This is a great cover. I play mute math's song almost everyday since the reset ep so I know quality when I see it. The only thing is that on the verse, when you hit the snare you are also supposed to release the hi-hat with and smash it as the same time with the snare. It makes the 16th notes on the hi-hat seems awkward at first but it feels awesome because you get that true feeling of a "snap".

the more parrallel your stick is to the head on contact the better sound you'll get. (and no dents)

Watch JoJo Mayer's Secret Weapons dvd, he breaks down a great deal of the technique issues many drummers have. Have that much tilt not only limits your ability for "planned" rimshots, but looking at the sheer physics of how the stick strikes the head, you're essentially choking the kinetic energy in your striking. Which in veritably causes you to exert more effort to not only control the rebound, but the attach as well.

nice job bro. on a side note you shouldn't use the snare tilted that way because it can damage your wrist and break your sticks way faster. lay it a little bit more flat and it will sound better and you'd be able to use more versatile rhythms with the snare ring like Darren.
