Wow ... never knew that ... I guess that's what happens when a person goes to college near a town called Blytheville (Arkansas), where it's pronounced with a long-i.

But I just pulled up a website about Va. place names, and while it indeed says it's WITH-ville (vull?), that the county name is either "WITH" or "WYTH" (long-i). Sorta like Talladega in Alabama -- Tall-uh-DAY-gah, or Tall-uh-DIG-ah? Both are acceptable!

At any rate, thanks for the correction.

thanks for making these vids. you guys did a wonderful job. oh how i remember living in the hills of west virginia as a child. going to winchester va from augusta wv meant going over 3 mountians like this (schaffenaker, cooper, and bear garden). via norhtwestern turnpike (route 50). i used to get awful car sick as a kid. mom used to keep smelling salts in her purse for just such an occasion. hard on brakes, hard on gas. but beautiful scenery.
