  • Un temazo! excelente!

  • SUPERRRR !!!!! ;-)

  • I first noticed this band when Jack Black wrote it on the blackboard. Now I fucking love it!

  • Camel had so many great cuts off this album alone. I was always amazed that they never amassed a bigger following. But such was the fate of StarCastle as well, along with many truly brilliant jazz/fusion groups (Wishful Thinking, Metro, etc. etc.). Meanwhile the world is Gaga (both literally and figuratively) over so much crap. Oh well ... maybe there's intelligent life on some other planet.

  • I gotta thank my dad here. He introduced me to Camel as a kid, but I was too young to understand much about the music. Then around 14-16 he showed me Camel, King Crimson, Marillion, Gentle Giant, and most recently when I was 16 he showed me Porcupine Tree. Ever since then, I threw out my Linking Park, POD, etc and bought myself some real music. Thanks dad, I love you <3

  • I LOVE CAMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

  • Thumbs up if you've never even heard of Opeth.

  • Absolutely wonderful. I've loved Camel since 1974.

  • I fell in total LOVE with this tune when I first heard it via Yahoo! Music in 1999/2000. Such an underrated band.

  • If you listen to Porcupine Tree you can hear echos of Camel's music peeking through.

    Camel,sadly another under-rated group.

  • @cmikex2 Yeah a little, but lots of King Crimson and Tull as well.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @audaceinfuga they are amazing...have been into these guys for many a year...a little more pop-ish might be starcastle....another band midish/late 70's....not as tech perfect...same karma ! lol ..stoned again

  • BETTER OF MY LIFE..

  • JETRO TULL :)♥♥

  • Comment removed

  • oh, maybe this is a good conversation starter: what is the best version of Camel's timeless "Never let go" available on Youtube? BTW if you hadn't guessed, I'm a big fan myself...

  • I never even heard of Opeth, is it like "METALLLLLLLLL!!!" ?

  • @Don4425 it is like METULSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • @Don4425 alot more, remove the stereotype and try the music.

  • @Don4425 Progressive Metal.

  • Toujours aussi subtil à l'écoute 30 ans après... J'aime ce concept d'écriture instrumentale très élaboré et vivant...

  • I had this roomate in the early 70s. He was into the weirdest music. Camel, vandergraff generator, oregon... I never did thank him!

    thank you! :)

  • sounds like music youd hear in a sonic game

  • Fantastic album. I played this all the time years ago.

  • Breathless was one of my first albums..still love it 30 years later!!

  • OMG i love this song so much! I have Camel's Mirage album. However, I think I'm going to purchase this album next! Either that or one of Gentle Giant's albums. Check Gentle Giant out as well. They're funky as hell.

  • Probably the best Camel song?

  • @svouras My fave Camel song is Unevensong, followed closely by anything off Mirage, but this is also good. This is the only song Breathless I like though.

  • One of my fave bands ever. Timeless music.

  • I love Camel!

  • I have the album on vinyl, too....and Moonmadness, Rain Dances, I Can See Your House from Here......Prized possesions!! Love this music!! Thanks for posting!!

  • This is my first time listening to Camel. I must say, the name of this band is absolutely stupid.

  • @StudioMasterS500 Prog bands in general either have really cool names or really dumb ones. No middle ground. Regardless of what they chose to call themselves Camel rocks.

  • @StudioMasterS500 Actually it's great, read a little about the Camel the animal.

  • me too and i wont sell mine lol

  • hmmmmm Echoes or Echoes which is better.

  • @thelilymoore Tough call man, I think I have to go with Echoes.

  • @ColonelFatso Me too !!!

  • Amazing. I've been a huge fan of Opeth for years, but I'm ashamed to say I've not gotten around to listening to Camel until lately. I can really hear how these guys had such a huge influence on Mikael Akerfeldt's song writing. I'll be buying some Camel albums now!

  • I want this to be played at my funeral.

  • I do agree, most of camel music are orgasmic, emotionally also

  • 3:27, the orgasm start! =D

  • Sadly Pete Bardens died a few years ago and we are fortunate that Andy Latimer is recovering well from a serious illness. I have 2 cd copies and a vinyl one (an original!) and will not be selling either. Camel were and still are brilliant. I saw them many times and was always stunned by their virtuosity. An Israeli called Talul is attempting to keep the music alive literally - check them out !

  • I like "Breathless" which cover is beautiful graph paper designed.I'm interested in, on this album, Camel attempted to complete every pieces, not album oriented. The combination of Latimer and Bardens reaches the ultimate point. So to go foward, Latimer had to say goodbye to Bardens. But I think Bardens is the only partner of Latimer.

  • Thumbs Up if you are listen to Camel because of Opeth

  • @progdeatherfer Thumbs up if you listened to Camel BEFORE Opeth :-)

  • @progfreak425 what's Opeth?

  • @progfreak425 I listened to Camel because my dad introduces me to prog rock, Then I know prog metal, and prog death metal and I presented these new kinds of prog to my father, and now he likes... Camel and Opeth are great bands...

  • @progfreak425 oooooo yeah!

  • @progfreak425 Been listening to Camel since the 1970's.......amazing musicians!!!

  • q tema tan bueno, no puedo dejar de escucharlo jaja

  • Sounds like video game music.

  • @willywaldo1 A lot of prog rock inspired video game music. This one here, at least to me, has Megaman X qualities to it.

  • @jdoublep84 indeed

  • @jdoublep84

Check out Snow Mountain, Wolf's theme from Virtua Fighter 5.

  • @willywaldo1 Quite a few video game artists were inspired by Camel.

  • @ProcolHarum1967 It's true, more videogames musics are like this, inspired by Camel's style.

  • @TheArtOfHands Yeah, all the music for those games is very progressive, using the same modes and similar voicing. I hear it for sure.

  • 14 Cold Play fans were here

  • what a quitar-gun!!!!!!

  • Thanx 4 sharing this and the lyrics!

    So TRUE and AMAZING!;o) <3<3<3

  • perhaps the best Camel's song! in my humble opinion.

  • @nalcow Have you listened to their songs "stationary traveller and lady fantasy"? i think you might change your mind..

    Best wishes

  • @SDsailor7 yes I am a big Camel fan, have listened all albums.

  • I'd like to thank Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth fame for introducing me to this band. This music is incredible.

  • @jburde I'm also here because of Mikael Åkerfeldt. Thanks Mikeal, I did not know that there was music like this out there

  • @seblar9315 every Camel album is GREAT. From 73 - 2002, they wont disappoint.

  • @jburde yea so grateful to Opeth for introducing me to this im also grateful to Katatonia for getting me into The Cure, id heard alot of there songs but it wasnt until really giving them a chance i appreciated them alot more, its great to for me as a young person in my mid 20s to hear the true influencers of the bands of my generation, i listen to the great stuff i like from katatonia and opeth and then i can also listen to Camel and The Cure and feel where the magic originated before i was born

  • @soyfrog You'r making me feel old , O wait I am old.

  • o my god

SUPER SONG :) I LOVE PROG ROCK :)

  • hi]

  • To me its more than a song. I am Dineh.

  • I got this album in Milan yesterday! inly 4,90euro...awesome

  • Epic track. For years I could recite in my mind every guitar, bass, keys, drum and voice note perfectly, including the stereo imaging and effects. Such was the power of this beautiful music. The composition, the performance, the tone and sound, the unique form... Every note is just perfect.

  • Echos is awesome! Camel is a band that fares well as time continues. Breathless more so. Great album and band. Latimer is such a great guitarist. As a HUGE Genesis fan I enjoyed mixing things up with Camel OFTEN. It was a nice changeup (along with Jethro Tull and Yes).

  • This is pretty cool

  • I don't like putting labels on types of music, or comparing bands to other bands. If the music is good, or even great, listen too it. Don't compare or judge. One thing that can be said about Camel, is that they made great music. A very underrated band during this era of music. I loved this era. The music was wonderful. I Liked all the bands that came out during this time.

  • CAMEL - DECCA - DERAM RULESSSSS!!!!!

  • One of the most beautiful songs written ever.

In spite of my favourit band is Genesis, I've been never tired of listen to this song. I got it on vinyl too... but disposed to negotiate its sale.

  • simplemente no me canso de escuchar esta banda por canciones como esta

  • @orlandomarquez00 ni yo.. es un temazo.

  • I heard that Camel was given frequent legal trouble from Camel Cigarettes back in the day because of the name and occasional album art camel that apparently infringed on the likeness of Joe Camel, whose likeness greatly resembles a common camel, and yet you never heard about camels suing Camel Cigarettes. Truly, camels are wiser than people. Poor Camel.

  • Cameli 13.80-Länsi pasila¨(90-luvun puperteeti)Suomalaisuuden juuria ne oli sittenkin. sitkeyttä kevään tuomaa ei juomaa ajatellessa huomaa...kehittyy hitaasti käyden raittius, toisalla kaiken hajotti

    k

  • @julleVonKuusela jep jep...

  • Cameli 13.80-Länsi pasila¨(90-luvun puperteeti)

  • good song!

  • the best camel songs are the ones about gandalf

  • ni modo.. voy a tener que echarme otra vez este temazo!

  • 14 can't ride camels

  • Camel was a great band back in the day. If you like this check out Spain's great band from the '70's : IMAN Califato Independiente

  • 14 dislikes by camels

  • Love this Camel track.

  • 13 people are crazy!!!

  • just recently bought this album on cd.i lost the vinyl a few years back....gutted.

Echo above the plains.
  • @nalcow así lo siento yo en los 80 y en estos años parasiempre, es la musica del bienestar....

  • I have this album on vinyl. No, I won't sell it.

  • @zkxv so have i and neither will i...........; )

  • @zkxv I've got all Camel albums on vinyl :-)

  • @zkxv Smart man. I now consider Camel no.1, Tey have stood the test of time better than

Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Rush and so on. For me Pink Floyd are no. 2 now, mainly for Wish you were here, an Dark side of the moon.

  • @zkxv me too.

  • It is not a simple tune.. it's a tune that inspire.

  • Love this song

  • never heard this before,wow! it's fantastic

  • I know why the albums called Breathless, it's caused I was so engrossed in the song I had to remember to Breath!

  • I'm pretty "high on the plains" right now.

  • Denna värld av spännande musik att upptäcka! Åh det är fantastiskt. Jag kan rekommendera The Web.

  • you cant touch gilmour bitch

  • i perfer this over floyd sounds more lively

  • Night of 10 billion and dream of 100 billion

  • I enjoy Pink Floyd, and I first heard them long before Camel. However, I can select about 20 Camel tracks I'd prefer to listen to over any Pink Floyd track. This is probably #1.

  • liston to this while playing super hang on. omg lol hehe

  • una delle mie preferite! in assoluto!

  • Anche per me una delle mie preferite. L'avrò ascoltata non ricordo più quante volte. Posso dire mi entusiasma sempre. Straordinarii Camel !!!!!

  • andy you are a LEGEND

  • Echoes vs Echoes

    PINK FLOYD

  • 12 people dislike this due to the lyrics being too controversial

  • Great track!! Really moving. At the time they were thinking of calling the band Caramel being that one of the founders of Caravan was with them.

  • @lockefan seek help, Pink Floyd is a great band, but they don't have the market cornered on talent or creativity. I can't stand when people can't appreciate music and musicians without bringing out their measuring tape.

  • breathless:D

  • i would like the video but it has the perfect amount of likes

  • I listen to alot of music, but i would put this amongst one of the best songs, probably ever, its superb...just...superb.

  • they smoke Camel =)

  • i love camel

  • I love this song! Does anyone know why they called themselves Camel!??

  • @irishsetterarchie According to a documentary I saw, their drummer Andy Ward came up with the name because Camels are cool or something like that but I think it has to do with the cigarettes.

  • @ProcolHarum1967 Thanks Procol! I forgot about that...cigarettes!

  • @ProcolHarum1967 i must say camel have been around since and even before 1970's in a sense but i can under them using there camel logo not as smoking advert but a muiscal icon in my own way. thankyou for your coment.

  • is this one of the tracks from the sonic video games? hahahahaha

  • @azurenscens

God damned since the first song note I think a the same thing that you !!

  • Mari lets hear Camel together...

  • Yea, long live progresive, this is one of those epics songs in progresive...

  • 10 people did not like this song. I am fine with this, and will not insult them over their choice in music.

    Was that so hard?

  • @eddythedemon Thank you. I hate all this "there must be 10 Justin Bieber fans" pish that seems to have overtaken the comments section.

  • Long live progressive rock!! I wish I could have lived in the seventys and been able to see bands like this live!! Brilliant

  • the best stuff just got better! One of my favorite bands of all time. 30 years later, they still sound fresh. I liked all the different infuences of progressive rock, jazz, folk, rock, classical crossover, etc mixed together in the same song or same album. That is what makes them interensting. The lyrics run from fun, to ethereal, philosophy , sarcasm, stories, love to mindless. They were so original. I was heartbroken when Peter Bardens died of cancer-he was one of the best keyboard guys.

  • I always get so touchy-feely when listening to Camel. (Not crying, my eyes are sweating).

  • temazo!!

  • Good to hear this one again......really good album from end to end.

  • sto disco è veramente vekkio.

  • @156nico

    embé?

  • i have only herd 4 Camel songs and i must say they are, so far, my favorite band

  • ELLA

  • Tried to buy this album but couldint find were to get it, very dissapointed :(

  • Fantastic !!!

  • This song makes me feel things i can explain, like visit other planet or something..

  • @markoctavio *cant

  • hey guys im in love with camel...plz check out my friends music 3df love machine part 1 youll love it.thanks thumbs up for camel and the poster

  • I want this album :)

  • The last hooray from the classic Camel line-up. This is not their best album (or even close) but it's a very good one!

  • @cheekymonkey1979 Which do you rate their best album?

  • @PeterRye58 That's a really tricky one... I think their run of albums from Mirage, through Snow Goose to Moonmadness represent their peak. My personal favorite is Moonmadness, but that's very possibly because it's the LP that introduced me to the band. I love them all! Which is your favorite?

  • @cheekymonkey1979 I really like their "Breathless" album, but Raindances just

has the edge; possibly it's their most varied album with the new bassist,

Richard Sinclair ( Ex Caravan) who is brilliant & sings pretty well! Harbour of Tears

is also a very good concept album based on an Irish theme. I have ALL their

albums and they are all consistently excellent!! My Top Group of all time!!!

  • @PeterRye58 Mine too! It just shows what an excellent band they are that 2 listeners can have such different favorites. I also really like their work with Richard Sinclair, and adore his work with Caravan and Hatfield.

  • as soon as this song started, i was like holy crap wow....and im only 35 secs in now.

  • Brilliant. Perfection made in heaven. Nothing better than this.

  • Can't compete with the one and only Floyd-song, but still great.. Wait a sec, going to change that to: fantastic

  • lol the first first time i heard this i thought to myself...is there a japanese RPG advert or something going on that i dont see? Japan should pay Camel for every RPG they make xD

  • Latimer is a good guitarist.

  • Otro de los acetatos que aún conservo...

  • Peu m'importe les esprits chagrins qui dénigrent cet album.Bien que différent de ses prédecesseurs il est tout aussi bon,la preuve avec ce titre.

  • Trop pur....!

  • One of the most underrated bands of the so called progressive rock era. They produced some wonderful music. Incredicle live as well. Thank-you for posting this. One of my favorite all time songs.

  • Great Music, I fell in love with it since the 1st time I heard it!

  • This brings back many happy memories. Saw them at the Colston Hall in Bristol during their Nude tour. I can't understand why they weren't more successful than they were. The musicianship is outstanding.

  • I went to my friend's college and in their rec room in a box of vinyl WAS THIS ALBUM. I'm a huge Camel fan, so I was flipping shits!! Took that baby home straightaway.

  • More prog to look into.. Gentle Giant, Yes, Pink Floyd, Genesis, King Crimson, Jethro Tull, The Tangent, Glass Hammer, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater (prog-rock/prog-metal), Opeth (progressive death metal), Transatlantic, The Flower Kings, Animals as Leaders, Liquid Tension Experiment, Van Der Graaf Generator, Cynic (progressive death metal/prog rock/jazz fusion), Amogh Symphony, (progressive death metal), Augury (progressive death metal), Gorod progressive death metal), Gong, Hawkwind, and more.

  • @iGorship777

Any prog list without mention of Tool is flawed. Especially since you included PT, DT, and Opeth.

  • @MarkMadnessSH You probably mean any prog list without mention of Symphony X is flawed.

  • @iGorship777 If you like prog-jazz-classical music you should check out Jean-Pierre Alarcen if you haven't already, it's amazing. There is one album on Spotify.

  • @norjoker Will do, thanks for the recommendation.

  • @iGorship777 May I add The Mars Volta, Captain Beyond, Renaissance, Lucifers Friend, Eloy, Radiohead, Supertramp, The Soft Machine, and of course, the man himself, Frank Zappa.

  • @iGorship777 Between the buried and me (Prog-Deathmetal)
