I am a huge SG-1 fan and I don't understand your comment...Sanctuary is one of the BEST scifi/mystery shows ever! 3 seasons, huge fanbase, great actors, awesome characters, much better effects in the last 2 seasons and a fantastic storyline.

Its funny you say that because I think it is one of the worst sci-fi shows I have ever seen (at least after season 1, but this is also where I stop)... mediocre acting at best, horrid and often painfully predictable plot lines, and so-so dialogue. Oh, and in season 1, pretty shitty effects (but that is the least important thing on this list).

The meta human concept has been seen many times before. Many elements of this remind me of birds of prey and Mutant X. The latter was about a group of 3 mutants led by a genius human doctor that worked out of a place called Sanctuary to protect the world against a huge evil organisation that sought to destroy/control mutants everywhere... hmmm...

Taste is taste, and one cannot argue with that. But "ground breaking" it certainly is not.

@alin1975 I would have to agree. I saw a couple of episodes and wasn't impressed. I know the look of it anywhere, it has to be a Canadian production, just like Mutant X and Birds of Prey were. ((I am Canadian. Funny thing is, we have great actors and writers but our TV shows tend to lack because of poor budget. This is why Hollywood and American TV is so great, they have our screenwriters and our actors XD.))

With this show, I gave it a few episodes from season2 after my talk with WondaMike below, and it does get somewhat better than season 1, I will give it that.

I have to say when I first saw this trailer I was instantly intrigued by it and waited and followed up on 'Sanctuary' and I am so glad I did!? I saw the first 'webisodes' and then waited for the TV series and me and my mother are now big fans of the show. We met Amanda at a sci-fi convention in 2007 and we loved it. Amanda Tapping is an amazing actress and I hope 'Sanctuary' lasts a long time x
