Wow I just watched your short and amazingly, it was almost an exact copy of the last 5 minutes of my full length feature titled Contract Killers I shot back in 2000 in Los Angeles, from the old guy with short grey hair and long coat, walking through the park wounded, to there being a ghost in the park at night, to dying on the bench, to waking up the next day, to the gun in the trash can. The similarities are incredible. I'll post it up on youtube tonight for you to check it out.
Great job especially with the limits set by the competition! The music, voices, lighting, everything was excellent. Great use of natural lighting. I enjoyed the film. Our distance is unfortunate because I'd love to be present in some of your projects. Let me know when your work is in the U.S. Best of luck to you.
This is a fine short, particularly the filming constraints of the Newcastle Shootout Festival (ie 24 hours filming, only in-camera editing allowed etc.) I love the rich colours and the Pepper's Ghost lighting effect, which caused some debate amongst other competition entrants who thought it must have contravened the rules! Add in the usual strong performance from Rob Queree and it's not hard to see why this film scooped 3 awards at the Festival! Great work.
Good one.

this was incredible. I was on a crew for a 48 hour film comp and can't imagine getting everything finished in 24. BRAVO!
