I love geese and I had the honor to pet and cuddle a goose for hours myself. Geese have such charisma and personality, I hope many more people realize this and get fascinated by these modern dinosaurs! :-)

@IrishHouseBoy Thanks. Oliver, who you can't see in the film, is the incarnation of gentle and sweet. No warrior whatsoever. I was holding him in my right arm, holding my camera-phone in the left, and having difficulty juggling it all!

If I had known this film was going to be seen by 31,000 people, I wouldn't have been "cooing" so embarrassingly to my (beloved) dog Oliver - who, by the way, I was holding in one arm, while shooting this film with my Droid X. It was all very spontaneous, which is why the film is so impromptu, so ragtag, and just ends so abruptly! - Heath

I think this is wonderful! People dont realize how social ducks...geese...chickens really can be! I know a pet hen that 'gives hugs' they are not just dumb animals here for food! Maria is educating SO many people! I just hope nothing happens to her...they get depressed too!

Heablinka, I hate to tell you this but I don't think you're right about that. I think it was the goose that domesticated the people, not the other way around. Watch the video about Maria the goose at wsj.com or read the LA times to find out the whole back story. It truly is a beautiful, real fairy tale.
