You don't need to tighten the blade. Just a mild hand tightening with the fingers is more than adequate. Just wasting time to tighten and then loosen. The bag is a good idea, although, by time I fish the bag out, set it in, I could have sprayed it out with the nozzle. Small residues don't bother me in the catcher.
Thanks great demo! I LOVE mine! Jack, his wife Elaine and I did a show for Rampart Police Community Association when he was 92! SO inspiring, bought one of these for my daughter as well! If you are careful to scrub and the produce is organic, I've made muffins from the pulp, vegan in fact! DELICIOUS!
@callumm3060 No pulp... but it depends on the fruit. Most of the pulp goes to the pulp catcher but sometimes some pulp can come through depending on the fruit and its level of ripeness.
I keep my cereals on top of my fridge too. :) by the way, my mother-in-law has a Jack LaLane's Juicer too and she loves it, plus me and my wife do to.
The one we have gives us PURE JUICE, no pulp or anything, only juice. :)
