I am also 100% sure the max is 6 speed. I would be the M3 is auto or has an incompetent driver. Also, when a car gets a jump on another it is really hard to catch up and pass.
very true but as an owner of both cars... i love nismo and i love dinan, its just crazy cause a maxima with bolt ons can put up a good run with an m3 that has a i/e... That 03 max is nice though, the vq35 sure put up a fight with the S54...those e46's are supposed to run low 13's stock.. Vq35 with 255hp and bolt ons do work!!
I had a e36 m3 and I now have my maxima a32, the maxima in the bid has some stuff on it because those e46 m3's are getting 333 hp to the crank and that maxima with the vq35 is getting about 230-250 at the crank.. So I would say the max probably had bolt jn and an ecu upgrade and that m3 must of probably been stock.. Good run though, I'm happy to see that the vq35 pulled through!!!
