Very strange to see a 3D Tales intro. Very strange. The themes are still there and the character designs are similar, but seeing them in 3D is mindblowing.
TOH is stupid lol, mainly couse it has 2 version's, u got the FF rip off and then the Anime version, honestly I like the Tales series being half anime half 3D
Tales is Tales whether it's CG or in anime style. I love both versions and it's very interesting seeing how anime style characters are transformed into realistic looking ones.
I won't comment which one is better in my opinion, but I'll just say the anime and CG openings have their own good points. It's nice to see the anime transformed into virtual reality, no matter how bad it can be.
am i the only one who is reminded on a certain whale in another japanese fantasygame with eternal wings and a lost ocean?
however, on the one hand i can't wait for this game to come out, on the other it looks like tales of meets final fantasy and i don't know if that will be good...
What? Since when does Namco make 3-D scenes SquareEnix-style for their OPs? This feels like breaking a sacred unwritten tradition. I feel violated. I mean it is lovely but... Somehow I am in deep pain.
I much prefer the anime preview. Yup. I don't need my Tales of Destiny to turn into another form of Tekken. If they can bother making such pretty 3-D vids for the intro(which we don't rly need)might as well use that skill to put a little more effort in the 3D parts of the IN-GAME. Right, guys?
heck no, tales trademark is base on a nice RPG 2D and that is what lots of people loves about it. Making tales a 3D game in gameplay is a horrible suggestion imo.
That's not what I said, I like my nice 2D bit of the fighting game too, just like in ToD2 I meant, the LITTLE TINY BIT of the game on the 3D map absolutely needs improving.
if you are refering to tales of hearts i think its perfect as it is , but there are lots of others tales in 3d that are as equally good , maybe you wrote wrong the comentary, or i didnt understand.
CG? No, thanks. After watching this, I suddenly felt in love with all characters in anime version xD .

Really, people? Just because Tales tried CG doesn't meant they're ripping off the FF series. As if FF is the only game franchise that's in CG

I like it.
Tales has a ways to go before they can fully utilize CG into its games, but if that's their plan, they're off to a good start.
Can't wait for Tales of Hearts. :)
