Kirsten Flagstad sings Grieg - Lys nat - A clear night

Flagstad at her finest. She may have been the greatest female interpreter of Wagner of her time, but Grieg was not Wagner. This may be her most true-to-Grieg interpretation I've yet heard. Here I can appreciate this beautiful gentle song (one of my favorites) without the distractions of heavy operatic pretentiousness. Thank you, Ms. Flagstad - and thank you carusogugge for the posting.
