You know, I would've thought Chuck would've been a little more devistated about Peter's murder. After all, Peter was his brother.

@dubs19842009 In my opinion, Peter probably wasn't too happy having such a crazy brother and probably shunned him, causing Chuck to go deeper into his shell and talking to Bob even more. No doubt Bob eventually drove him to dislike his brother just as much. There's deep emotional scaring in this show that's never touched upon.

@adamstakeonlife Chester but he didn't get in trouble for it because he was pleaded insanity because he had lapses of memory loss and had no control over himself at certain points- killing Peter being one of them. Then he forgot who he was completely and ran away, he came back later once he remembered.

@GoldenGal42 I think Bob was the real killer of Peter, and Chester only thought he killed him, due to his memory loss. (The original plot was for it indeed to be Bob, but in they changed it b/c the producers didn't want to lose him. A future revelation might sprung up about if, Soap had lasted longer) No one would suspect the puppet.

@dubs19842009 I suspect the puppet. Bob is the most suspicious one of the lot. Poor Chuck would have had to spend the rest of the show without him. I think if they made him the murderer, the writers would have had to go down the psychological route and after that making it light-hearted would have been really difficult. I'm happy they made it this way -- it's good to have a character who can walk in and you know they're just some good old fun.

@GoldenGal42 I bet if Soap had lasted the extra year, there would've been a scene near the end of the series, where Chuck and Bob would've talked about it in private, and it would've been revealed that Bob had been the real killer the whole time.

No, Bob didn't die in 1984. It was his evil twin sister Ophelia Campbell that died after several failed attemps at a gender change operation.
