  • This song is awesome....Love it!!!

  • i feel the same way..growing up to this music IN THE 70S was GREAT...

  • The reason Andy took drugs was so he could handle his relationship with Victoria Principal, his father said Andy told him she was very hard work, but he loved her, it was while he was with her he took drugs, because of the pressure she put him under, she was all me, me, me, poor guy didn't stand a chance, and when she got him at his lowest, she dumped him, that's when he took to alcohol as well, he loved her so much, he was such a wreck when she left him, he never got over her..................

  • @lindaog29 WoW! Thanks For the Info.

  • @lindaog29 lol. Yeah, it was all Victoria's fault. waa. I bet you're one of those big boned girls.

  • This song is BRILLIANT. One of my all time favourites.

And I am so sorry for Andy.

So hard to follow in his brothers' footsteps.

  • At least the pretty boys in those days could sing, and actually have decent melodies to sing.

  • Andy and Victoria Principal were a great looking couple. It's too bad that he had a serious drug problem. I'm sure it was very difficult to follow in his brothers' footsteps.

  • I was young in the 70's...but some of the fondest and only moments I recall included my Mom playin some great tunes on her state of the art stereo....and she loves the Bee Gees....so do I....great unique voices...great lyrics...great tunes. This music lives on through those of us who aren't too embarrassed to indulge. I do it everyday at work.

  • Great music from the 70's, my teen years, loved the BeeGees and Andy!!

  • I always stop and listen when I hear this song. it is timeless.

  • UBZUKI is so right !!!!!!!!! this time in music was the greatest ever. These groups we awesome unlike the garbage out today. I am 47 and love most kinds of music but these groups were in a class by themselves !!!!!!! I am also very lucky to have grown up during that time in music. I also love the Studio 54 disco days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Andy had the looks, the talent, and a beautiful. I was devistated when he died. He will never be forgotten! Luv you Andy!

  • I just really love you. You live in my heart forever.

  • I remember being madly in love with Andy Gibb. It broke my heart that he died the way he did. He deserved better.

  • i simply love Andy... he is a very talent singer that i really salute despite to his bad habit....

  • Sad about Andy, unbelievable...sometimes I wonder if the world cares about anything. A 30 year old man dead. Love you, Andy. Lori L. Luther

  • DAMn, tell me he had an illegitimate child sometime before he died. DOn't Waste those beautiful GENES!!!!

  • @catgirl6717 He had a daughter Peta Jay Reeder-Gibb from his marriage, who now has a son, so if he were still with us he would be a grandfather.

  • @kikatx08 Nice...he wasn't a great father, but I think he'd be a great grandfather! :)

  • @kikatx08 Beautiful, Perfect!!! I had no idea!! (and he was married?) way cool.

  • beautiful song, thanks for share it

  • This song reminds me of when I just moved into our first house in Golders Green in 1978. I played it continuously while my children Rosanne, Maurice and Melanie were playing in the garden. When Melanie got married, she made sure this (her mum's) song was on her wedding video, I am 62 now and still love this song so much - what lovely days those were

  • @ikyandraye7 GREAT STORY !!

  • Andy was a young handsome. I love him.

  • hey UBZUKI i agree with your thoughts my friend---those were the golden days indeed--the 70s

  • Szép évek voltak!! Köszi annak, aki feltöltötte.

  • Many people wont admit to liking this because its part of the 'The Bee Gees' family. What a great feel good tune....try playing it and not singing along to it......

  • @jazzycat999 definitely a hard thing to do.

  • Still don't understand how one can NOT LIKE this god sent melody

  • what a great song i to remember in 1977 i lived in Omaha and my sisters had I had a great summer of fun with each other and our friends, time flies so quickly I miss these songssss!

  • Andy hit #5 in Billboard, 9-23-78. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! RIP, Andy.

  • These were happy years ! :-)

  • Let your 'BRO" walk his way>

Loved the whole vinyln - love the CD 2day.

    I watched him . . .

  • it's very difficult to let go of a time when music was this good. Always nostalgic about those warm days in the 70's when you could hear quality from EARTH WIND & FIRE, THE BEEGEES, CHICAGO, TODD RUNDGREN, HALL & OATES, FLEETWOOD MAC... look i know them days are DONE, But my childhood was all the MORE golden by having such great music around...peace.

  • @UBZUKI I feel the same way your words were perfect...i could not have said it better !! almost brought tears to my eyes !! i wish we could go back for maybe 7 months to these days and bbq, roller skate etc

  • @7thvenom I Know just how you feel. I'm still a slave to vinyl, i buy on line and rummage through the last remaining record stores in and around London for good music. I may be getting older , but my memories of that time will remain treasured.

  • @UBZUKI can't forget SUPERTRAMP, THE FOUR SEASONS, SQUEEZE, ABBA, STEELY DAN, STEVE MILLER, ELTON JOHN, PAUL SIMON, EAST RIVER BAND, CARLY SIMON,KATE BUSH,FOREIGNER,CHI LITES, THE MOMENTS, BARRY WHITE,YVONNE ELLIMAN, THE EAGLES, BOB MARLEY, STEVEN BISHOP...you get the picture....

  • @UBZUKI Amen Brother!

  • one day this bubble of "cell phones, texting, instant electronic news, portable electronics & etc." will burst. And then, we all be wondering why we spent the last 20-30 years of our precious lives with our phones INSTEAD of our FAMILIES.

  • Andy Gibb- my first celebrity crush :)

  • his ad libs on this song are just heavenly... so much SOUL in his voice for a british baby brother.

  • This song makes me feel good, what a heavenly sent voice.

  • Love is everlasting. I keep coming back to this song. the message.

  • reminds me of a better simpler time when this was a cute little love song, charming!!!!

  • What a talent Andy Gibb was. I adored this song. I loved his voice and he made great songs. He passed far too soon. Some just burn out too early. Thank you so much for this excellent post.

  • i ilke most on the chorus as the beat and rythm keep on repeating again and again,,,its reminds me back since i was young and listen it together with my family and frenz,,,

  • Truly a great singer !

  • i loved this man he was hot

  • Andy Gibb was my very first concert in 1979 ;^)

  • I never knew his heart was enlarged I just thought he had a heart virus called myocarditis.....??

  • your beautiful songs will live on/ fantastic

  • great song by Andy --Huge radio play!! Takes us all back to that time!! Left us way too early -- Looked like [and sounded like] his oldest brother Barry //Thanks for the video

  • I totally remember this song...it was either 1977 or 1978. I was in 6th grade. My older sister who was in high school had all the Bee Gees albums and all of Andy Gibb's too....When she gone, I used to sneak into her room and play all her albums and 8-tracks of the Bee Gees and Andy Gibb! Bee Gees ruled the 70's! Bee Gees are a unique band...all 4 brothers have have beautiful voices with unique harmonies. Andy Gibb too!

  • @SubSlaveCD I love andy Gibb when he passed I felt like that was a dark day in pop music, an Im a black child

  • @SubSlaveCD

    Memories from better times.

  • @SubSlaveCD I heard it on radio free music 1970's and it came out in late 77 early 78. I do remember hearing this back then as a child. I loved the music then. I miss the era.

  • THis was the album I gave to my first girlfriend in 1977 for Christmas or somethin. I was thinking of keeping for myself, but then I just bought one too hehehhe. Really love that era

  • Gotta love this Aussie man!!!!!!!!!!!!!Miss you.

  • yet another life cut too short

  • I thought he committed suicide. He died of an enlarged heart. So sad!

  • @PanayotiProductions

It is sad and it's true he didnt commit suicide but his substance abuse problems eventually helped to take him down quicker . Fame can be dangerous if not balanced with other things. Andy is loved and missed. RIP Andy Gibb

  • 2 didn't find everlasting love...

  • Very Special Song!

  • wow good song

  • Memories...Out of USMC boot camp a year, working in the chow hall at MCAS Yuma, Arizona, while this played over the sound system... :-)

  • 2 people have zero clue as to what good music sounds like

  • Nice! Brings back the best of times.

  • such a pleasure on the ears ....

  • RIP Andy

  • i second that amen! God bless!

  • I lived for those BeeGees (BARRY), I took disco dance (HUSTLE) at the YMCA, my 14th bday I got tix to go to my first concert, Supertrammp & BGs @ Dodger's Stadium. Music evokes a lifetime of memories for me. I shake my head when somebody makes fun of disco-era culture or the big superstars that made the 70s & 80s such a time to remember and one that is constantly being referenced musically. I pity those who came along much later and missed being a part of it.2know it=2luv it.

  • @SCIFgirl Heh! All the people in my jr high class and kids from all over the city -took "disco dancing lessons" (yes, really, at the Stroum Community Center - North in Seattle). What a hoot.

  • wicked tune big up andy

  • late 70s come flooding back.shame he didnt follow his brothers footseps

  • I THINK ITS AMAZING HOW MANY PEOPLE STILL ENJOY THIS MUSIC.IT HAS HEART AND PRETTY GOOD AND CLEAN MESSAGES,JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU CAN HAVE ALL THE GOOD MUSIC WITHOUT THE JUNK.THIS MUSIC WILL NEVER CEASE,THERE WILL ALWAYS BE THE ONES LIKE US WHO KNOW GOOD MUSIC WHEN WE HEAR IT.THE 70'S I MISS THAT SIMPLER TIME.

  • @NAVYSEABEENAVYSEAL I cannot agree more...I was going into high school in '79 and disco was the "bomb"...I like to think I am a music fan for many genres, and many eras...but the garbage that the 'hip-hop/gangster rap' crowd is putting out right now will NEVER make a fan out of me.I believe.alot of.the stuff they do now would not likely "hit" on it's 100% own; 'borrowing' the music from OUR 70s & 80s hits is how they succeed...MUST be something great to those old tunes after all! DISCO LIVES

  • @SCIFgirl hahaha you got that right you know what RAP stands for..... Yeah this is going to get me some hate mail for sure but I am going to say it anyway. Retards Attempting Poetry ........hahahahha

  • A great loss of talent !!!

  • I'm a music hipster, and you know what...This is a BRILLIANT pop song...I never get tired of hearing, 5 stars!

  • so easy to like! 1970's, nothing like it.

  • Top signs that you DONT have an EVERLASTING LOVE

1 You sign yourself "Victorblocks cock "

2 You look at your girlfriend and think ,"what have I done?"

3 Your girlfriend looks at you and thinks ," he MUST have money..."

4 When you walk down the street together, dogs howl in the distance

5 When her father looks at you, you know hes picturing you NAKED

6 For valentines day ,the guy dedicates "50 ways to LEAVE your lover" to you on the radio

  • nothing like the past back then we had music one of the best music ever is this one thank you !!!!!!!

  • There's something special about this song that never fails to make me happier and dancing around the house, nice feeling

  • Fantastic, still... love this.

  • Andy Gibb was great. All of The Bee Gees were. He was heart broken when Victoria Principal broke up with him. But then again who wouldn't be. Rest in Peace Andy,

you were a great musician. All of The Bee Gees were.

  • This song is pop perfection, It's not fair that Barry writes songs the way most of us breath.

  • Thank you for all your greatest comments... love you all ^^

  • @bluecats2019 Thanks for posting, bluecats2019! :)

  • I love his music, what a great musician! Miss him!

  • Heard this on the radio earlier tonight, and I really liked it. I've heard this off and on, and wasn't sure who did it. What a pretty song. One I'd like played at my wedding if it were to ever happen.

  • I adore this song...play it ALL the time...it will still sound great 100 years from now. RIP Andy..you were the best!

  • I love this song. It's sad that he passed away so young. It's to sad that he chose Cocaine to keep him going and died from it. Sometimes we forget how hard it for famous people to deal with the limelight.

  • I love this song. It's sad that he passed away so young. It's to sad that he chose Cocaine to keep him going and died from it.

  • Recuerdo este tema, inolvidable voz la de Andy Gibb (hermano menor del famoso trío Bee Gees) Un amor eterno....

  • Could not have said it any better. Beautiful

  • @victorsblock stop being so base and grow up,. Stop speaking dirty of Andy Gibb and let the poor man rest in peace!!! Man!! some people! Andy was classy. He chose Victoria Principal who was also classy. Cold, but classy. Get over it!

  • @nealadams70: Are you serious about Victoria Principal being "just a working actress" when she dated Andy Gibb?? Were you even alive then? If so, then you'd realize that she was not only a "working actress", but a principal star of the #1 most popular TV show of the time, "Dallas," in which she played a key character part. By the time they dated, his star had faded..."Desire" was his last top-ten pop hit, and that was in early-'80. Her success went well into the decade! You are misguided!

  • My favorite song by the 4th Bee Gee, :) RIP Andy!!

  • I loved it!!!!

  • Its all about the Gibbs brothers. Such a soothing tune. They really have that "Midas Touch " when it comes to music. Their songs will always be part of me.

  • lots of warm fuzzy memories with this one.

  • Victoria Principal KILLED Andy Gibb

  • @nealadams70 No she didn't, that is easy to say and I am pissed with her still for dumping him and she was a cold fish but it was the years of cocaine abuse that contibuted to his untimely and sad death. He died of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart. However, it is the ''person'' who introduced Andy to that deadly stuff that KILLED him!!!!

  • @SweetSesatia let me tell you about addiction and addicts, SS...those people may attempt to clean their acts up, - with support , many do...but under stress many relapse and often INCREASE their intake of addictive substamces..the relationship between these two was never perfect, and having ACTUALLY been LIVING at the time , I recall that the breakup affected Mr Gibb more so than Miss Principal; Besides ,Miss Principal most likely INTRODUCED Mr Gibb to cocaine (it was all around hollywood)

  • @nealadams70 Well, I can see what you mean , anyways I wasn't trying to fight with you if that is what you thought but I have seen footage of an interview with miss Principal shortly after Andy's death. She really looked genuinely sad. I do know she seemed very cold beforehand, even on the Merv Griffin show with Andy there was something fake about her. If the case is that she did introduce him to cocaine then she is one rotten cow. Being only 26, I know I wasnt around to see it!

  • @SweetSesatia check out a clip from ET (1989)in which Gibbs parents are interviewed..The father asked his son why he was taking drugs - he told his dad this was the only way he could" handle her" (it also mentions that his drug use started WHEN he met Principal )Ms Victoria Principal was older than Andy- younger men can t handle relationships with older women - they are open to manipulation ( he was a SUPERSTAR at 18 she , just a working actress )- I saw the aftermath..he was screwed up

  • @nealadams70

Victoria Principal did NOT kill him. When I was 19 and moved into university dormitory the roomates were doing coke the day I moved in. They offered to me to do lines. They had the coke with razor blades and mirror. I did not do that shit and the roomates had respect for me. Gibb was weak and responsible for his own death. You pussy need to stop blame to other people.

  • @victorsblock So you were strong..you were not famous, under pressure or in love...so it was easy to resist...You probably only seen pussy in movies , so you dont know what its like to have someone you love screw you over..he had the most Famous BROTHERS in the WORLD, and he had to deal with that..what did you have to deal with at his age? TRIGONOMETRY?!?

  • @nealadams70:

you seem to knows all about me. He had to deal with his brothers being famous and having girls line up to sucks his cock?????

you make sense like a retarded.

I have seen your pussy.....or is that your ass?

Bend over and I'll put my big hairy hard one in you.You will cry like a piglet.

I think you are a pussy.

    Do You gives good head?

  • @victorsblock and the others,

Andy was like a gambler who can't accept his problem, you know addiction is

a most of the time just a disease and you have to take care care of the disease, accept you have it and get traetment, some stop cold turkey and others need help.

Personnaly I think Andy went for Victoria in search of the mother he never had since

Barry stole him to his mother at a young age. Hollywood took care of the rest....

  • @delmoniaco I thik you have basically said everything I feel about this lovely man Andy. He always seemed to go for older woman and seemed very dependent in adulthood. He had a disease, an addiction. It is just so sad what happened to him drugs destroyed one of the most beautiful singers/songwriters ever. However, his mother Barbara and Dad Hugh loved him immensely. I blame Hollywood myself for his demise.

  • @SweetSesatia You know my dear he still lives in us, I'm 42 and have the same

hair as Andy and divorce and god gave me a beautifull exterior to go with it and believe me a Andy personality too, ( no dope and alcool ) and young girls really hit on me still,

altough I'm too old for them I appreciate they like guys like that.

It's a way of living and if your young at hart it brings nice feelings of happiness

    that shines around.

  • @victorsblock yawnn....

  • @nealadams70 yawnn....

  • @nealadams70 Very unfair comment, and I am polite

  • Andy looked so beautiful like an angel. Far better looking than the other brothers, even Barry, although the Gibbs were/are ALL immensely talented.

  • I wanted so much to hate the sappy ear-candy of the Bee Gees and Andy Gibb, but there is on denying this stuff is damn good. 30+ years later I'm more impressed than ever. Quality song writing and musicianship is timeless.

  • @xylowave Amen. It doesn't hold up to time if it isn't good, and the Gibb Brothers wrote GREAT music. All four of them.

  • Question: What is Hip Hop?

Answer: Four words and two beats.

  • @1Witchitait ...and one chord

  • Thank you so much for uploading. The sound quality is EXCELLENT!!! :-)
