  • The years it all started. The good days!

  • Am so glad I was there and at the age of 19 when this song came out, it was great watching and listening on MTV back then, Today I turn the TV on, try to watch the new videos and nothing happens, the magic is lost. God I wish some one invented a fucking time machine, I'd be going back to the 80's and stay there for good

  • love this beat, love this song big ups to the 90's

  • ROB BASE DIDN'T BLOW BECAUSE OF CROOKED MANAGEMENT. "CURTIS" IN THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO REALLY WAS HIS MANAGER. HE WAS ALSO VERY GREEDY. THE BIGGEST SNAKE IN THE GRASS I EVER CAME ACROSS IN MY LIFE. A WOMEN BEATER AND ALL THAT GOOD STUFF. WHAT MAKE IT BAD IS THE FACT THAT HE PASSED HIS WAYS DOWN TO HIS 13 CHILDREN SO THE CYCLE CONTINUES.

  • @eliforpresident1 I heard that about Curtis, Rob did an interview awhile back ago and he says he regrets some of the decisions that were made in the past includeing not paying attention to Curtis or paying attetion to the business side of things.

  • Fuckin' awesome

  • I heard this on the radio, and I thought it was New Kids on the Block the entire time.

  • Rob Base was the best rapper of the 80s -90s, and one of the top 3 of all time. And this is from a Southern, white, 37-year-old heavy metal fan. This song was AWESOME!

  • LOVE THIS

  • NOBODY CARES HOW OLD YOU ARE YOU CAN APPRECIATE ANY MUSIC AT ANY AGE! thank you :)

  • @fjgghjhjg u missed the fucking point..

  • GREAT..GREETINGS from florence..CiAo..

  • @JScott1266

No, it's "...cause I'm fresher than you, and your WACK. "

  • @erokbgordon I know, "white" is kinda funny though.

  • mann i'm only 12 teen years old but this shyt be better than any of that shyt out there now lol

  • I'm 16 years old and I can honestly say: I enjoy this kind of music more than half the things I hear on the radio everyday.

  • whos the guy singing the chours?????

  • @STREETCITYMOB I think he mentions the name in the song. He says Omar Chandler at 2:25. I'm guessing that's the guy singing.

  • sunshine and rain joy and pain

  • Alright, I must say it is mainly the beat and the catchy chorus that I like! YOU KNOW what I mean!

  • I WAS IN NEW BURNSWICK NJ SOME KIDS TOOK MY CD WHEN I WENT IN THE HOUSE,IT WAS SO FUNNY DAMM KIDS

  • rob, let the lyrics flow

  • Dis was my momma jam back in the day lol. She still be jammin to it NOW...

  • Love this stuff. Takes me back

  • Giving my 7 year daughter of real music

  • Wow-- I'll age myself here a bit, but when this song was fresh in the D.C. clubs, people used to go out, dance, have fun and not be shot or stabbed. The music was great- singable, danceable, and didn't contain lyrics about raping, shooting, stealing, turf wars, being a drug using/ drunken bum who sponges off the system with their baby daddy/ momma. Bring back old skool!

  • @tbnewellsr

Amen to that! I'm in the UK, and the story is similar here - you went out to have a good time, and NOT to be turned over by some pissed up bighead JAMF encouraged by some useless tosser he'd heard on a rap record. Old Skool rules!

  • @tbnewellsr One can only hope the wheel will turn again. That's usually how history works.

  • @tbnewellsr omg where yeh from gangsterz where alive b4 hip hop ...here from google :By the early 1970s black street gangs began to reemerge. By 1972, the Crips were firmly established and the Bloods were beginning to organize. This period saw the rise of LA’s newest gangs, which continued to grow during the 1970s, and later formed in several other cities throughout the United States by the 1990s.

  • @tbnewellsr The song was fresh in D.C. clubs / Georgetown . The Dome / and a club FKA Winstons. Still a great song and artist.

  • @tbnewellsr

lol are you sure you were alive in the 80s?

  • at the risk of sounding old

Where did this Great music go

  • I remember sweating out my perm to great party songs like these, I couldn't stay off the dance floor, no one could really. My era had great music, this era not so much! I go out to a party today and unless its an old school party I find myself sitting in my seat the whole night or just leaving early because all they want to play all night is Drake, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne or some T-pain mess. SHM, we need to get back to the essence of hip hop, when hip hop could be fun and thought provoking.

  • One of my ultimate favorite old school party days song by Rob Base

  • Rap music in the 80th through the 90th was great now rap music suck. Rob Base was all that.

  • old school is the shit i agree this new trash is bull get old school

  • Grooves and rhymes = jams that are fun to pump. I haven't listened to Hip hop since the 90's.

  • i use to love that chain love and this song!!!! joy pump it up ad pain sunshine and rain (listen now god children)

  • this is sooooo much cooler than the hiphop of today =3

  • damn dis song reminds me back in da dayz i would neva stop listen 2 it da was the jam everywhere u go da was pupping up wow i use 2 do some nice dance challenge on dis club back den lol thx 2 put it up

  • oh HELL YES this is the shit man that crap ou there today don't bring any happiness to anyone just instills anger and hatred!~

  • I am so flashing back to my teen years, this song STILL rocks!

  • I have to listen my own homemade CD's or Youtube videos like this.

    .

    BECAUSE THE RADIO SUCKS

  • what the fuck does lil wayne have to do with rob base????? lil wayne got nothin on them 80's-90's artist. DMX was right, "lil wayne aint shit."

  • I miss this kind of music today.... the 80s were the golden age !

  • i remember how shit-tay this sounded on my stock VW Scirocco speakers, lol

  • "Me n my boys we make noise..."

  • love this song they need this music today party hardy on this joint...

  • this brings alot of memories back

  • Ahh, I Was Still A Kid During These Times Buuht I Still Love The 90's Hip Hop And Agree it's Better Than Anything Today. With The Exception Of Kid Cudi And Shwayze. Haa.

  • Yes Yes!!!!! When rap had meaning to it!!! Who remembers those days? Those were good days!

  • the era are tha best of rap,no shit will ever meet up with da 80s/early 90s

  • These are the godfathers of rap...all new comers give homage.

  • Giving up the LOVE to you today.. .again and always... Peace and Love... Joy and Pain to you all.. all part of God's Plan.. keep it real y'all. :)

  • I think even Lil Wayne would admit that anything Rob Base and E-Z Rock did shits all over anything he's done. I'm not knocking Lil Wayne or anything, i happen to like his stuff actually, but c'mon, listen to this, it's gold.

  • LOVE this song and love to YOU for posting it ♥~Peace~♥

  • Amazing song!

  • ROB BASE LIVE!!! July 25 2010 at the CAUSE FOR THE PAWS BENEFIT in Brooklyn New York, from Noon till 7PM... at Club F1 located at 823 65th Street in BayRidge, hit me up for info! 3472602878

  • The greatest rapper that never was. I never understood why Rob didn't blow up after this album. He was 100 times better than Hammer yet he became just the flavor of that year. Too bad. We were forced to look at Hammer dancing around in those goofy baggy pants for the next two years and spawned the abomination that was Vanilla Ice. Dre and Snoop finally got rap back on track somewhat but their obsession with weed and malt liquor hurt hip hop in the long run.

  • @billyblueification Its because he is like the CIA, his influance is felt around the world, at many times, and will fvck you up if you ignore it.

  • @billyblueification this quite was an accurate description of those fabulous times early 90s

whatever happened to Rob Base and EZ Rock ??

    Peace!

  • @billyblueification Yup ur right all rappers act like fools cause of the ;Gangsta Rap: era they all act like a bunch of fools now

  • @billyblueification / their record label jerked him.. they did a interview on vh1 ..

  • @billyblueification He was a junkie. He had a drug habit and his production team didn't clear any of his samples. Almost everything they earned went to the production team and original artist. He tried to go solo but by then the buzz was gone.

  • @billyblueification ILL tell u why he never blow up after when u do dirty business too people him & his mgr i was his dj with ez rock i was dj ez kid i was the one who got him the deal & producer with dj steve dee i have a big miss understanding with mgr ment that run the lable before profile deal he was sign to world two world rec this is all true but when u live in lies it comes back people know that was around i can tell u much more we will talk

  • no matter what age or what music is hot... this will always be one of them songs that make you stop to dance & sing along! :) LOVE IT!!

  • classic!!

  • Rap/Hip Hop used to rhyme...which required talent and rhythm. Feel good music that didn't need anyone 'bustin' a cap' to be cool.

  • 0:30 to 0:32 she moves so damn smoother it looked like she was floating down the room. I have not seen a person move like that in 20 years. The ability to move that damn graceful is gone. Its no longer exist in the human genome. Sexier than MOTHER FUCKING HELL.

Lets not forget the big man singing shown from the side. That is classic hip hop style. This shit is dead. Was good when it lasted though.

  • Great old school song!

  • here we go rob base now joyooooooooooyoooooyoooooooooh ya com on come ooooonn com on on

  • this the shit!

  • THE JAM....

  • THE JAM!

  • Oh hell i love this jam!!!

  • True that... Rap Music back in the 80's was all about the music and the beats that was the best, not like nowadays it's all about killing another and bragging of what the fuck they have.

  • @harderizbetter lol, so true.

  • @harderizbetter yup, goin into the 90's it kinda became more tense, but it was still all good. But now, damn...

  • @harderizbetter I agee.

  • @harderizbetter because this is hip hop!

rap - lies = hip hop.

  • @harderizbetter im 27 years old, and i gotta agree with ya. Rappers were a lot more dignified back then.

    CLASSIC SHIT

  • @harderizbetter your a total retard have you ever heard eminem he kicks this guys ass anyday

  • @harderizbetter Are you serious? The beats are looped samples and the lyrics are about how good they rap, how well they're known, fame, cars, girls, money, drugs, shot at, etc. pretty much the same recipe today. Don't get me wrong. I listened to it back in the day and can appreciate some good party tunes but don't compare it to Mozart or Tool. There is nothing deep, intricate, complex or groundbreaking about this stuff.

  • @harderizbetter fucvk n a bra!!

  • Who are the 6 people who dont like this. Are they deaf?

  • LOve it Love it so muchhhhhhhhhh never gets old to me , this is the real shiat

  • I love Old School Rap! I hate New Rap!

  • It's unbelievable how you can go to ANY rap video and somebody mentions Lil' Wayne. Me and boy were going through random rap videos from every era and laughing our ass off at how someone mentioned Lil' Wayne EVERY TIME. If you don't like him, fine, I don't like him either, but I just don't talk about him. By constantly mentioning him even when the song has nothing to do with him you're keeping him relevant. Don't you idiots understand that?

  • im 22 and i say lil wayne cam suck my dick. i am black.

  • i used to sing this back in high school!

  • u kno everyone has to go old school this shit is hot like fire

  • Total classic, like sunshine and rain.

  • thats that shit yo

  • PUMP IT UP! PUMP IT UP!

  • i love this shit... reminds me of high school

  • oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

  • Ya buddy u tell'em dim!!!!

  • Joy and Pain! WHAT!!!!! Sunshine and Rain! WHAT!!!! lol. im sorry i just love this song so much. :-)

  • ahhhhhh this is my shit!!!!! lol

  • this song i old school, but i still like it

  • STUNNING ! I LIKE THE WAY ROB DANCE.

  • @123ertr i know right

  • wow......good memories...

    thx 4 posting it

  • i really love this song i used to dance to this song its cool

  • a lot of the music from this era was promiscuously overt..

  • yea but for the most part they did it in undertones and definitely not as graphically as music is today. I'd rather listen to the music back then any day over this crap on the radio now.

  • @Denali327 I know some of the stuff on the radio just piss me off sometimes i dnt even listen to the hip hop radio station at all just come on youtube to actually listen to some good ass music

  • @SensualAddiction noooooooooo shit aint dat the TRUTH!!!!!

  • Cant beat the Classics!!!

  • U ALREADY KNO.......

  • ...right.....right....

  • KLASSIC

  • shit this song reminds me of being like 7 years old!!!!!

  • COOOOOOL

  • This is a good song I thought the song was on SOnic 2 on sega genesis apparently this is an exciting song experiences 2 sides of feelings and life and the song is entertaining

  • Reminds me of my roller rink days as a shorty! Classic.

  • the sample is from frankie beverly and maze joy and pain (vocal sample)

  • Frankie Beverly sued him over the sample and won.

  • this is my shit right here. i love the 90's. the good times.

  • Jamie Dukes sings the chorus? Nice!

  • wooh, you fraking rock dimviesel your deffinatley righttt. :)

    i fucking love this songgggg!

  • fuck each n every one a yall, i STILL bump this shit like its new! at car shows, in traffic, in front of the club on friday night, everywhere. the more new trash comes out the more i go retro wit da real shit. WORD!

  • At some point, I hope you realize that the leisure suit and comb over, oops, you're stuck in the 80's- please remember that statiatory still has 18 as the magic number- By the way, do you have the Ron Jeremy stache? And how do you face the parents when you are the same age as they are? Damn, you are creepy.... One more thing.. Is your address registered for anything, like Meghan's Law ?

  • @dimviesel i feel the same exact same way you do fam!

  • @dimviesel

word up sun, I do the same shit. gotta keep the oldschool alive, I stay bumpin' 60's - 90's music friday nights at different spots. Niggas askin' me if I got that new jeezy mixtape. . . . yea I got that & it's cool, but there's no substance, no depth. the problem with todays mainstream music is how unimaginative it is.

  • so catchyy
