You people don't know music or have an ear for it. She sings this song verbatim and the music is exact. Nor originality. The original song is the best and always will be just as it's used as background music for television and music. Christina should due her own music.
@bdpritchett , wow ... to say someone doesn't know music and then make a comment like that is just absurd. She does not sing it verbatim. She does way more ornamentation than Hathaway did, by far. In my opinion, it is excessive, but some people enjoy it, so more power to them.
Also, the music is NOT exact. My biggest pet peeve with this song is throwing the whole thing in 4/4. The intro should be 7/4 (or 4/4 + 3/4). She adds an extra beat, which takes away from the character.

If someone had to remake this song, it had to be this young talent. She has some of the most amazing pipes in the industry right now. Christina Aguilera is the real deal.
She's an amazing vocalist, but I don't think she was truly acknowledging the lyrics of the song. "I'm Christina Aguilera, and I can do runs." I love her runs in other songs, but in this case less is truly more.
