The Chicago Cubs are just plain pathetic. How can you exist as a team for over one-hundred years and be so unsuccessful at ever producing a championship team? The answer is inept ownership and inept management.. You cannot blame the players because they aren't responsible for being on the team. Management has to take the blame for acquiring the players and assembling these mediocre teams.Tthe Ricketts family should clean house starting at the top and hire the best baseball minds available.

@hardhittndoug Almost all teams are owned by Corporation, generally LLC.s made up of groups of people. Bulls, Sox, Blackhawks, and Celtics, etc are owned by LLC.s. I am not sure what the family has decided legally, but right now the only team I can think of that is owned outright in the US by one person/family is the Utah Jazz which is owned by the Estate of Larry Miller.

I'm really disappointed in the cubs off-season activity. I haven't heard any names added to our roster that can enhance our ability to win games throughout the season.

The seem really enthusiastic in making the team win I hope we can do it by 2010. Personally I do not care what happens to Wrigley field and I am a Cubs fan. Stadiums do not win championships teams win championships get buy us a nice injure free squad!!
