  • kefka is god hahahah

  • I'm rather surprised anyone trusted Kefka at all. I mean...if I was Queen and my advisor looked like The Joker, I may rethink my strategy.

  • @chinangel Gestahl's trust was probably based on pure arrogance. He thought he could control Kefka and his magical power since he was the one who "made" him. But it also shows his incompetence as the emperor. Having a loose cannon like Kefka running free isn't the best strategy around.

  • @ZealSeraph then my comment stands :P

  • Comment removed

  • The unrefined process that made him a Magitek Knight damaged his brain. Now Kefka has a borderline obsessive compulsive need to destroy, because that's all he knows, it's the only way he can find meaning. With zero faith in life, he seeks to destroy everything, including himself, because he has nothing to live for. Nothing matters to him and he can't empathize. He might even be secretly jealous that Terra's party found meaning in their lives. And so he seeks to destroy it all! WAAAHOHOHOHOHO!

  • My friend said this about kefka and how he is the greatest villain in any final fantasy ever

Seperoth whined about wanting to destroy the world.

Kefka went ahead and did it.

  • @AngelusDlion That's quite true, but Sephiroth DID manage to make the whole population of the world wet themselves and tremble in fear with his meteor and sending the Weapons against them. Besides the destruction Kefka caused wasn't permanent, and many of the people survived the end of the world, so he wasn't all that successful either.

They are both still worth respecting as villains.

  • @ZealSeraph Though I believe that Kefka could have destroyed everything, but what wold the fun in that be?

A sociopath without anyone to torture is a bored Sociopath after all.

  • @AngelusDlion He was a very misanthropic person who wanted everyone dead because he despised people and saw them as insignificant waste of space. Destroying everything was his ultimate goal, but he wanted to take his time and enjoy it as long as he could.

  • @tubeshark Seriously, dude, the thought of say a 3ds remake of the original where only the graphics were changed and maybe a bonus dungeon or two wouldn't make you drool?

  • @AngelusDlion While I can't really claim that I wouldn't buy the remake, I still think it's unneeded. The original was, and to me will always be, one of the best games of all time. I wouldn't change a thing, not even the graphics that are part of the game's charm. Graphical update just isn't reason enough for remaking something.

  • @ZealSeraph Fair enough. You managed to make your point without fanboying and that I give you credit for. (In other words you made your point.)

But I see it this way. It might attract the kids who weren't around for the 16 bit era. Also to have, just for sake of argument, a DLC version with maybe some extras...? I'd pay for that.

  • The End Comes.... Beyond Chaos

  • is it me, or does it look like Angel Kefka has a MASSIVE erection?

  • you know, the godly Kefka sprite seems to have a boner

  • @tubeshark It's utterly amazing how the original track for the game was 17:34 long. I mean, Nobuo Uematsu really pulled out all the stops for this one. He's an amazing composer and I believe that he is one of the few trademark faces that goes on the final fantasy series.

  • @gorette66 Technically, Kefka kicked his ruler off of a floating island. I agree though, Kefka is the best FF villain.

  • Finally! A remix that does justice to this wickedly epic song! Kefka is the greatest villain of the series. If I recall correctly, his list of "achievements" include: poisoning an entire town (enemies AND allies) in order to speed up the war, kicked his ruler off a cliff, laid waste to the world, had his own cult, built a hellish tower from which he cast down judgement upon all beings, and most importantly: became a god.

He was a complete wack-job and proud of it. Live, die, who cares?

  • My favorite villains are Kefka and Jenova.

  • @ElegeantFencer a deadly badass harlequin and.... a severed head?

  • this isnt the full version the full black mages version is 10 minutes + ... altho i likied the art work in this

  • @kenmabie Over 12 minutes actually, which was too long to upload back then.

  • @ZealSeraph

so since when is 10 + minutes not include 12 minutes...

    just fuckign with you :D

but yea i have 1 version which is full and its just over 10 minutes

but i also have a second version which is full version and its a little over 12 minutes

both are by the black mages and both are full so i dont know which one is right

they are the exact same song, maybe ones tempo is faster or somthing...

  • @tubeshark it would be nice to see it remade with updated graphics but keeping the same gameplay as the original . i would love to see fully rendered versions of the characters also you are a bit late it was remade for pa1 and nintendo ds ...

  • @tubeshark maybe the makers should keep up with the technology think of that? oh kefka is easy cake and fruity homosexual.

  • @WildBrooksy Maybe they should let go of the past and make new games with new technology instead of riding with the fame of their past achievements. And Kefka wasn't homosexual. He wasn't straight or bi either. He didn't have any interest towards any other living thing, he didn't care for anyone except himself.

  • @tubeshark maybe the makers should keep up with the technology think of that?

  • @tubeshark

I think that the idea of a remake is to transport the game to a new console whit more graphic and better sound, to be replayed and enjoy, not killing the story whit shit.

  • @luisoloyolo Yes, but graphical update is hardly a reason enough to remake a masterpiece, especially when the graphics are the least important thing in video games.

Overdoing the graphics is the reason why games today suck. The makers put so much effort into making the game look good that they don't even care to, or have time to pay attention to the plot or gameplay. FF13 is one of the best examples of this. It looks jawdropping, but it ended up sucking like a vacuum cleaner.

  • they need to take the exact SNES copy of the game and put it on a disc compatible with now a day consoles

  • @CoolDogRAE Didn't they kinda do that already? You can play PS1-games with both PS2 and PS3.

  • @CoolDogRAE final fantasy anthology :p

    ps1 games play on ps3

    also emulators

  • @CoolDogRAE

or you could just go get the rom and a supernintendo emulator and play it on your pc... herp a derp... software piracy is cool... herp derp

  • 2:30 to 4:15 is a complete ripoff from the phantom of the opera… (toccata and fugue in D minor)

  • @OTfor22 face palm.....

toccata and fugue in d minor wasnt written for the phantom of the opera you dipshit it was written by bach and has been used in everything from the phantom of the opera to dracula to every fucking horror movie of the golden age of film... also are you implying thta every single piece of music that has an organ in it is copying toccota and fugue? ... plese dont try to act smart your not and us actual smart people can smell bullshit from a mile away ...

  • One wing? Try four....

  • @83jbbentley six actually

  • @83jbbentley um kefka has 6 wings two sets of angles (4 feathered ones) and a set of demon (2 bat like) ... thats 6...

  • @83jbbentley Well try six then.

  • @tubeshark

maybe....probably. but our moments will never be tarnished from the original version. if it could be remade....and kefka isn't such a 'clown', then why not remake and see if other folks can buy into it? like i said.....we have ours..and that will never change no matter what.

  • @steelflight18 I fail to see the point of remaking it, since you can already get it for more common consoles like GBA and PS1, so It's not like it's hard to find.

The truth is, they could never remake the soul of FF6, no matter how hard they try. Remaking it would be just catering people who think graphics are the most important thing in games (in fact the graphics are the reason games today suck). What they should do instead is make FF15 and try to not screw it up like 12 or 13.

  • @tubeshark they didnt fail to make him right in dissidia that was the original concept art that they had. thats what they used for alot of the characters in dissidia.

  • @anamAlister The problem isn't how he looked, it's how he acted. He was just a mere clown, a Joker-clone at best, even though he was supposed to be a complete psychopath bent on destroying all life, you know, something terrifying. Instead they made him a joke, something that makes you laugh when you see the way he acts before or during the battle. That's where they failed with Kefka.

  • @ZealSeraph well in ffvi he is sorta clownish when he fights Emperor Gestahl with the whole bouncing around him and all

  • @anamAlister True, but it was very common way to express emotions such as excitement back when the characters were in 8- or 16-bit and couldn't do it otherwise. Many of his similar acts were just meant to show extreme emotions.

Kefka was a court mage, not a court jester. He was also one of the high-commanding generals of the empire, so even if he didn't have much sense nor morality, he did have at least some dignity.

  • @ZealSeraph No, Kefka was a sociopath. A sociopath is someone who doesn't see people as people. And that, IMO, Is what made him scarier.

  • @RETROgamingKING PS3 as well

  • some of this sounds a little like one winged angel (which i think beats this)

  • @tubeshark How about a three part epic movies from a fan of the game?

  • I just love this song

  • @tubeshark they'regoing to do remakes of ffV and VI on the 3DS

  • @chezjdleclubvideo NOOOO all the DS final fantasys have been epic fails so far!! they cannot disgrace FFV and VI that way (with that shitty 3D crap they made)

  • Kefka Was A Stupid Clown of the Empire, and In the End That Stupid clown Become a GOD, Dont Judge him cause game Mecanics, Judge him Cause what he did! Lorewise.

  • @Darkess

ok in sane clown that destroyed the world of balance became a god and almost succeeded in killing everyone everywhere... yep kefka is a bad ass mother fucker

  • I'm afraid this guy is SMACK

dab in the middle of cool and funny!

  • I'm up for a remake of VI, but I agree with tubeshark. If they change any one, single thing, it'll make a mockery of these proceedings.

  • @Levyathyn they just need to update the graphics and not the story or game play and it would be still great but even better with fully rendered characters (know hwat i mean? )

  • @kenmabie yep. That's it to a T.

  • @kenmabie

Voice acting and rebalance the combat system so the fights are actually...hard...

Paladin shield should reduce all by half instead of absorbing: For that matter, "Absorb" on player controlled gear should be removed completely in FF6. It's too damn good.

All Block and magic block gear should be nerfed by half of it's current blocking stats.

Voice acting with real adult actors playing adult sounding voices, not the 12 year old-sounding voices of the FF4DS remake...

  • @craftmatic2 i never played any other ff's except this one, i never really liked the stories in the other ones this one however was fucking epic

  • @tubeshark Dude, You are as right as anyone in the world ever could be.

  • @tubeshark i never palyed that game but i think il pass it now O.o i just beat ff6 like a few days ago. but yes the graphics where perfect. idk, just somewhere in my headf can i see this game in virtual reality, but thats just a fantasy for now i guess :/

  • clown bosses are misjudged :[

  • /watch?v=CrcTGeF-ruU

you will never think of this song the same way ever again.

  • This song should have been in Dissidia X_X

  • @PowerOfTheWarrior All that counts are their actions. That's how I think Kuja is one of the most badass things ever, even though he doesn't have a proper pair of pants.

  • @tubeshark It's just part of him being insane, isn't it? Who cares if he looks like hell, HE IS HELL.

  • @tubeshark omg where did you get that picture at 1:30?

  • @PowerOfTheWarrior I recommend actually playing the game. If you finish the game (or really only get halfway through) and don't then think that Kefka is deadly-fucking-serious, then you have no soul.

  • @billybones12345

I beat the game twice and i still think he's a joke. Even when he becomes all powerful, i still think of him as the stupid bumbling clown that he is.

  • It's just so hilarious how GAY and weird he looks, but hes the most badass and insane villain I've ever seen...he's by far my Fav of all my villains...especially his God form XD Man...Hes actually the only to technically almost achieve his goal, which is to say causing everything to turn into nothingness...Sephy got close, but Kefka actually murdered most of the human population...

  • Yeah, Kefka even tops the latest villain Square's cooked up, Galenth Dysley a.k.a. Barthandelus. I mean, he's pretty evil, but not as bad as Kefka. Worse than Seymour Guado, Kuja, Sorceress Edea, Seifer Almasy, and Golbez. But, not as worse as Sephiroth or Kefka.

  • That music is a classic, because it shows the essence of villainous Kefka. . . . . . . . . . .

  • i say kefka might be the most epic villain from the final fantasy series, I think he's the only one who actually acheived his goal! He destroyed the world! therefore even thought he is a total asshole for those who get ''in the story'' like me, i still respect him

  • @lavitzthejadedragoon While he did manage to get further than any other villain, his goal wasn't completely reached. The world was saved after all. Kefka wanted to literally destroy everything because he didn't see the point in struggling through life when everyone dies anyway, nor could he understand why people build things that, in time, would be destined to crumble. He almost succeeded to destroy everything, but not quite. As Terra said, he couldn't destroy people's hopes and dreams.

  • @tubeshark indeed he couldn't crush their hopes and dreams, what you said is true i must say.But what i meant by ''the most epic villain from the final fantasy series'' was that of all of them, he the one who got the closer to do it, based on what i know. If I am wrong, tell me i am willing to reconsider.

  • @lavitzthejadedragoon No no, you're right. I just wanted to point out that even the almighty Kefka, who is one of my favorite villains, failed on his ultimate goal, which wasn't becoming a god. Kefka's so badass that becoming a god is a mere stepping stone in his plans :D

  • @tubeshark the only thing about kefka i was like O.O is who easy you beat him, wether you use Ragnarok sword trick or good ol'fightin.

  • @lavitzthejadedragoon Chaos got what he wanted actualy , I guess Palemecia got close too .

  • @tubeshark Your recap of the story reminds me just how well the FF6 plot was written. It was probably the best imagined game, next to 7.

  • @lavitzthejadedragoon

A lot of Final Fantasy villains achieved their goal but were stopped. Chaos, Sephiroth and Yu Yevon for example. They were just stopped.

  • 5:44-8:42 the most epic and HARD CORE part of Dancing Mad period, ROCK ON KEFKA STYLE !!!! \,,/*o*\,,/ !!!!

  • 5:44-8:42 the most epic and hard part of Dancing Mad period,\,,/*o*\,,/

  • Kefka Flipped us off!!!

Darnit, Kefka always knows how to screw our minds and screw us over.

  • Kefka is my ultimate favorite villian. He's not trying to destroy everything for personal gain persey, he just enjoys it. His original plan was fulfilled, destroying the world and becoming a god, which is alot more that any other boss can say. Hell he has the most diabolical laugh of basically any villan I've played against. My fovorite quote from him is "Why do people cling to life when they know they can't live forever." Which is really the central point of the entire game.

  • Now this version is epic.

    Original version = good

    Dissidia version = shit

  • Fantastic song, shame it was wasted on a villain as pathetic as Kefka.

Exdeath was better and he was run-of-the-mill all the way. (although even as a tree he was more of a threat than that silly clown)

  • @dikikid Shut up and go worship Sephiroth

    NOOB

  • YOU all, stop making spoilers about Kefka or people will not understand truly its greatness.

BEWARE OF THE INSANITY OF THE MAN, THE ESENCE OF THE GREAT KEFKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Kefka is the best villain ever, his insanity is unic

  • Gained the power of the gods, scorched the earth, brought mankind to its knees and he was still unsatisfied =)

  • I only liked 2 of the final fantasy villains, Kefka being my top and Garland as my second. Garland was awesome he was like a ninja/samurai. And Kefka? Fuck! just look at him he's a total badass with a 5 part final theme the longest boss music in any final fantasy.

And this kiddies is why Kefka will always be the most badass villain in all of Final Fantasy. And this my friends is a fact.

  • @Evangelist0121 - The Emperor is actually better in style. Kefka's still my close second.

  • Ultimecia's final themes are pretty long too

  • not only that he's the only one that actually brings the earth to its knees, unlike the other villains

  • @Evangelist0121 Kuja is my favorite.

  • destroy destroy destroyyyy !!!

  • Kefka is the Joker of Final Fantasy. And I don't know why, but Sephiroth feels kinda like a Penguin to me.... So who would be riddler I wonder?

  • Kuja probably would be, because he uses a lot of riddles, puzzles, poems and 'quotes' to torment the protagonists. See: Explanation of how to make soulless dolls out of the dregs of souls.

  • I'd say The Emperor.

  • Comment removed

  • Scratch mylast comment it would be Kuja

  • Golbez would be Ras Al Ghul!

  • @Legumaniac Good comparison there. I can totally see it.

As for Exdeath, I'm inclined to say he's like The Mad Dog, philosophically speaking. Google him and then think about it. It's the closest I could come within making the obvious (yet gender-confused) Exdeath-Poison Ivy comparison.

  • @MetalGearRexPilot

Even though people dislike Penguin (and I see their arguments), comparing Seph to him is saying Seph has class -- he doesn't.

    The best comparison would be

Kefka : Joker :: Sephiroth : The Ventriloquist

Batman fans and FFVII fans, as retarded as they may be, should be able to see the similarities.

  • um... I think Sephiroth is more like Cat woman... He is always toying with clouds head and well I'm sorry but he is quite effeminate... oh wait nope I'm not sorry.

  • your right, oh wait nope sorry, your very right

  • id like to add my own: Golbez from FF4 seems like Two-Face since he has 2 different personalities in him, and Cloud of Darkness from FF3 is like Poison Ivy (the evil vines growing out of her, her extremly revealing clothes).

  • kefka - some characters are best to leave as pixelated characters.

  • True that. I cant belive they left out his trademark laugh in Dissidia :(

  • They didn't. It was there, it just didn't sound like the 32-bit laugh that was in the original FF6.

  • Nobuo Uematsu is the Aerosmith of video game music......that OR the Mozart.

  • You just compared Aerosmith to Mozart...... Am I the only one who sees something wrong with that. Nobuo Uematsu can be compared with Mozart, but Aerosmith can't.

  • Well see, he does many scores with instruments, but Nobuo mostly plays with a guitar, plus the Black Mages IS his band.....

  • No he doesn't. Nobuo always plays the keyboard, not the guitar.

  • Really? That's so strange because I saw this interview with him and he started playing the guitar in front of the camera and he even said himself that when he was a kid he was so happy he had a guitar as a gift. Even though he never learned from a teacher how to play the guitar, Nobuo said he self taught himself how to play a guitar and he just played randomly. So I guess who I'm talking about is NOT Nobuo Uematsu?

I apologize, I'm acting like a real smartass.

  • Oh it's definitely possbile that he can play the guitar. Most compossers, especially the calliber f Nobuo know how to play several instruments. But in the Black Mages he always does keyboards as far as I've seen.

  • Ah now see, your talking about the band, I thought you meant in general. My apologies, I misconstrued what you said.

  • does any one have a copy of this game pls help out

  • get a game boyy advance and u should be able 2 find ff6 advance used anywhere. its the most up to date version

  • i was hopeing for ps1

    but tanx

  • final fantasy anthology has V an VI u can find it on amazon or whatever...thats 4 PS1

  • i tried some of those web sites

    but some camed damged.

    but thanks

  • try ordering it from gamedude or other used game shops or try the gba remake

  • A real organ in the final phase would sound interesting...

  • I came at 6:20

  • ...did they turn the opening bit into Penguin's theme in Batman Returns?

  • Life...dreams...hope...Where do they come from? And where do they go? Such meaningless things...I'll destroy them all!

I worship you Kekfa... take me to the tower of fanatics!!

  • I used to have one wing but now I'm dancing mad! xD

    HAW HAW HAW HAW!

  • Now that's extreme dude :D

  • All arguments of preferred villains aside, the Black Mages sure do some good covers. I was a little disappointed by the ending though, my favorite part was hearing the transition from mellow to Kefka's insane laughter in phase 3 of the original, but they opted to just slowly phase the song out instead. Regardless, great song.

  • Just want to point out they're not exactly covers, Nobuo Uematsu the leader and keyboard player in the band wrote all these songs for squaresoft/square-enix.

  • Just wanted to point out they're not exactly covers. Nobue Uematsu is the band leader, he's also the guy who originally wrote the songs for square.

  • well Lars, Its a personal preferance. But what Im pointing out is that no one gives a shit what other people think so the arguing is pointless

  • better or worst... there are no such thing, some will prefere Kefka over Sephiroth and viceversa, how can you tell one it's better?, Kefka has things that Sephiroth don't have, and Sephiroth has things that Kefka don't, it's just a matter of taste, it's like saying this theme it's better than One Winged Angel, they're both great pieces, no more, no less, for example if One Winged Angel it's better, why am I listening to this?, if the other one it's "better"?

  • yes testa, Personally I like Kefka better but its really not worth arguing about

  • Im with you pwned Its so idiotic

  • thank you

  • Put this in a film for a final battle scene and it would be epic especially the final bit. Just imagine a film with some epic sword and gun scene and heaps of bullet dodging!

Followed by a bit where the hero is winded and tired then returns back to kick ass!

If this song was put in a film..... It would make my day!

  • It wouldn't really work. In a movie, the song would need to stay in constant motion and thus, with it's many monotone parts, would not make a suitable action scene or final battle. Leave it to video games...

  • The original one is just a sample of the one played in the game, while the new one is supposed to be the Black Mages-version played fully...only with this one it was impossible to fit the entire theme here without taking something out. I'm not really trying to compare anything here to rate which one is better.

And your example isn't all that great...actually not fitting at all. In the end it is the same theme instead of something from completely different franchise.

  • Kefka was the first to ever follow along with the heroes. He starts out being weak to an extreme, running from a single hit, but grows more and more over the course of the game until he reaches god hood. Possibly the greatest and the only end boss to truly succeed in destroying the world. And to top that off, he afterwards remakes it to match his twisted mind, corruption and destruction thriving. What else could be said except that he is truly the greatest villain of all time.

  • Correction, he didn't really destroy the world (That's the irradication of all life). Secondly, if he remade the entire world, EVERYONE would warship him. The fact that there are still plenty of towns left and plenty of people left to fight only shows he's been sleeping on his adversaries. This is a pretty technical view of things, so I understand if there are any objections...

  • Kefka is the SHIT, he not only destroys an entire kingdom but the empire and the entire planet to later become a god himself. He has no mercy to anyone and that defined one of the best villains on the rpg realm along Luca Blight (Suikoden 2)

  • Guys...guys... he didn't technically destroy the planet. The damn thing could sustain itself pretty well at the end of the game. Besides, anyone who's read this message board for this video knows we don't play it single minded here. We love everybody!! Including the Emperor, Golbez, Sephiroth, Kefka, Ex-Death (I guess), all of them. Except of course the surprise villains, like Zeromus, or Ultimicia n' whatnot. They can suck a nut...

  • ...I love Ultimecia.

  • I liked Necron....and Ultimecia...and especially Zeromus ;D

  • I dunno. The thing (For me) is that they don't have that much character developement. Would Kuja or Sephiroth be considered awesome characters if they only appeared for an hour or so in a game spanning over 3 disks (Thereby receiving only an hour worth of character devfelopement)? Zeromus only appeared for 5 minutes, and Necron only appears at the end (Like Zeromus). I dunno about Ultimecia, but I hear she's kinda the same in those terms. I can't sense the allure that 2,4,6,7,9,12 villains gave.

  • The characters have all had an underlying presence within the story for almost it's entire length, knowledge of their existence always becomes a great plot twist near the end.

Zeromus' presence always existed through Golbez and his existence is made known through FoSuYa. Necron, though only made manifest at the very end of the game, is the true heart and spirit of the Lifa Tree and the source of it's power. Ultimicia, again, controls Edea and various other characters throughout the story.

  • Geez, that makes them sound so lazy. They got people to do things and waited for the heroes to come find them and kick their asses. That's the part that I hate...

  • Destroying the planet does not mean casting it into oblivion. It became a wasteland. A similar scenario as the Fallout series. Only not caused by nukes.

  • I thought destroying a planet meant to completely eviscerate all life. Complete rubble. Nothing left. Get where I'm goin'?

  • Yeah, I get where you are going. And you are wrong. To destroy means to damage beyond repair, not to cause the ceasing of existence.

  • Ah, so the term I'm looking for would be more along the lines of... eradicate?

  • I would say morel ike "obliterate"

  • lol at 8:43

  • also i agree, kefka vs sephiroth is getting old, because godzilla kills everyone!

  • does that make sephiroth an ant

  • look, to avoid saying he's the best villain of all time(which i think he is but that is no more than an opinion) he is a great FF world villain, i mean the dude took out a whole empire with poison, and reshaped the face of the planet, and became a god as well. plus this game featured a character who was born half-human half-esper. that's badass

  • Damn, you make it sound lame. You could have just said there were ninjas in FF and I would have been all over it... Anyway, yeah, it's me, the best comment poster of all time (Or on this video...). Welcome me back anyone?

  • Kefka to Sephiroth:

    MAMA'S BOY!

  • HERP DERP OLOLOLO U SO FUNNY
