i couldnt find any flux so i used Silver solder paste. brand name is "Solder-it" it cost like $5 and worked.it comes in a syringe and is a little trickier to apply then the fluxpen, I havent ran my ps3 for a game session yet as i am still putting it back together, but i am fairly certain it will last long enough for a hard drove data transfer at the very least.

i have a question, after your done with the first reflow, do u add more flux? and when do u know when its ok to use the heat gun the second time? cuz u use the heat gun twice on the front and twice on the back, by the way i dont have anything to measure temperature

is it bad if you get some thurmal compound on the board itself. besides the RSX and Cellchip. because i was aplying the arctic silver 5 on the 2 squares(the rsx and cellchip)and i accidentally got some on the board. is that bad. if so how can i remove it.

@GMR597 Arctic 5 is non conductive of electricity, but it's still a good idea to clean it up as best you can

OMG is that a chicken @ 4:16? that hardly seems like an acceptable enviroment for electronic repair, between what im assuming is a chicken and the carpet ie static generator. but many props on the videos. you seem to be doing a great job aside from the precations i would take. but again great job.
