Awwwwwwwwww.. what a gorgeous, little, black, barrel cat. ^_^ Thanks for the demo, I'm getting a furminator for my 4 cats now (two of whom are maine coons with extremely long fur).
Just bought a Furminator for my two boys - can't wait! Both are long haired beauties and I only paid a few bob for it on Ebay! And compostable? I didn't know that - thanks!
THIS WORKS WONDERS! I tried everything and nothing, even dematting tools, worked. I have 2 long haired cats and one of my cats LOVES it when I use this on him. It pulls out most of the matted fur so I don't have to cut them out. I would highly recommend paying the price for this gadget. The video demonstrations are real, not fake. It looks like I have another cat with all the fur I have left over after brushing just one of my cats! Works great on dogs too!
Furminator suing anyone producing any sort of pet grooming device - Look up "A Pet Grooming Tool Unleashes a Dogfight of a Patent Battle" for a Wall Street Journal article about this - Hmmm, maybe I should try to patent a hair brush, or the wheel.
I love the FURminator! It's a bit pricey in the states...about 45 dollars, but soooo worth it, especially for summertime! I swear, you could make a sweater from the amount of fur that comes off that brush. Not like you'd want to, however, just saying...
@BigGame89 - not fake. I went to my parents house for Xmas and their cat literally had dreadlocks. Looked for a cat brush and found an unused Furminator in the cabinet. Brushed enough hair out of the cat to make another cat, now he's silky smooth and he was my best friend after I was done happy to be rid of his gross hair problem (which I can imagine is like a cold breeze hitting my face after a fresh shave). Immediately bought one of my own when I got home for my cats.
i so have to try this i cant even pat my cat without getting a hand ful of hair its so annoying for me and for her too i think heading to ebay this minute .....
@Muzzzy2 yes they do!! i got one today for my little dookie as she is shedding like mad already. and believe me its a god send.... i have vids of dookie on my page if you wanna see :) word of advice, amazon is dirt cheap =P
We use deShedder by Furminator and it is sooo great you can use it on cats and dogs and its great because we have a norwiegen cat and they have lots of fur and we have never seen our cat look so good (and so much dead fur come off) now he has soft fur and my god we got a lot of fur of him (OUR VET RECOMMENDED IT) it was 65 SFR it's not cheap but it lasts 10 cats if you dont leave it blade down so it becomes blunt but it's GREAT try it if you have a dog or cat with lots of fur!!!!!!!!
My 4 cats are watching this and drooling (2 of them are long hair).. I'll have to buy them one now. lol. Thanks for the demo, I didn't think they actually worked. Glad to be proven wrong though, thank you.
P.S. Your cat is VERY cute and looks like my little girl Sox.

i have a furminator...my cat LOVES to get groomed.
But i groomed a little too much with the furminator and now she had a slight bald spot...
I thought it only removed loose and dead hair....but if you keep going your cat might end up bald lol

You are irritating the fuck out of your cat's back. Stop brushing the same exact spot. You'll cause the skin to start itch and burn...
xpenxhoundx 2 years ago
Stop doing it on one spot only! You can cause irritation... the hair needs to be removed from more areas than just the ridge of the back you know
scarletrose44 2 years ago
@scarletrose44
If the guy was causing irritation the cat would leave! Nuff said!
