In case this isn't a troll, you can kill finder from the command line (something like 'killall Finder')

I don't remember what you do for the watchdog, I think it involves renaming the Finder (backrow) binary temporarily. I have no idea about running the full Finder.

All you have to do is just get HDMI or DVI cables from your Computer to your Flatscreen...

If your Graphics card supports HDMI then by all means use the HDMI (assuming your flatpanel runs HD)

I didn't like the approach of your solution. I don't know how Apple TV works, but I'm sure there must be a hack to use the USB port so you can use a keyboard and a mouse connected directly to the Apple device. If it works, it would be REAAAALLLY SWEEET to play WoW on the couch on a big screen TV with wireless keyboard and mouse.

Indeed I believe there is such a hack, but WoW would be largely unusable due to the small amount of (soldered-on, non-upgradable) RAM in the device. You'd be much better off with a Mac Mini or similar.

I'm a PC person and don't know shit about MACs, but this seems pretty interesting. The effort could be better spent with a video card that has two DVI outs (most good ones do). With that you could hook up pretty much any TV, excluding coaxial, composite or component.

i think this is a fake, he ibook goes into sleep mode when he closes it, you can see the white light flashing, but still the apple TV shows a moving image of WoW, ... but if you go to sleep mode the system goes down ?!

The iBook is not running WoW, the appleTV is.

The problem here is you can't just plug in a keyboard/mouse into the AppleTV and use it, the only way to control the AppleTV is through VNC. So the iBook is just controlling the AppleTV, it's not actually running it. The appleTV is running WoW, and thus when the iBook goes to sleep, WoW is still running. (Closes the iBook to put it in sleep mode so people can see that the AppleTV is running WoW, not the iBook)
