@Amlin23 yes you can do everything as if it was on AT&T accept you only get edge instead of 3G, but on both my 4 and 4S edge isnt bad at all

@SerenaP711 You can get whatever plan you like, the iPhone has absolutely no network requirements at all with T-mobile since T-mobile doesn't offer the iPhone. You don't have to have data at all you can just have basic talk/text if you like or prepaid

@talkingsoda it does, but to receive MMS you have to jailbreak your 4S and install the T-mobile mms fix from the leimobile repo in cydia, all APN fields are still epc.tmobile.com

@TTrOybOChi It should just work, but go into your network setting and type epc.tmobile.com for each APN field and EDGE will work, but it shouldn't require it since it's a factory unlocked iPhone

@DJ1andDJ2 nope just enter settings manually and it will work exactly like mine does (FaceTime, mms, personal hotspot for free:D etc)

@bmx045 ok I see why you thought my iphone was a 4S its because my carbon fiber bezel cover is for a 4S. tricked out accessories were out of iphone 4 bezel covers so they gave me a 4S carbon bezel cover and had it switched out a week later. but yeah this is an iphone 4 (if you notice no siri activation option in the activation process)

you do know that phone in the video is a 4s, correct? it has the antenna setup of an S, the iph 4 is distinctly different in the top antenna markings from the S.

@bmx045 um no every iphone 4 has that its called the proximity sensor, hold the black iphone 4 to the light you will see it has it too, the iphone 4S' only pysical difference is the the bezel is exactly the same as the VZW CDMA iphone 4 accept it has a sim slot and tray. other than that they look exactly the same

@6Italia0 ok, I'm not talking about the proximity sensor. The wifi antenna which is the upper portion of the aluminum border is different than the 4s. I have the 4 and the 4s for AT&T, and the wifi antenna is apporitioned differently, atleats in the US market. This is precisely why 4 cases do not fully fit the 4s correctly (vibrate switch low when using a 4 case on a 4s) it's because the antenna changed on the top, and moved, to fix the issue with "Death grip".Look at unboxing to see what i mean

@6Italia0 Looking at the vzw 4, it has the same upper wifi black separator above the vibrate botton as the att 4s. if you look at the att 4 and the att 4s, the black spacer is not right above the vibrate button on the 4.

@bmx045 Ok yes I know, this is an iPhone 4 in the video, I did not have a 4S when I made this video, I know the antenna is different, the carbon fiber bezel cover that I had on my iPhone 4 in this video was for a 4S, thats why it looks like a 4S, but its an iPhone 4, I just recently bought the 4S the beginning of january 2012, I did not have a 4S factory unlocked 2 months ago

@TheAppleEmployee idk maybe, I could go buy one now if I wanted but it seems kind of worthless to me now since the only other feature it offers me is fully working siri and no jailbreak option. I still have my original factory unlocked iphone 4, I just sold the motherboard in this one yesterday as a black iphone 4 for $400. But I think ill wait til the 4S is publicly JB since the iphone is absolutely worthless otherwise to me without it JB.

@TheAppleEmployee I may not even get the 4S anyway since I have the siri GUI ported to my iphone 4 and once the 4S public JB is released I can just copy the rest of the siri files from my friend's at&t 4S and port them to my iphone 4

There is NO reason to have hotspot on an iPhone that is running only E. You're going to share your E connection with others? Lol. It's pointless. I guess if using another SIM on a carrier with 3G makes sense but not on T-Mobile.

I agree its not the best but it works just fine if you just need to check something on your computer or something simple, but for regular internet surfing it sucks, but I can't agree that its pointless since its a free feature based off of your tmobile data plan that you have
