  • I don't know how it's humanly possible for the clavical bone to achieve the level of density enough to support this sort of weight.

  • @Muscle462Memory hahaah i know right? fuckin crazy amounts of weight.

  • And also when doing that clean and jerk, are you allowed to press the weight rather than doing the jerk in competitions? I find pressing easier, also jerk fucks my right knee up, I had 2 knee operations on my leg few years ago :|

  • @manjot1 Well I don't know if it is allowed, but there was once a lift called the "Clean and Press" - now removed from olympic games (So I believe you can not press the weight). The Press was, as I see it, just a standing press instead of the jerk. This will make you clean less, since you can lift far heavier in a jerk compared to a press. I would just seperate the two lifts and do sets of cleans first and then the sets standing press after. Probably after bench press, too.

  • I do boxing, I started doing Olympic lifting few weeks ago for explosive power, and I fucking love it! Enjoy it so much, my technique is improving and I'm lifting more and more very quickly..it's much better than doing that body building type weights.

  • @manjot1 That's for sure :)

  • the armenian @ 2:25 , his left leg is twice the size of his right one

  • how the hell does some one clean and press 730lbs....

  • @whoisayala it wasn't a 730lbs and it wasn't a press

  • @styykez so what was it

  • @whoisayala it was a clean and JERK of 187.5kg(413lb), for a total (which is the sum of the weight of the snatch and the clean and jerk) of 335kg(739lb).

  • @styykez oh hell ya there ya go

  • 1:20 Andrei Rybakou. The ultimate, purpose built, snatching machine!

  • 335 kg clean and jerk @1:53? Is that right?

  • @TheShankman 335kg total.

  • @TheShankman that was 190 for C&J, more than 3 times his weight... 60 kg

  • Women powerlifters......yeah we got those their called the average guy.

  • @derek8171 the average guy cannot snatch 60kg. go look at the women's numbers numbnuts

  • 00:45 thumbs up if u felt that.. OOUUCHHH!

  • 00:41 hitting your head isnt gonna make it better..dumbass

  • womens think they're very strong!!

  • 3 people have never loved the game...

  • at 1:57 it says the guy's third attempt is 335 kg??? isn't that like almost 740 pounds? i'm confused cause obviously it's not that much weight

  • @valgez you're fuckin' gay.

  • wow nice

  • Love that Pocket Hercules at 1:47

  • I never get tired of seeing these "little" guys lifting more than I can deadlift over their heads. Awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • whats the guys name on 1:06

  • @villegassam Matthias Steiner, +105, Germany

  • whats the guys name on 1:06

  • haha women suck at everything!

  • haha at 00.41 she walks into the wall

  • youde think it would be all those yolked up 400 lb bodybuilders doing this but these guys look pretty average anyone wana explain

  • @thiiiisguyy i explain, it's called strength training, it's nothing to do with weight gaining, nothing at all, my cousins got a friend who's skinny and weights 60 kg but benches 120 twice off the chest, perfect technique.

  • FUCK AT 00:46

  • Why aren't this guys huge?

  • @Connor391 Because Olympic lifting is more about form and agility than raw strength. MOst of their strength is in their core back and legs quite an amazing sport.

  • @Connor391 functional strength not beach boys

  • @aaaabbbaabb if swinging a bar over your head is more functional than getting laid by any girl you want then i'd rather stay dysfunctional all my life...

  • @TheExalTeDGuy You know, aside from the superheavyweights all the guys in Oly lifting are pretty jacked. I'm pretty sure Dmitry Klokov could get laid way easier than you.

  • @trikid0101 yeah because you know what i look like right? dumbass...

  • @TheExalTeDGuy Your probably nothing special or you wouldn't trash talk world champions on youtube. Take your Big Symmetrical Physique to the nightclubs where it belongs. Leave functional athletic strength to the oly lifters.

  • @trikid0101 Like i said dumbass you DONT know what i look like, yeah i lift a bit for looks but i train for football and football players are ten times the athletes than oly lifters, make ten times the money and are way more "functional" because if all these little oly lifters were as "special" as you think they are they would go in and dominate in a sport like football but that's simply not the case moving bars a round is overrated.

  • @TheExalTeDGuy Ask any sports scientist. Olympic lifters are way stronger way faster way more powerful and way more coordinated than football players. I'm sorry but they are too busy dominating Olympic lifting to bother with football. P.S. In the Mexico city olympics they found that Olympic Lifters had a better 40 time than the sprinters and a better vertical than the high jumpers. Also I should mention if you want to get faster/stronger for football you should be doing the olympic lifts.......

  • @trikid0101 I do alot of olympic lifts but the fact is they dedicate their life to moving a bar around thats different than playing full contact sports and if what they do is so elite then why dont they make millions.

p.s im done talking about this...goodbye have a nice life.

  • @TheExalTeDGuy Last comment. If you think they aren't elite and are Overrated, plz post a video of yourself snatching over 150kg(even some women can do that) If you do I will come to your house and give you $5000 cash. And they do make millions outside of North America, they are treated like royalty on the other side of the atlantic. Rezazadeh was offered around 10mil to lift for turkey one time(04 Olympics), his wedding was a national television event in Iran. P.S. I love Football.

  • @trikid0101 haha ok dude i dont care i have love for all athletes that work hard, if your goal is to be a great lifter i hope you accomplish that but SERIOUSLY im done talking about this.

  • @Connor391 Because they use momentum, leverage and as many muscle groups as possible to lift the most amount of weight they can which is the opposite of what you do when you want a big symmetrical physique.

  • best olympic weightlifting video i've ever seen!

  • dumbass at 00:41 hit her head on the corner

  • @Mrconcussiongiver Hows tht make her a dumbass?

  • @Mrconcussiongiver Hows tht make her a dumbass?

  • @Mrconcussiongiver that's russians for ya ;)

  • @Mrconcussiongiver, do you know how crushing it is to bomb out? She failed all three of her attempts, of which she was not allowed to move on to the clean & jerk. Bombing out sucks.

  • @Mrconcussiongiver no shit sherlock

  • The reason I like regular weight training better is because you actually get results... None of these people even look buff or cut

  • @skateking14

And this is why you will always be a weakling... no offense. Being buff or cut has little to do with strength.

  • @skateking14

It depends on how you utilize olympic weightlifting. I bet if you learn these lifts and use some of them in your new routine with regular weight training, you'll get faster results in strength and mass

  • @skateking14 have u not seen there legs

  • @skateking14 Depends what u want - want BUFF or CUT - not for you! Want immense functional strength that no BUFFY guy can ever dream about - YES for you!

  • @skateking14 All your BUFF and CUT guys will shit their pants trying doing any of these!!! HAHA! BUFF and CUT!!! You know, homosexuals are often buff and cut too

  • @valgez so are fat old people

  • @valgez People like Ivan Stoitsov?

  • @yamanmustafa You mean BUFF and CUT? He has great physiques, but bodybuilders won't admit that,

  • @valgez

Probably the most aesthetic athlete out there, everything is in proportion (ok maybe quads are a little bigger than the rest) but you can't really fault his definition and symmetry. That and he was one of the best olympic lifters in the world until he got caught.

  • @skateking14 thats becuz its for performance and not show... there legs undergo very short time in tension but that creates explosiveness thats really amazing... look at Pyrros Dimas.

  • never understood why power lifters dont like olympic style lifting and why olympic style lifters dont like power lifting... ive completed in both and love them equally. the amount of dedication and sacrifice is equal in both sports and in the states neither are very popular... bottom line, cant we all just get along lol.

  • the jerk part of the first girl was relly fast and exslovie

  • fucking terrible music

  • @wudthedamaja O lifters bench very very little if they bench at all since benching tightens up the shoulders

  • where is poland weiightlifting master??:)

  • whats the name of the last lifter?

  • @snabadi Shavir Sing an Indian-Canadian 62kg weightlifter

  • @18MeijiEra78 Thanks but I can't find any other videos of him. have you met this guy?

  • 0:42, lol

  • lol at the third one is she crying? what a baby its just lifting weights..........

  • @7tylerjb yea well that is what she had put hours and hours of work in for her whole life probably to just compete in the olympic games and she didnt make her goal and didnt win the gold...id be a little dissapointed too...this is the sport she chose to do and just because its "just lifting weights" to you doesnt mean its not to her

  • Lifting heavy weight like that above your head is extremely dangerous.

  • @7tylerjb it's only as dangerous as you make it out to be :)

  • @countrylifterdw My joke may have been out of line, but I disagree with your statement about which lifters are stronger. First of all clearly these are similar sports, but both train completely different. It's like comparing swimmers to marathon runners. Second, powerlifters are able to move weight well over a thousand lbs. Powerlifting is the name of the game, it's not just a word.

  • @livingstranger Powerlifting is just squat, bench, and deadlift. Did it occur to you olympic lifters have extremely strong lifts in all of these without ever even doing them? They are way stronger than powerlifters.

  • @7tylerjb They do squat and DL extensively. I'm pretty sure they bench since it's a very good upper body exercise whether you O lift or powerlift. They are completely different. Please do not generalize as it demeans both sports.

  • @countrylifterdw Do the weightlifting coaches rape little boys? The catholic church isn't doing to well lately...

  • What happens at the .48 second mark is why I would never do this.

  • Let me re state this Oly lifters are generally stronger than powerlifters

    1) the clean and snacth build amazing back and legs for the squat and deadlift

    2) if in the instance of powerlifters doing either oly lift they would have a very hard time doing so

    3) many oly lifters also do bench press as an accessory so obviously they would also have a chance in that lift as well so oly lifters are stronger than powerlifters

  • @countrylifterdw they are better athletes id say, but a powerlifter is 'stronger', in terms of being able to move a heavy load through a single range of motion.

  • @ukatam i see what ur saying . like brute force and slower strength. Lol after watching this and trashing powerlifting and basicly saying our kind of lifter is stronger . . . i wound up talkin' to a little powerlifter girl at my school. lol

  • @countrylifterdw lol, personally i like olympic lifting more...its way cooler, and transfers to real life situations better

  • @ukatam amen . the way i see it " powerflifters are the protestants of the strength world cause they broke off from the original and are just doing their own thing. plus they're heading by dozens of different organizations.but Weightlifting older of the two and is headed by some guy in Europe , thus, they're the catholics" lol when i heard this i bout died laughing cause not only is it true but i used to a protestant now im catholic and i used to be a powerlifter now im a weightlifter

  • 0:42 run into walls much hahha

  • the guy @ 3.10 has CRAZY speed! :D

  • Ouch, wish you hadn't snuck in the nasty dislocated arm incident - I'm eating lunch here!

  • 3:10, loved it haha

  • 0:42 did she just headbutt the wall and almost knock herself out??!

  • olympic lifters are alot stronger than powerlifters

  • @countrylifterdw It seems so, but don't forget that those video clipa are the best of the best olympic lifters in the world, and most powerlifting videos on youtube have good powerlifters, but not the elite powerlifters on their videos. I like to see olympic lifting more than powerlifting cause olympic lifting looks freaking fun!

  • @xxPokarxx honestly how can you really even make that comparison? Completely different

  • @brock8008 What I am saying is that the olympic lifters in this video are the best in the world (that's why they ended in the olympics in the first place), hence they look stronger than most powerlifter videos around youtube (cause there's a lot of personal record videos, not all of them are elite lifters)

  • @xxPokarxx sorry that was meant for countrylifterdw not you. I don't understand how he can make a comparison with oly lifters and powerlifters and claim one is stronger than the other. There is nothing to justify that, it'd opninion

  • Ozkan is cute.

  • good video Adrian, liked the last two lifts in particular

  • Thank you Shaun. I hope I have video from my competition in Port Alberni and some of my training lifts :).
