I'm not a competive kettlebell lifter, but I have had the pleasure to work with a couple on occasion. They are tremendous athletes, and even though I mostly work with the hardstyle of kettlebell training, there is much to be learned and gained from Girevoy Sport training. As for getting started with competing, I'd say to first seek out a good instructor in your area, preferably one who competes themselves. That should get you set on the right path. good luck!
