nice review i have 1 quesion though i dont know if this happens to everybody i have the 1000 but when im brushing my teeth it kinda cuts out power but not completly though what could that be??
If its stuttering thats a built in program. Its suppose to stutter every 30 seconds. basically you divide your teeth into 4 quarters and brush for 30 seconds for each quarter.
Great review. Very detailed and informative. I just bought one. I used to use the professional tooth brushes but it stopped working. After almost a year of Manuel tooth brushes and the cheep batteries ones (also oral b). I felt that my teeth were not as clean. But this tooth brush gives me a cleaning that is very much like going to the dentist. Just super clean and fresh. Thanks for the great review.
There is a lot more things that make the 1000, 2000 and 3000 toothbrushes different;. These include the different modes that you can use when brushing your teeth and also the different heads that you get with the brushes. The oral b 1000 is the cheapest in the professional care hat you can get and the 3000 is the most expensive brush that you can purchase in the professional care. You then go on to the oral b triumph or smartseries brushes, which includes the 4000 and the 5000 with smart guide.
thanks that was helpful... just got mine today for half price at tesco.. just a quick question, you were talking about extending the warrentee period, how do i do that... and another question, if i wash the whole thing, would it be fine?? thanks for ur time..
All the dentists you have been to recommend this? why do you keep changing your dentist?I have had the same dentist for 25 years, should I change him?
Thanks, this was really helpful. Just one question though, you said the handle gets a bit grimy over time, would it damage the toothbrush to wash the handle after use or is it waterproof?
You are correct. The main thing is getting the handle dry. Having purchased this unit a while back I have washed it under running water and then dried it immediately. It still looks new as a result :)
I got one like that, electric with a round head that's rechargeable. Doesn't have that fancy red light though. But who's dumb enough to press too hard lol? I put sensodyne gentle whitening on it, but one thing I noticed with mine is that the charge only lasts like a week, its so flippin annoying. Considering you only brush twice a day for a couple minutes that's pretty shit.
the batteries have really been skimped on. Luckily we got the charger in the wall in the bathroom. Most places I've lived I had to keep charging up from another room with a shaver adapter.
@Bakahashiyo there are tons of electric toothbrushes with round heads, but u should get a Braun or Philips or Waterpik, not a no name garbage where you shredder your theeth
got an old model which vibrates after 2minutes.
isnt it disturbing after every 30secs??

There should be a warranty card in your box with a serial code. Go tot eh oral b website and input the code. I hope that helps :)
