  • why do folk insist on ghiving negative comments get a life!¬!!! nice work young yin x

  • is that a standing martingale?

  • @xStarClanPS3 no its a running one but i put it on his nose band i think. i cant remember, this was years ago

  • @milliesos It's a running martinglae, You don't put it on his noseband, The rings go through the reins.

  • I would do a pad under the saddle.

  • @xdhahaomg he has one on

  • @xdhahaomg lol the only reason for a saddle pad is to absorb sweat. If your saddle fits properly then you don't need one.

He looks like he's having fun (:

  • Aww hes so cute, not a bd rider either for and eight year old

  • Shut the hell up you rude commenting cowards hes 8 and i think hes got a better seat than anyone who comments rudley does!!! Well Done xoxxo

  • AWWWWWW he is good for 8 and his little face when he jumped was beaming so cute!!!!

  • aww thats so cute. he did well for a someone just starting

  • Aww bless:)

  • awwwwwwwwwwwww he's soooooo sweet

  • Reminds me of when i first started riding! Ponies can be so sweet! He looks like he is so happy after jumping the cross rail! Good for him! if he keeps up riding like this he could be in the olyimpics!

  • Hahaa I really don't see the need for the negative comments.. Of course flatwork is extremely import.. But when your 8 years old the most important thing is to gain confidence, balance and most of all have fun! Fancy saying that to an 8 year old! I probably pulled my pony in the mouth lots when i was younger.. but hey she forgave me! :') LOL x

  • so cute!

  • haaa he's only 8 and he's just learning.. give him a break and go establish your flatwork where the sun doesn't shine!

  • @jazbaby100 now iv not used that saying for a long time. TAKE IT WHERE THE SUN DONT SHINE lol xxx

  • awwhh cute!! thats pretty good for an 8 year old!! he looked so proud afterwards!! :)xxx

  • that was good !!

  • orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

  • soo cute good rider for 8 :)

  • Sweet, lovely pony. Looks just like 'Merrylegs'!

  • i think thought he was heavy on the bit, it was only for like 5 mins and if the pony was too unhappy it would have done something about it. they were both having a laugh and that is what riding should be about, having fun and enjoying every second x

  • he was pretty good them

  • omg

  • I think before you jump him or the pony, you should at least have basic flatwork established. Even though he's 8, he was hanging off that pony's mouth. Its dangerous and immature to make him do something he obviously isn't ready to do.

    But the jump was nice.

  • @AlwaysEquine Iv been razing around on ponies since i got my first pony when i was 3. Now 21 and doing ok. the pony is also still going well at like 27 or something. Its all a bit of fun, hardly going to kill anyone!

  • Does he ride horses like and get horse riding lessons?

  • @ThePonyEventer nope

  • @milliesos he should it is really fun

  • Ok guys be nice he is only 8 i am 12 and well i am not that great at riding but you know i dont get stick from people nor should this young lad

  • look he is only 8 and its a snaffle i know that hackamores are horrible pieces of tack and shouldnt be made but i think that u should say nice comments come he is only 8 the horse and kid are adorable

  • both the pony and the kid were adorable

  • exactly an experienced use of them

  • I just read you said hackamores are harsh pieces of equiment. I would just like to say they are safe and perfectly fine if used correctly and are no different from a snaffle bit. Just depends on your experience with teh correct way of using them.

  • @EveDarkAngel666 My instructor will not put one with in half a mile of a horse. They compress the soft part of the face and if not fitted correctly or used by inexperience people they can damage the nose (the only way a horse can breath) Yes a bit could do just as much danage but at least the thing can still breath.

  • @milliesos Just to chuck in my 2pence worth :) if ur looking for a bitless bridle try a Dr Cook x

  • @milliesos I'm not on any side here, just wanted to share something interesting. actually, if a horse can't breath through its mouth a hole can be cut through the neck (re-routing the esophagus or something) and they can actually breath through that hole. the hole has to be cleaned regularly however, like twice a day. A horse I've worked with at a therapudic riding center has this and it doesn't hold him back :)

  • @RidingTemptation what are you talking about?

  • @milliesos you said their nose is the only way they can breath

  • @RidingTemptation OMFG are you stupid!!!

  • @milliesos nah i mean, for knowing all that, I'm pretty darn proud of how smart I was. No need to get mean.

  • @EveDarkAngel666 i agree, they're deffinetly not harsh, but they are strong, my friend uses one for his dressage horse cause she is a right loon sometimes lol

  • He's good but I feel bad for that pony's mouth, take it from me, a heavy handed kid is the last thing you want on a pony if you don't want it ruined.

  • @Hantarrrrr You said it your self A KID!!!! You cant teach a kid how to ride by reading a book or by telling it not to pull on the mouth. The pony was fine AS YOU CAN SEE and is in a snaffle. You have to learn one way or another

  • @milliesos WOW way too get overly defensive? All I was saying is I DO feel bad for that pony's mouth because it doesn't matter what bit's in the horse's mouth, a kid can ruin a horse in a hackamore. Yeah, kids have got to learn one way or another, but it still sucks for the lesson pony they're learning on. I own a mare that was ruined by little kids, it took years to get her training back in order. If you're posting a video like this you're bound to get criticized, bud. Deal with it.

  • @Hantarrrrr

A hackamore is a harsh bit of tack!! I would nevr have one on any horse I ride never mind a kid!! This pony is a driving pony and one that i used to spend HOURS hacking around the mountains of North Wales!! Ridden a few times by kids is hardly going to do him any harm!

  • awwww! hes so cute!

  • awwee the smile on his face was pricless

  • Wow!! hes good!!!

  • REALLY GOOD!!!!!!!! thats about how good i was wen i was 8!

  • Well, I'd give him a 7 out of 10!

For his age, he was really good! :)

  • This is adorable! I wish my little brother could do that on my pony!

  • So cute =D

  • he dose good

  • You to chill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think your brother is good i am seeing the next william funnell in the future lol :)

  • he is actually quite good :) and the pony is really sweet <3

  • He's good for his age my friends sister is 11 and she is scared of horses

  • aww at least he would ride a horse , my bro is 8 and he wont go near em lmaoo (;

  • He looks like a sweet pony and he looks like a good jumper :)

  • awwww he is good for a 8 year old good on him :)

  • Is that pony gaited or is that just a little trot? xD lol Soo cute, hes very good :)

  • aww thats well cute(: x

  • HES VERY GOOD HES BETTER THAN ME AND IM NINE

  • WOW HE IS FANTASTIC FOR AN 8 YEAR OLD tell him well done :P

  • why are people complaining about the horse not having a numnah? seriously. You don't have to have a saddle cloth or numnah! it's your own choice. as long as the saddle fits perfectly.. anyway. That was back then, so people stop arguing... ( he's quite good btw) x

  • wow be nicer milliesos thats really mean

  • u need to shutup and stop being a big fat brat that complains about anything that goes wrong so shutup and leave me alone u @#$%

  • @westerngirl2211

    How PATHETIC!

  • @westerngirl2211 ahahaha troller cant handle the heat :P

  • i think he's a pretty dang good rider, and the reason it probobly looks like he's tugging on the reins so tight is probobly because the reins are a little long, therefor he has to pull more to take up the slack, like she said before this pony is still going very fast so obviously its not really taking much notice to that,,

  • you need to shut your face ,and stop pouting like a three year old ,and leave me alone it is just a stupid little comment and you dont need to gt all mad about it. SHUTUP

  • @westerngirl2211

blarrr blarrrr blarrrr! Go play dollies with some one that cares. Please learn how to spell if you dont want people to call you stupid......STUPID LITTLE CHILD

  • @westerngirl2211

Your telling her to leave you alone, yet your the one commenting on her vid... :/ x

  • dont call me stupid i bet i know much more about horses than u do and i am sorry for making u feel bad about ur brother but seriosly dont call me stupid u .........

  • @westerngirl2211

For a person to come back with "i bet i no more about horses than you do" and not even spell it right, just shows how STUPID and uneducated you are!

  • @milliesos

    guys stop arguing please

i think he did very well was it his first time ?

goood ! xx i bet if he took lessons he would be a great rider ! x

  • u want saddle sores ok and stop holding reins so tite

  • @westerngirl2211

He is 8 years old. The pony as you can clearly see is very strong. If my brother was holding the reins so tight do you think the pony would still be going as fast? Are you stupid? If i wanted saddle sores i would not have a saddle pad on. Take a look at my newer videos of my two 5 year olds and you will see that i have a numnah, foam back pad and a sheep skin saddle pad!! Grow up!

  • @staceyshithead

I show and ride with one so your comment is pointless to me. This pony has one on here as well. Yes some people dont use them for showing. I spend all summer showing and see many with out.

  • @staceyshithead the numnah doesn't need to be used if the saddle fits the horse perfectly. true you should ride with a pad when working, but generally you don't need one for shows...

  • @staceyshithead

Yes he has one on. Even if he didnt it wouldnt matter as you dont show with one on!

  • @milliesos Unless you wan horrible saddle sores it does matter

  • @squidandcornflake

Just incase your so stupid you cant read my last comment. I clearly said HE HAS ONE ON so what does your comment matter to me?

  • it's not that bad!

  • aaww awesome rider cute pony but looks a little like me pony...a brat and hes a really good rider for being 8!! :)

  • such a cute pony and a good little rider !!

  • lol hes pretty good my brother dosnt even like gettin on a horse since I fell off he hasnt fallen off at all

  • for all them people who think he was rubish I think the complite oppersite!!!

  • I think he did excelent.!!!!

  • hes good for an 8 yr old better than most 8 yr old!!!!!!good job kid!!!!!!

  • So adorable. He doesn't look bad at all. Better than I could ride at that age.

  • So cute!

  • aww that was so cute he is a good jumper for an 8 year old

  • your pony is beeeuttiifffuull and the little boy is really cute when he smiles at the end and people shouldnt be mean because some people dont even give jumping a try :)

  • LOL hes a great rider!!! good job he will be a great rider!!

  • hes amazin for his age haha :)

  • Aww, so cute.. The only thing was you could tell he was sort of nervous because he was hanging on the horses mouth.. they look so cute together and he is a very good rider for 8. c:

  • well hello again

yer i know he had seen all the other kids on hear jumping so he was beging me to jump.

so i just put up a tiny jump

that pony was way to much for him even i had loads of falls from him, in my 17 years of riding iv never fallen of one pony so much in my life.

my brother is riding a 5 year old now but only in the school

  • Yeah, well good on him!!!! Brave little guy. I know you don't have that pony anymore.....did seem a bit quick.....and that trot!!!! Hold on!!!!! Good luck to your little brother.

  • thanks

hes sat with me now looking at ponies for sale, its his 10 birthday this sunday so hes trying to beg my mum for one.

  • Well happy birthday to him! He's turning my daughter's age!

And being a Mom myself, (make sure he does a lot of begging with puppy-dog eyes) lol

  • haha well hes good at that.

We are hoping to get our own land in the next year, so mum wants to wait untill then because lewi fights.

My brother was having lessons from the lady i used to have them from when i was 8 but he thinks shes to bossy so hes been riding millie, shes fliiping amazing for a rising 4 year old. I give lessons twice a week to a little 11 year old, we schooled her in a halter last week.

She has he moments so i only trust her in the school with the kids.

  • Oh that will be nice....(the land) it looks really mountainous (is that a word) where you live. Yes, Millie's really well behaved for such a youngster. I don't blame you.....better to be safe than sorry! Every horse has their moments! Your section A pony (that you used to have) reminds me of my dearly departed friends pony ...his name was Pockets...cutest little Welsh with the tiniest ears. He was the sweetest boy....I miss him. They took him when my friend passed away

  • haha yep its very nice buy me i have the beach and the mountains right on my door step.

Did you look up my post code on google erath?

you can see how close we are

  • *earth*

sorry been a long long 9 hours in work and iv just got home to find my brothers are having a sleep over GREAT

  • god wat is t with biger older people like us and ponies serosily iv fallen of a bucking 11 hh mare but stayed on a buking 16 hh lol weird

  • i find is easier to fall off ponies than horses, well same thing happened to me with a 14 hh n a 16 hh, i managed to stay on the horse, mainly because there was somethink underneath me if that makes sense, like longer neck and all that

  • lovley
