@jamminjayzee Hey there! I see that you've read Dr. Simeons' book where he says not to mix vegetables. Let me ask you a question (even though I already know the answer), what happens when you mix vegetables in your recipes while on Phase 2?
I just realized that one thing I did with this recipe (but that wasn't shown in the video) is after I added all of my seasonings at the end, I deglazed my pan with a little bit of water to help incorporate the flavor with the ingredients.
If I had thought of it, I should have used chicken broth instead. Keep these kind of techniques in mind when sautéing without oil.
Thanks for your comment! You're right, the "Approved" ingredient list from Dr. Simeons book is very limited, and if you were to follow his exact instructions you would be eating plain boiled chicken breast and a few leaves of spinach! :)
Without a doubt, Dr. Simeons wrote to not mix vegetables and had a very short list of approved foods. I use the principles for cooking described by Dr. Simeons but expanded slightly.

It's in my experience, and that of many others, that you can get away with mixing a few ingredients and still get desirable results while on Phase 2 of the hCG Diet. In fact, if you visit my website you can watch me lose 10 pounds in 1 week while using recipes where I mix several ingredients.
