JCSAP123 if anybody does the ducking, it will be Manny. Floyd is always open to fight Manny, all he has to do is take that damn random blood and urine test.
@rbaez333 you cant speak for everyone.. Trust me when the fight happens(it will I believe) and Mayweather wins everyone's going to say either 1. he's meant to win because he's the bigger guy or 2. Pac was blood drain etc
@laistar I don't know what everyone else would say and I don't care. I know that I will say, "good job". Its only natural to want to see the best go against the best its entertainment. Isn't that why boxing even exist, to entertain us? So don't defend Mayweather and get mad at everyone just because we want to see the best fight the best. People know Mayweather is good me included. His record is perfect, but why is he dodging Manny? I am not sure either. We can only speculate as to why.
@rbaez333 Do you lack comprehension skills? I'm not mad or defending Mayweather but calling him a 'punk' doesn't sit well with me considering what he's done for the sport and vice versa. Both sides of the party are to BLAME for the fight, had Pac conceded to the 14 day cutoff which Mayweather was willing to compromise, the fight would of happened in 2009, not to mention Arum's clock rofl. Mayweather is to be blamed for his vacation 2nd time around. Fighting Margarito isn't the best either.
@laistar No I don't lack comprehension skills! Do you? I could care less about them both now. This discussion is getting boring. Have the last word if you want but I probably won't be responding to this meaningless discussion anymore.
@JCSAP123 PEOPLE JUST DON'T APPRECIATE THE ART OF BOXING THEY ARE SPOILED BY POOCHIEOW SLUGGING TACTICS PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND MAYWEATHER STYLE WOULD BE TOO MUCH FOR POOCHIEOW HE NEVER FOUGHT A FIGHTER WITH GOOD DEFENSE AND A SLICK BOXING STYLE POOCHIEOW WOULD BE TOTALLY FRUSTRATED IF HE FOUGHT MAYWEATHER.
@JCSAP123 I Agree with Everything u Said my Man, Except for One Thing...... in my Eyes, Floyd IS the Best! lol Second to None In Fact. Why? Well for All the Reasons that u Mentioned. And whats Equally Amazing as his Skill is the Fact that he Always Lands More and Gets Hit Less than his Opponents, and these are GOOD Fighters! QUALITY OPPOSITION!! Whoever Says that Floyd Fights Bums just doesn't Know Shit. These are Good Fighters, he just Makes them LOOK Bad! lol Floyd is Simply the Greatest. P4P
Respond to this video... Wow, just Listen to Floyd's Trainer and Uncle Roger Mayweather at the End of the Round, he Really Knows what hes Talkin about. The Man Really Knows Boxing. For Every Single Fight Floyd has had, Roger has Always Come Up with the Right Game Plan Prior to the First Bell, and then During the Fight he Always Gives Floyd the Proper Instructions as well. Its No Wonder Floyd is So Good. Aside from his Tremendous Skills, he has his Father and Uncle who Know Boxing VERY WELL.
"Where are all the African hating Mexicans watching this vid!!" Right here. You know it's funny, me and my Mexican homie watched this fight at my house. We were really pulling for Jesus because of his story (check out the "Jesus Chavez Story"), + every1 hated Floyd lol!
I actually turned to a Jr. fan early in his comeback
bid: defending him so much against disrespectful Pac fans made me want to see boxing justice get served. Like I did Roy Jr., I ALWAYS gave P4P #1 respect to Jr.; gotta b real.
So in the Marquez fight, I was pulling for Jr., and my homie was like, early on: AHHH MAN!! This is the same thing that happened with Chavez-Whitakker. I can see it already!!!
Just like Whitakker made him a fan after that (I liked Pernell already; Meldrick's my all-time), after the Marquez fight he said, "Floyd Jr. made me a fan! I'm a fan of Floyd's now. I gotta give it up to him. He put on a great performance..."
See, he didn't like Pac doing JMM like he did. He respected Jr. 4 stepping up.
@nportillo73 Pac doing JMM what? He fought him twice. Had weight problems and couldn't make 135 again and moved up for a tune up against Diaz to then fight Oscar De La Hoya. A fight almost everybody predicted he was going to lose and lose bad. You Mexicans need to stop being so damn bitter at Pacquiao, no I'm not Filipino, I'm just telling the truth.
@nportillo73 I meant Pac couldn't make 130. And how in the hell do you give props to Mayweather for stepping up? LOL. Do you not realize the fight was fought at a catchweight of a 144, a weight, Marquez had never been at and he was bloated and not the same? Do you realize Mayweather did not come in at the weight agreed on and came in at 146 instead? Get your facts straight, Pac fought marquez at marquez's comfortable weights, Floyd only fought and old and bloated marquez, that's what he does.
To everyone, check out the post-fight interview with JMM after his victory Juan Diaz. He just unified the whole division, was considered at his elite best, and was #2 in the world. He CALLED OUT Mayweather, to interviewer Max Kellerman's surprised.
I used to like Pac before assholes had to ruin it with bullshit. Taking credit away from Floyd, that's what they do.
yo exatcly how can u hate mayweather when marquez was the #2 guy ranked p4p and called him out!!! i can dislike mayweather for not making coming down 2lbs.
but they praise a guy(pac) who made cotto come down 2lbs also.
and he fighting mosley next!!! fuck outta here from the assholes descrediting floyd every time.
@P4p775 its just like when people give Pac more credit for for beating DLH than they do Floyd. Floyd went up and fought Oscar @ his more natural weight of 154 whereas Pac made Oscar come down to WW where he hadnt fought in over 5 years. Not only that but he wouldnt even allow Oscar to come in @ the WW limit of 147.
but pacquiao moved from 135 to ww. also oscar nearly won the fight, split decision on score cards. why do you think mayweather never took the rematch for 15mil?
yes he nearly, mayweather admitted to losing 4 rounds. if oscar kept throwing his right jab, he would have won more but he just stopped throwing it. point was, he didnt take the rematch because it was a risk.
@i0hate0this0place DUDE floyd hit oscar with the jab to the bodythen a right hand to the head all night throwing alot of punches mean nothing if they are not landing bro oscar stopped throwing the jab cause he was scared of floyds right and floyd made oscar fight like it was oscar's first fight all over again completely outclassed. that fight showed floyd matureity as a complete boxer
again im not saying floyd didnt look good, he outboxed DLH, but it was still a risk to have a remtach. he had his 20mil, he was already ritch enough to retire, why risk his undefeated record.
@i0hate0this0place no scratch that shit out he got 35 mill not 20 mill those two together generated the highest ppv numbers in history so if that was the case then he would not have fought hatton with 10 1/2 ounce gloves and hatton used 8lbs gloves
@i0hate0this0place cause he got 38 million to fight and undefeated hatton and besides he clearly beat DLH THROWING ALOT OF PUNCHES DONT MEAN SHIT IF THEY ARENT LANDING!!!!!
38 mil for hatton? their fight made less than 900k ppv, show me the proof. he got 38 mil. do the math buddy, 900k ppv makes less than 50m total, with cover costs for 24/7, press conferences and promoter cuts, i highly doubt mayweather recieved 38mil. give me proof buddy, because you dont have to be a genius to work this out.
@i0hate0this0place He didnt take the rematch cuz it wasnt in high demand. Floyd out classed oscar. oscar couldnt engage cuz he couldnt hit shit. Styles make fights and their 2 styles oscar and floyd was a one time watch fight..No one would have paid to see that twice so they moved forward. Floyd took on hatton instead which was another high demand fight!
even though noone would have payed for it, he was already guaranteed a larger amount of money than the first fight. why would he turn it down to beat DLH again? his hatton fight did under 1mil, his rematch with DLH would have done atleast 1.5 if fans thought it wasnt competitive enough, but if history repeats itself rematches always beat the previous in numbers.
@i0hate0this0place Where are u getting yo boxing facts from? cuz where ever its coming from BURN it! Floyd vs Oscar holds the record today for most buys, breaking Tyson vs Evander II. After that he fought Hatton the british bull dog aka hitman who brought his whole fucking country and the band & u said floyd did under a million GET OUT OF HERE with that. And the fans say FLoyd vs Oscar was boring but the next breath they say why no rematch him...lol..are u serious?
@i0hate0this0place Floyd vs Oscar II would've been a hurt to boxing, Floyd is about money but i dont think he'd a stooped that low to rematch Oscar..for what? the fight wasnt even close, oscar couldnt even hit shit and 2 years later he was older and fought Pac at a deads mans weight and couldnt pull the trigger then. No one wanted to see that rematch u manny fans are just blowing smoke! Floyd scared of a oscar rematch lol how manny rds would it take for oscar to beat floyd?
@i0hate0this0place Why did Oscar stop throwing his jab, did he forget? He trained for months and on the night of the big fight he just forgot to throw his jab? Is that really what you think? Do you have any idea how ridiculous that is?
Floyd started countering his jab effectively and oscar stopped throwing it. That is what Floyd does. He takes your options away.
The same way Judah just stopped punching after 6 rounds. I guess he forgot as a trained boxer that he is supposed to punch.
didnt you watch 24/7. they were saying hed tire out later rounds. like judah and hatton. its not about what floyd didnt do in the first rounds, its about what his opponents did. roach was telling him in his corner to throw that jab, but he just never did it. what im saying is, hes so used to fighting his way that he wont follow their game plan and adjust. thats why. its not forgetting but its just his habit, he goes back to his old way.
@i0hate0this0place DLH stopped throwing his jab because Floyd started timing it and countering it and took it away as an option. It is amazing how many boxers just seem to forget to punch against Floyd.
If I had a dollar for every time an opposing trainer said "you just need to throw more punches", I'd be a millionaire.
@i0hate0this0place that split decision was merely to make the fight look close to spark interest in a rematch. Floyd nearly doubled Oscar in punch accuracy (23% to 41% or smthn of that nature). Oscar just kept the crowd in it by throwing flurries of punches near the end of rounds but he wasnt really connecting. After the fight it was clear Oscar was outclassed and the anticipation of a rematch was not nearly what they were hoping for. Thats why Floyd didnt take the rematch.
yea he doubled him in accuracy but DLH was still expected to have alot more thrown and less landing. but de la hoya did win rounds were he was throwing that right jab, but he just stopped doing it. roach was telling him to throw the right jab, but he wasn't. thats a good excuse to turn down 15mil+ though, because it has no anticipation. anyway, i think floyd would still win a rematch, because oscar is nto disciplined enough at that point of his career to change his style.
@i0hate0this0place Floyd has always given away early rounds in fights b/c hes a defensive fighter. he allows his opponents to be the aggressor and show their hand until he adjust to their style & times their punches. If u look @ Oscars post-fight interview he said himself that ppl were going to question why he stopped throwing the jab in the later rounds, but he was getting hit w/ crisp, clean counter punches every time he threw it & felt the reward wasnt worth the risk.
i dont think floyd gives rounds away. he just tires out his opponent. if you look at zab judah, they said they expected him to tire, DLH they said hed tire. so if you look at it with what floyds camp say he never gave any rounds away. when he fought baldomir, he won all rounds because he knew baldomir would chase him the whole night. when he fought marquez he never gave rounds away because marquez couldnt do anything. its not about what floyd didnt do but what his opponents did.
@i0hate0this0place it is not a question of giving rounds away. It is the realization that it is a 12 round fight and doing what it takes to tire an opponent. A punch that would not hurt a guy in the 2nd round will wobble him in the 9th if he is tired.
Floyd will allow a good fighter to throw more to take some sting out of him. It's boxing genius.
@i0hate0this0place Floyd will also allow a good oppoennt to throw more because Fkloyd has the defense to do it. Any idea how tiring it is to throw and miss?
@i0hate0this0place Watch the 9th round of Floyd and Jesus Chavez. Floyd is dominating but every once in a while he lets Chavez throw to guage just how much chavez has left.
Of course the announcers got all excited and were talking about how close it was in the 9th round and they were completely confused when Chavez didn't answer the bell for the 10th.
The announcers missed it but Chavez's trainer knew eactly what Floyd was doing and said ENOUGH!!
@Midnightrambler3760 You hit that boy @i0hate0this0place with so many facts he reverted to the usual "everybody does that not just mayweather he isnt special".
I like when people try to say floyd looked bad in the DLH fight, because I really dont think floyd tried that night because he I think he wanted that hype for the rematch. I bet thats also why it was a split decision, but I dont know just speculating.
@Wacomdeath floyd had fought jose luis castilio at 134, when in fact, castillo weighed 147 on the day of fight. and floyd had weighted 138 on the day of fight. For their first fight, i would not be surprised to hear people saying that castillo had got robbed, but for their second fight, floyd was a much better fighter. did marquez win any round against floyd or showed that he is any better than floyd? saying that floyd fights only bums is total rubbish.
Plus, I shut all "nigger" shit down, be it from Pac fans and esp. from any mexican fans. I gotta run that check on 'em, I don't fuck what they think. They gotta represent my our shit proper. We're a culture that must be prideful and respectful like we're known and like to be known for.
But Mexicans Nationals have the same anti-shit against Mexican-Americans; Mexican-Americans within each other.
Blacks have always been among my top Brothers, since early in life til right on now. No racism here.
Good for you bro'...understand Africans and Mexicans HAVE GOT TO STICK TOGETHER!! It's ok if you like fighters that move and perform with power...just don't forget that others may possess other skill and they all must be respected!! Black N' Brown, Brown N' Black!!
That's right, man. They divided Black people, trying tod ivide Brown. THE LAST THING we need is for them to divid and put us against each other!!! We need to be SMART media critical thinkers i.e. prison riots reported as racially spurred between colors, when the reality is riots pop off because of a buildup on neglect between prisoner and a lack of concern/actions of the C.O.'s and administrations/wardens.
Please remember brothers like me when you see a Mexican acting the fool. We're all one.
And you damn right. I said before that no one can say their race is better or the best at boxing. EACH has their strengths:
Black fighters, generally speaking are the fastest, Mexicans the toughest/best chins. Fighters from Africa the strongest (a tough fight with them always takes a little out of you), British/Welsh among the most proud and loyal. Yheir fans esp. British are the greatest in the world; they always bring great electricity to fight (and look how that country stuck up for Bruno.)

He is amazing at that. his head movement, foot work and shoulder roll are all excellent. cant ask more
JCSAP123 1 year ago 26
@JCSAP123 Ok. Thats very true. He is very good but why is he dodging Manny??? He is really trying hard to dodge Manny. I think most ppl don't hate him because he is good but because he is being a punk and not fighting Manny thats what it comes down to. He is a great fighter but why not fight the best? A punk fighter that gets his perfect record by being a bully and fighting only ppl you know you will beat doesn't deserve everyones respect. If he beats Manny then he will earn everyone's respect.
rbaez333 1 year ago
@rbaez333 Hey bro.. Floyd made more than 20 million dollars for shane mosley fight. It is more than anyone can make in a year. I guess he is not interested in training and fight for now. There is this little thing called "life" for everyone to enjoy. I think fight will happen next year thou. If it doesnt happen next year, than, i will say that floyd is ducking Manny. Here is a fact. Floyd has been fighting guys that are bigger than him. He is almost flawless at what he does. He deserve credits.

@rbaez333 you cant speak for everyone.. Trust me when the fight happens(it will I believe) and Mayweather wins everyone's going to say either 1. he's meant to win because he's the bigger guy or 2. Pac was blood drain etc
laistar 1 year ago
@laistar I don't know what everyone else would say and I don't care. I know that I will say, "good job". Its only natural to want to see the best go against the best its entertainment. Isn't that why boxing even exist, to entertain us? So don't defend Mayweather and get mad at everyone just because we want to see the best fight the best. People know Mayweather is good me included. His record is perfect, but why is he dodging Manny? I am not sure either. We can only speculate as to why.
rbaez333 1 year ago
@rbaez333 Do you lack comprehension skills? I'm not mad or defending Mayweather but calling him a 'punk' doesn't sit well with me considering what he's done for the sport and vice versa. Both sides of the party are to BLAME for the fight, had Pac conceded to the 14 day cutoff which Mayweather was willing to compromise, the fight would of happened in 2009, not to mention Arum's clock rofl. Mayweather is to be blamed for his vacation 2nd time around. Fighting Margarito isn't the best either.
laistar 1 year ago
@laistar No I don't lack comprehension skills! Do you? I could care less about them both now. This discussion is getting boring. Have the last word if you want but I probably won't be responding to this meaningless discussion anymore.

For Every Single Fight Floyd has had, Roger has Always Come Up with the Right Game Plan Prior to the First Bell, and then During the Fight he Always Gives Floyd the Proper Instructions as well. brotherhood302 2 years ago
Like I did Roy Jr., I ALWAYS gave P4P #1 respect to Jr.; gotta b real.
nportillo73 2 years ago
So in the Marquez fight, I was pulling for Jr., and my homie was like, early on: AHHH MAN!! This is the same thing that happened with Chavez-Whitakker. I can see it already!!!
Just like Whitakker made him a fan after that (I liked Pernell already; Meldrick's my all-time), after the Marquez fight he said, "Floyd Jr. made me a fan! I'm a fan of Floyd's now. I gotta give it up to him. He put on a great performance..."
See, he didn't like Pac doing JMM like he did. He respected Jr. 4 stepping up.
nportillo73 2 years ago
@nportillo73 Pac doing JMM what? He fought him twice. Had weight problems and couldn't make 135 again and moved up for a tune up against Diaz to then fight Oscar De La Hoya. A fight almost everybody predicted he was going to lose and lose bad. You Mexicans need to stop being so damn bitter at Pacquiao, no I'm not Filipino, I'm just telling the truth.
Wacomdeath 2 years ago
@nportillo73 I meant Pac couldn't make 130. And how in the hell do you give props to Mayweather for stepping up? LOL. Do you not realize the fight was fought at a catchweight of a 144, a weight, Marquez had never been at and he was bloated and not the same? Do you realize Mayweather did not come in at the weight agreed on and came in at 146 instead? Get your facts straight, Pac fought marquez at marquez's comfortable weights, Floyd only fought and old and bloated marquez, that's what he does.
Wacomdeath 2 years ago
To everyone, check out the post-fight interview with JMM after his victory Juan Diaz. He just unified the whole division, was considered at his elite best, and was #2 in the world. He CALLED OUT Mayweather, to interviewer Max Kellerman's surprised.
I used to like Pac before assholes had to ruin it with bullshit. Taking credit away from Floyd, that's what they do.
nportillo73 2 years ago 2

P4p775 2 years ago 36
@P4p775 its just like when people give Pac more credit for for beating DLH than they do Floyd. Floyd went up and fought Oscar @ his more natural weight of 154 whereas Pac made Oscar come down to WW where he hadnt fought in over 5 years. Not only that but he wouldnt even allow Oscar to come in @ the WW limit of 147.
bull6599 1 year ago
exactly and if you watch the interview after the fight floyd weighed 148 and he put he weighed 150
savealotakeem 1 year ago
but pacquiao moved from 135 to ww. also oscar nearly won the fight, split decision on score cards. why do you think mayweather never took the rematch for 15mil?
i0hate0this0place 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place oscar nearly diddnt win shit watch closely
gta440 1 year ago
yes he nearly, mayweather admitted to losing 4 rounds. if oscar kept throwing his right jab, he would have won more but he just stopped throwing it. point was, he didnt take the rematch because it was a risk.
i0hate0this0place 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place DUDE floyd hit oscar with the jab to the bodythen a right hand to the head all night throwing alot of punches mean nothing if they are not landing bro oscar stopped throwing the jab cause he was scared of floyds right and floyd made oscar fight like it was oscar's first fight all over again completely outclassed. that fight showed floyd matureity as a complete boxer
gta440 1 year ago
again im not saying floyd didnt look good, he outboxed DLH, but it was still a risk to have a remtach. he had his 20mil, he was already ritch enough to retire, why risk his undefeated record.
i0hate0this0place 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place no scratch that shit out he got 35 mill not 20 mill those two together generated the highest ppv numbers in history so if that was the case then he would not have fought hatton with 10 1/2 ounce gloves and hatton used 8lbs gloves
gta440 1 year ago
my point exactly, why would he turn down 35mil plus just to beat DLH again?
i0hate0this0place 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place cause he got 38 million to fight and undefeated hatton and besides he clearly beat DLH THROWING ALOT OF PUNCHES DONT MEAN SHIT IF THEY ARENT LANDING!!!!!
gta440 1 year ago
38 mil for hatton? their fight made less than 900k ppv, show me the proof. he got 38 mil. do the math buddy, 900k ppv makes less than 50m total, with cover costs for 24/7, press conferences and promoter cuts, i highly doubt mayweather recieved 38mil. give me proof buddy, because you dont have to be a genius to work this out.
i0hate0this0place 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place he brought it up in the 24/7 against marquez if you forgot. mayweather had mayweather promotions as well so yes 38 mill buddy
gta440 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place a Floyd/Oscar rematch was highly ridiculed by boxing writers.
Midnightrambler3760 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place He didnt take the rematch cuz it wasnt in high demand. Floyd out classed oscar. oscar couldnt engage cuz he couldnt hit shit. Styles make fights and their 2 styles oscar and floyd was a one time watch fight..No one would have paid to see that twice so they moved forward. Floyd took on hatton instead which was another high demand fight!
Chuckylee 1 year ago
even though noone would have payed for it, he was already guaranteed a larger amount of money than the first fight. why would he turn it down to beat DLH again? his hatton fight did under 1mil, his rematch with DLH would have done atleast 1.5 if fans thought it wasnt competitive enough, but if history repeats itself rematches always beat the previous in numbers.
i0hate0this0place 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place Where are u getting yo boxing facts from? cuz where ever its coming from BURN it! Floyd vs Oscar holds the record today for most buys, breaking Tyson vs Evander II. After that he fought Hatton the british bull dog aka hitman who brought his whole fucking country and the band & u said floyd did under a million GET OUT OF HERE with that. And the fans say FLoyd vs Oscar was boring but the next breath they say why no rematch him...lol..are u serious?
Chuckylee 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place Floyd vs Oscar II would've been a hurt to boxing, Floyd is about money but i dont think he'd a stooped that low to rematch Oscar..for what? the fight wasnt even close, oscar couldnt even hit shit and 2 years later he was older and fought Pac at a deads mans weight and couldnt pull the trigger then. No one wanted to see that rematch u manny fans are just blowing smoke! Floyd scared of a oscar rematch lol how manny rds would it take for oscar to beat floyd?
Chuckylee 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place Why did Oscar stop throwing his jab, did he forget? He trained for months and on the night of the big fight he just forgot to throw his jab? Is that really what you think? Do you have any idea how ridiculous that is?
Floyd started countering his jab effectively and oscar stopped throwing it. That is what Floyd does. He takes your options away.
The same way Judah just stopped punching after 6 rounds. I guess he forgot as a trained boxer that he is supposed to punch.
Midnightrambler3760 1 year ago
didnt you watch 24/7. they were saying hed tire out later rounds. like judah and hatton. its not about what floyd didnt do in the first rounds, its about what his opponents did. roach was telling him in his corner to throw that jab, but he just never did it. what im saying is, hes so used to fighting his way that he wont follow their game plan and adjust. thats why. its not forgetting but its just his habit, he goes back to his old way.
i0hate0this0place 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place DLH stopped throwing his jab because Floyd started timing it and countering it and took it away as an option. It is amazing how many boxers just seem to forget to punch against Floyd.
If I had a dollar for every time an opposing trainer said "you just need to throw more punches", I'd be a millionaire.
Midnightrambler3760 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place that split decision was merely to make the fight look close to spark interest in a rematch. Floyd nearly doubled Oscar in punch accuracy (23% to 41% or smthn of that nature). Oscar just kept the crowd in it by throwing flurries of punches near the end of rounds but he wasnt really connecting. After the fight it was clear Oscar was outclassed and the anticipation of a rematch was not nearly what they were hoping for. Thats why Floyd didnt take the rematch.
bull6599 1 year ago
yea he doubled him in accuracy but DLH was still expected to have alot more thrown and less landing. but de la hoya did win rounds were he was throwing that right jab, but he just stopped doing it. roach was telling him to throw the right jab, but he wasn't. thats a good excuse to turn down 15mil+ though, because it has no anticipation. anyway, i think floyd would still win a rematch, because oscar is nto disciplined enough at that point of his career to change his style.
i0hate0this0place 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place Floyd has always given away early rounds in fights b/c hes a defensive fighter. he allows his opponents to be the aggressor and show their hand until he adjust to their style & times their punches. If u look @ Oscars post-fight interview he said himself that ppl were going to question why he stopped throwing the jab in the later rounds, but he was getting hit w/ crisp, clean counter punches every time he threw it & felt the reward wasnt worth the risk.
bull6599 1 year ago
@bull6599 exactly you understand help me out with this dude LOLOL!!
gta440 1 year ago
i dont think floyd gives rounds away. he just tires out his opponent. if you look at zab judah, they said they expected him to tire, DLH they said hed tire. so if you look at it with what floyds camp say he never gave any rounds away. when he fought baldomir, he won all rounds because he knew baldomir would chase him the whole night. when he fought marquez he never gave rounds away because marquez couldnt do anything. its not about what floyd didnt do but what his opponents did.
i0hate0this0place 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place it is not a question of giving rounds away. It is the realization that it is a 12 round fight and doing what it takes to tire an opponent. A punch that would not hurt a guy in the 2nd round will wobble him in the 9th if he is tired.
Floyd will allow a good fighter to throw more to take some sting out of him. It's boxing genius.
Midnightrambler3760 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place Floyd will also allow a good oppoennt to throw more because Fkloyd has the defense to do it. Any idea how tiring it is to throw and miss?
Midnightrambler3760 1 year ago
@i0hate0this0place Watch the 9th round of Floyd and Jesus Chavez. Floyd is dominating but every once in a while he lets Chavez throw to guage just how much chavez has left.
Of course the announcers got all excited and were talking about how close it was in the 9th round and they were completely confused when Chavez didn't answer the bell for the 10th.
The announcers missed it but Chavez's trainer knew eactly what Floyd was doing and said ENOUGH!!
Midnightrambler3760 1 year ago
incase you didnt know, all fighters do that. chavez is not a good example of mayweathers skills. try castillo and judah.
i0hate0this0place 1 year ago

No racism here.
nportillo73 2 years ago 3
Good for you bro'...understand Africans and Mexicans HAVE GOT TO STICK TOGETHER!! It's ok if you like fighters that move and perform with power...just don't forget that others may possess other skill and they all must be respected!! Black N' Brown, Brown N' Black!!
brotherhood302 2 years ago 3
That's right, man. They divided Black people, trying tod ivide Brown. THE LAST THING we need is for them to divid and put us against each other!!! We need to be SMART media critical thinkers i.e. prison riots reported as racially spurred between colors, when the reality is riots pop off because of a buildup on neglect between prisoner and a lack of concern/actions of the C.O.'s and administrations/wardens.
Please remember brothers like me when you see a Mexican acting the fool. We're all one.
nportillo73 2 years ago
And you damn right. I said before that no one can say their race is better or the best at boxing. EACH has their strengths:
Black fighters, generally speaking are the fastest, Mexicans the toughest/best chins. Fighters from Africa the strongest (a tough fight with them always takes a little out of you), British/Welsh among the most proud and loyal. Yheir fans esp. British are the greatest in the world; they always bring great electricity to fight (and look how that country stuck up for Bruno.)
