I think the ring he is wearing on his right hand is the one that Dean wears on Supernatural all the time. It's always on the right hand, ring finger. if you notice he is also wearing the necklace Sam gave him too.

Now, I heard that he does wear a ring or something similiar in tribute for a friend but I don't know for sure if that ring in particular has to do with it. I'm not a know-all about Jensen so I really would not know for sure.
