  • @MrMrlongone I will kill you

  • mmm i think i smell some hungry fisters out there

  • strykers are easy to drive, like a big truck, just when you get used to it then they put the slat armor on, or the cage, your not used to having 2 extra feet on both the sides. drives like a dream

  • these vehicles are blessed by jesus, you'll never die in one... sign up now

  • @analagony there ok till someone farts

  • @krashdown102 yeah they'll be farting alright from the greasy anal action, but dont ask or tell about the jism dripping down ASS of the blue denim policeman like trouser pants of the driver

  • i started with roller coasters to water slides to skydiving to this wtf i don't get this

  • @fireking98754 Me too!!

  • The cage is called Slat Armor.

  • I can has?

  • it's been my experiance that any property damage is , quickly repayed, an at overcost

  • "we've clipped things" aka we smacked into a few peoples cars lmao

  • @xmoonxdoggyx some people's houses. They didn't need those walls anyways though.

  • OMFG DUDE LMAO U fucking guys replaced us at Taji, what a cool thing to find this video, GO ARMAMENT!! lol

  • Too bad vehicles like that were designed for Iraq. We kept making them bigger and bigger. And now, in Afghanistan, the roads are to steep, and often to narrow for these behemoths. What good is an up armored vehicle when your going to spend 90% of your time dismounted anyways? These did great in Iraq, but now we need to invest more money away from these bulky ground vehicles and start providing more air support in Afghanistan. Because knowing you have an Apache overhead is always reassuring.

  • its called slat armor, prevents rpgs from hitting the actual vehicle.

  • Well at least it could drive through a wall with no problem.

  • 56th is based out of my home town

  • My brother in law served as Captain 1st Stryker Brigade two years ago for two years. Oh the stories he can tell from riding around that thing.

Now he designs them, and good thing he does, cause otherwise they'd have square headlights. Way to make us obvious since all the Iraqi cars have circle headlights...

  • Who ever is hatein on the 56th don't they r awesome And so is the stryker my dad is the sagrent of the 46th Stryker and was there I. Iraq

  • Doesnt allow the shaped charged to make contact

  • ill be a stryker system mech soon

  • @dac031 Hows that working out..... I ve been offer that job to come back into the Army.

  • @Bzgurl85 I'd say pretty well. If they offered you a postion in the 56th their scheduled to depoly in next spring so if you wanna get deployed soon and your in the PA national guard I would say go for it.

  • @penncap296 Sounds good..... Well Ive been told that I don't have a choice of station n that matter cuz Im goin back active where did u go to AIT?

  • @HallowPoint1981 The National Guard is the same as AD as for there are more NG units deployed and been there since 1636,

  • I don't know about that specialist but we just started training with our strykers two weeks ago and it is so easy to drive and maneuver. This vehicle is a blast to drive. we have had no problem getting it in and out of tight spaces. we all trust this vehicle completely.

  • How cute, the national guard is play Stryker Infantry. of course the real army Stryker Infantry is the way to go

  • Love the strykers, hate the 56th though.

  • )))))))))))))))))))))))))) Веселят эти джедаи!!!!! Технические решения этого ,,,,, просто впечатляют)))))))))))))))))))))))

  • You mean "proves its mettle"

  • @uglybob69 lol i was just about to say that

  • @uglybob69 I clicked the video with the intention of posting your exact comment, but you beat me to the punch.

  • @uglybob69 ...maybe proves it's made of metal?

  • @uglybob69 I think it's a pun...

  • @uglybob69 Wow! It's like I already answered!

  • @uglybob69 maybe its a pun

  • Could u imagan one of those going down I-95 o but wait they do not even kidding but they can go 75 miles and hour

  • Fyi, (& not to snark on you or anything) the word you were looking for in you vid title was "Mettle", not "Metal"; they sound exactly the same but they're spelled differently. Unless, of course, you were going for a pun on "metal" b/c they Stryker's made of metal -- yeah, that's probably what you were going for!! :)

  • Whats the purpose of the metal grating on the exterior?

  • @cory2146

according to my memory it's an rpg cage. it's designed to catch rocket propelled gernades and detonate them before the gernade actually hits the vehicle.

  • @alexseyev here's a question for ya. an RPG detonating a foot away from the vehicle compared to on the surface of the vehicle makes a substantial difference in how much damage the vehicle takes? fascinating.

  • @donluchitti the explosion is not coming in contact with the vehicle thus reducing the effect by a large amount. impacting with an explosive is far more effective than just the explosive itself.

  • @cory2146 the metal grating around the exterior is specifically built and designed to combat the rpg round. it is very cheap and effective

  • Wow, look at that canopy on the Stryker at 1:05! This urban fighting trend has developed some really interesting oddballs. Function over form, if it works then use them!

  • HOOAH! PSD 56th SBCT...I love the Stryker! Haji don't mess with the Strykers!

  • reminds me of the WW2 amtracks

  • join the pa guard and i'll teach yas how to drive

  • Where can I order one of those?

  • lol is there a lay away? this might take me time to pay off lol...

  • $1.9 M for an m1126 Infantry Carring Varient.

  • im particular to the 105 myself talk about a kick in the ass. saw that beauty in iraq.
