It was actually Mike Fishers rib cage just below his armpit that hit Gionta's head first. The follow through push off with his arm made it look worse than what it was. Gionta was unscathed don't worry guys.

I don't know how anyone can say thats a charge...he didn't even stride the holy time he was going to hit him. Absolute clean hit in the NHL but the rules in international play is no head contact at all and thats where the pentaly comes from..Thats why no one on gionta team freaked out because thats how NHL players are trained to hit.

first off he was obviously skating towards him. like he should do, then coasted in at a good speed and took gionta out of the play. CLEARLY only left his feet because gionta fell right away. If you're going that fast and hit soomeone that hard on the angle he went in, your not going to stop. It was a nice play. you can see only 1 of his feet were in the air when he made a hit, wich is not against the rules and only when gionta is in the air, and fisher falls, his secnd foot lifts off the ground
