Wow why the fuck does everyone think it's robotics? You can obviously tell the top guy has his legs tucked into his chest and the bottom guy is just lying in the box with his legs sticking out. The second pair of legs that get put on the trolley are hollow so when the guy gets wheeled off he just slips his legs into them and sits twisted so it looks like he's in two halves.

He is lying so that it looks like he is in half aswell, but in fact he is not. He is lying on his side with his entire body, but the doctor-coat he is wearing is hanging to the side so that it looks like he is in half.

This is how they did it:

There are two black men, one has a a rare spinal disorder called sacral agenesis which stopped his spine from developing normally (so that he has a "half body", another person with this disorder for proof check /watch?v=_AahYSdE8Vg)

The other one is just a normal man.

There is also 2 robot legs.

As u can see in the beginning the person who is "cut in half" has strange-moving legs. The legs are robotlegs and the upper body is the man with sacral agenesis.

Here's what happens: 0:32 - 'special' assistant, a man without a lower body, is shown to trick the audience.

At 3:30, the legs (man inside cart) run off-stage. Watch closely - At 3:34, the fake legs stick out just as the real legs disappear.

At 3:53, the fake legs and the special assistant are carefully arranged, so that they can be replaced by a full double when they are wheeled off-stage. When they come back, the double has arranged his coat to make it appear that he is in two parts.

There are 3 people as the assistants! Theres one person inside the operating table as the legs and one person bundled up as the top half. As they go backstage, then the real whole bodied person comes out with the lower body being hidden. Then he just repositioned himself back into place.

Quite simple trick, all you need to do is find a guy with just half body (like Kenny Easterday) the rest is simple. First the legs belongs to guy who is bend over with body covered with the white cloth over the table. He then run away. They bring back fake legs. They take him away from the stage and bring another guy similar look but therefore they have face mask so you wont recognize that its someone else. He is just bend to looks like his legs are behind him. Thats it, but still impresive!

Hmm, one thing I did notice, when Kevin pushes the top half and the legs off the stage, and they come back on, the man's torso seems quite a bit larger. Also, when the man is being "stapled" back together, Kevin stands in front of him. I think it's possible that when the person got wheeled back onto the stage, it was a different person who's legs were tucked into the shirt, and as Kevin moved in front of him, slid his legs down into the fake set of legs

Amputee then falls forward and all the wow he is cut in half takes place.

The contortionist walks off and kevin gets fake legs given to him.. (error) which also look way too light.

They put the fake legs next to the amputee and arange him in the same position the contortionist will need to be in to hold himself in the at position.

They wheel the amputee off and contortionist on. Who then untwists himself partially hidden by kevin...

at the start the contortionist is bent forward and hidden in the trolly and the amputee is balanced on his lower-back. You can see the cut in the white jacket at the start.

at 3:34 you can see, just as the first pair of legs walks off the stage, somone held out a second pair of fake legs, which is a mistake since the magician is supposed to go back there and grab them. also when the nurse brings the torso and legs out at the end, the legs are twisted because this is a contortionist who is now pretending to be a seperated torso and legs..you can see the legs untwist when the magician puts the two peices back together.

An person with NO legs plays the Upper Torso.Another persons plays the Lower Torso His upper half is hidden in the trolley which moves offstage at 3:32.Then the Lower Torso is switched for fake legs at 3:36 and placed next to the Upper Torso.Nurse switches the fake legs AND the Upper Torso by pushing trolley offstage at 4:00.

Nurse brings out the new Upper Torso at 4.08 who is then joined! Note new Upper Torso is much BIGGER than the person who played the Upper Torso at start.
