Don't use to much lighter fluid use just enough and male sure the material you use is 100% cotton it's critical to the project,also you need to make sure the needle is pretty much hidden in the middle so it does heat up and burn.For a little extra you can spray the ball with axe dont drench it though just lightly spray the surface and be extremely careful

I did it and it went perfict but after 1 light after 30 seconds it goes out and won't light so I have to resoak it and I don't have lighter fluid so I use rubbing alchol and so I am gunna get fluid to make it work better and all others yes it does sting but if you move it around it is warm but it feels good but mine were masive so I got my mom to take 3 and juggle em and ut was awsome!!!!! ive tried it..... wet ur hands as a pre caution...... dont hold the ball right away or you will get burned like me..... place ur ball on ur counter and light it.... start poking it and get comfortable.. before you start holding and playing with it.... never look at it up close as u can burn ur hair and ur eyes...

cotton is the most heat reistant of all fibers

the cotton absorbes the heat at the bottom. the flame at the top is burning entiriley on the lighter fluid

@lalortiiz OK MAN the cotton and fluid absorb the flame therefore the ball itself isnt burning, its the fluid thats burning, like if u lite ur hand on fire itll be amazingly painful, but if u light ur hand on fire with axe all over it then it wont hurt nearly as bad because the energy of the heat is being taken and absorbed by the fluid

Well the problem with it burning is either you're not using 100% cotton or you're using fuel with butane in it. Make sure you check ingredients!
