your talent on photoshop = cant describe how good you are

if i could you would get all the stars on youtube.

  • O_O wow! thanks a lot for the compliment.

glad to know you like it so much^^

  • really cool job mate, but the clouds from above didn't look so good though-

  • thanks a lot for the compliment and your critics^^

there's a lot of things that could use improvement in that pic ;)

  • Seeing that second picture got me thinking. if you were on that planet and those clouds surrounded it, could you imagine how friggen scared you would be? it would probably be dark for weeks, plus no stars and possibly some sort of weather effect like impossible winds or sheer cold or extreme heat. It would be insane. nice video btw dude.

  • *smile* I like your line of thought ;D

being wrapped up in a big fat cloud like that would freak me out, too^^

I appreciate the compliment! glad you like the clip.

  • how do you get the stars behind the planet? ive tried this but i cant seem to get it to work right. plz help?

  • hi there^^

the first thing you do is fill your background with black. then go to filter -> noise -> add noise, use a very low amount (2-4% or so), select gausian and check the monochrome box. then it CTRL+L to bring up the levels. you'll see a curve. move the white slider to the left, to the end of the curve, then move the black slider to the right, till the stars look the way you want them to. then all you have to do is make your modifications. the bigger stars are lens flares and brushes^^

  • omg! this is so awsome! i have this picure ass wallpaper. it so freaking AWSOME !=)

  • *smile* yay me! I appreciate the compliment ;D

glad you like it so much.

  • hey thanks for sharing this.

I found it very helpful learning the program by observing how others use it.

  • thanks for the compliment^^ glad you liked it.

  • and pls can you send me the picture you use? pls?

  • I went to your profile and sent you a link from there. as far as I know, links don't show up in the comment area of the video itself.

  • Tnx a lot! Just Buy sometime. Just for an half an hour then continue the next day. More power

  • tnx mate.

  • Can you Pls make a tutorial???

    PLS!!!?

  • I intend to make one. and I have intended to make one for quite a while, but I simply couldn't find the time up until now.

  • just edit your video. Put some subtitles that instruct people how to do it or Grab your mic and say step1, step2, step3 soo on and sooo far ^_^

  • nah. editing this video would take more time than making a new one^^

  • *grins* thanks a lot for the compliment! I'm glad you like it. hope you'll enjoy making one^^

  • wots up with the musicxD :P nice job man

  • thanks for the compliment^^

the music is from Yamato, the Wakaido Drummers of Japan (first song) and from the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon soundtrack (second song).

  • Very nice outcome. A tut would be amazing for this.

  • Thank you very much for your comment! I appreciate the compliment^^

I'll set to work on a new tutorial during my next vacation, I think.

  • could you make like a tutorial for this? i realy like it

  • to be honest, I've been thinking about doing one myself. but I can't seem to decide if I should make a step-by-step tutorial for beginners or a tutorial for advanced ps-users. the former would take quite a while to make. maybe I'll find some time to start around easter.^^

thanks for the comment. I'm glad you like it. =D

  • you just have to slow it down a bit and tell wat you are doeing.

  • I know. and that's the problem^^

the recording alone took 45 minutes. were I to comment on everything I did and explain what to do, the tutorial could stretch on for quite a bit longer than that.

I guess I'll have to make another graphic and try to keep things as simple as possible, while still achieving a piece of work that could be worth watching.

I'm still new to the video tutorial thingy. I still find it hard to find the right balance. ),=

  • ok, np.

How long have you been photoshopping? I just started a week ago or something and i can only make some basic space scenes, nothing so complicated as this one.

  • hmmm... I think I started a while ago, but I had many breaks in between where I simply didn't have the time to make graphics. all in all, I think I've been using ps for about two years.

  • I love it

  • thanks Ed!

  • realy bad it wasent a tutoril though:/ but great vid^^

  • *grins* yeah. sorry about that^^ perhaps I'll make a tutorial out of the basics some time. but I was very lazy the day before yesterday, so I didn't make a voice recording. I'm glad you like the video despite it not being a tutorial. =D

    thanks for the comment!

  • yeah yaeh, do a tutoril:D!! but what do you klick on to do a 3d of the ellips? i am a newbie on ps xD

  • well. if you have a texture (like the rock texture I used) you use the marquee tool (m) to create a circle. while your 'circle' with the texture is selected (has the dotted lines around it) you go to filter -> distort -> spherize and type in a percentage at which you'd like to spherize it. I did that twice. once at 100% and then again at 20%. I have a tutorial at dailymotion dot com which explains step by step how to create a sphere. you can find it by searching for "sudynlj". I hope it helps^^

  • OH thx, youd just saved my planet!

  • always welcome^^ glad I could be of service.
