yo this game has nothing at the end, i played first 20 hours having so much fun, then the enemies are just too weak, i beat game went to bonus dungeon and won at lvl 57, i only had ultimate weapon for marvel. was gonna get the other weapons but theres no fuckin bosses. no reason to max out if everything is dead. overall a 5/5 game regardless but i wish it couldnt had more endgame sidequest to do something

Oh yea and not to mention in battle the boss use some crazy spells and that blast you didn't even give him time to use is almost instant and deadly. Makes me wanna play the snes version now.
I noticed that the dialogue at the end is more detailed and long than the psp version. In the psp version he says a bit of stuff, refer himself as god and attacks you. The only thing that didn't change was the survival of the fittest part.

well no hes not from the future i font think he is at least, but so4 is about the aftermath of world war 3 thats about as much that has been released as far as i know (try looking it up on wikipedia or something but its not gonna tell too much more its the prequel to all the star ocean games.

There already is a remake of this game in Japan. Its for PSP, remade using Star Ocean 2's graphics and fighting engine. Star Ocean 2 is itself soon to follow with its remake for PSP in April. Both have extras, such as anime cut scenes and completely vioce acting.
I thought it was a cool game, but I couldn't beat the last few dungeons. That game had a huge sudden jump in difficulty. Up until then I was kicking all the enemies and bosses' asses but then at those last dungeons the enemies were harder than bosses. What was up with that? So I never got to beat it unfortunately. I never did the weapon making minigame thing though.
That boss were really TOO easy..i remember i thought it was a big "let down", after defeating enemys that were harder. Oh well. Good to see him again anyways :D
That might explain one of the reasons that the original Star Ocean never made it to the U.S.. Maybe there too many complications with the translation and other modifications. It's a shame, I wanted to play this one.
You have to download the Japanese ROM and then download an english translation patch from dejap. then you use a program like IPSWin to combine the english patch with the japanese rom.
no no no. u guys got it all wrong. in the year 2012 the sun is supposed to line up directly with the center of our milky way galaxy.(so say the mayans) and a spacial event will take place.
This game actually has some clues about reality just like Star Trek did...the federation exists but obviously is not evil...they're coming in 2012...that's why I like this game a lot...
There are many theories...but one of them which is 100% true is that the Mayan calendar ends December 21st 2012...that could mean anything either good or bad...or both...
I think our galaxy is supposed to cross paths with another galaxy in 2012 or something. I heard some dude interviewed on the radio who was saying something like that.
Actually is the planet of Nibiru...which is like an airship planet so to speak, they have made it so it flies to wherever they want like a machine...the pressure that Nibiru brings with it may or will bring lots of disasters to Earth because (I think) of the magnetic pull...if that happens, around half of the population of Earth will die...
yeah if it's just a few assholes saying that and NASA isn't totally freaking out then I think we're fine. We should be able to tell from a kid's bedroom telescope whether or not we're that close to collision with another galaxy or planet.
o i know about that one yea it is true but it actually is a misunderstanding. it doesn't actually mean the end of the world. just the end of a 400 year cycle or 1 baktun. it is how they divided up the years of the universe.
Exactly...but a lot of people will die...that half the population of the Earth may die doesn't actually mean the end of the world (planet Earth that is)...but if it happens it's gonna be painful...
well that is just because like the backward sunspot will be pointed at earth at this time and some people believe that it will trigger many earthquakes and valcano eruptions. like Yellowstone some think and that could wipe out about 80% of the U.S. but that is just theory another thing they think will happen is that a portion of earth will be without electricity for about 2 weeks.

Uhh...Final Fantasy is still great, there's no such thing as a bad Final Fantasy game and that's why it's so big.
On Star Ocean, I haven't played a bad Star Ocean either let me tell you, great fucking games, but I guess it goes on opinion.
