Saturation seems much better on the Vado HD than my Flip Mino HD (and forget the Zi6 until they fix the frame-dropping bug). Suggestion - get a stabilizer. ;)
Yeah i just got a kodak Zi6 but the frame dropping is really annoying me... do you think there will be a firmware update or will i have to go out and buy another camera?
I've had the Vado HD for several weeks now and have noticed that it also drops frames here and there - only in some circumstances, although I haven't done enough testing to figure out what those are exactly but I went on a trip to Japan and was a little disappointed when I found that some of the clips had a lot of lost frames.
Huh, maybe I just got a bad apple then. It -seems- that the issue happens when I shoot too many small details such as in a forest with lots of leaves and light, or something like that.
ohh, well i never actually shot in those types of areas, i will definitely have to try it the next time i go to a forest and see if i get this problem as well
Boogieman605: Cool, so what are your impressions so far? Color seems to be better than Mino HD and low light seems to be fairly noise free. I would say it is a better device than the Mino HD and Kodak Zi6 at the moment.
I'm really liking it. I did some research into the Mino and the Zi6 before I bought this one and supposedly the Mino has slightly better quality, but the features of the Vado outweigh it by far (and those are more important to me than the slight difference in the quality). The only complaint I have is that they could have included image stabilization, but if you're considering it I'd definately recommend it.
Your house is very pretty & so are your tree and decorations :)
