Yngwie Malmsteen - how to make YJM sound

The key to YJM sound is the HS3 DiMarzio (in my personal experience), and to have a strat model, and a Marshall, valve preferable ... I have a Valvestate 8080 and I get a close sound, not as deliciously crystal as his albums, but close :) Cheers ! Congrats for the EQ !

@aspolti Hi! Yes - it is possible the same way I did with Nuendo 4. Just use the same guitar, a high-gain tube preamp with flat EQ settings. Plug it into your sound card. Actually it doesn't matter what DAW you use. Just set the Reverb and Delay settings as shown. And set the DAW EQ as shown. The final result will impress you ;)

For years I set up a stage system 2 Randall stacks and a Musicman HD210 two 10's and also going through a Marshall bottom. Used A/B's to try to mimic the E.Johnson sound. I also used a Korg M1, for that I had to use a seperate sound system. I used Bose 802's 1k amp. After a while of noticing it was taking me longer than the tech's to set up the PA, I gave it up. I have a degree in classical guitar from Stetson. It is easier to walk in with just a guitar in case, ROCK ON.

so now do you know the jcm 2000 duel lead which one should i use or buy ?

@chhrriissss I don't think this is expensive way I do the sound :) I only use Hughes&Kettner Metal Master preamp with flat settings. This preamp goes to my soundcard and then I added some EQ and Verb/Delay from the PC. That's it and that's all. Thanks for watching and for your comment!

Also very important is that I DO NOT USE IRs (impulse responses) of any kind. Just pure direct recording with flat setting on the preamp and EQ from the PC as shown.

Forgot to mention - this is direct recording - no amps, no speakers.

Only a preamp that goes to my Tascam soundcard and Nuendo.
