What does it mean to have your pole "on static"?

@HopelessReflections static means the pole is still, i spin myself round and down the pole. the pole is static up until 2:05 where i put it on "spin" mode, you can see i'm level on the pole but still spinning, but on static you can see that as i spin round i also slide down

Wow, Tara! I'm glad you found the dress. I remember that video very well--it was only up for a few hours and I was dying of curiosity! What does she have in mind? I have mixed feelings in general about dresses on pole, just because inverts are always a problem. But you did very well with it. Spinny mode was an inspiration with this particular dress, because of the flowing, colorful fabric. Nice job, Tara! And by the way, is there a good story behind how you found the dress?
