Kicker spec is (depending on the box volume) is 2.5x16.5 vent area, and 22.5 long to 3.5x16.25 and 13.75 long. So it may not be that far off if it is off at all, prolly tuned at 35 htz or so. The ports should not be that close to the hatch though. Pointing the vents and drivers up would be louder, he is at a premium for space.

Nice system, just put 2 L7 15's in the bed of my Silverado reg. cab, cut the bed and booted it up for a blow through, cept my box is like 4 cubes per sub, and bein pushed by a Memphis Mojo 4000, 14.4V all day long, shit is slammin and amp is at half gain till the subs get broke in...was really impressed with the subs, they hit all ranges, highs and lows, despite what people told me they'd sound like.

When i had these L7's they did pound, loud. i ran the amps at 2 ohms so they were getting 1100 watts each. With the SX's im running now off a 2010Bxi, they do pound, loud, but they sound better. The only thing my L7's had on the SX's was 1) i was able to hit lower notes, a lot lower and feel it. 2) They did score 3-4 db louder than my SX's. But consider the factors, the L7's were in a bigger box and a different car. They were also 15's. But if i were to choose, i would stick with the RE's BABY!!

they tend to empty yur pockets too! 1606 - $220(ebay) slash v2's - JL Dealer price $1,099.00 ebay somewhere around $600 i think, so in the end i think 1606's are fine for these and i believe they push them hard. 1,100 watts RMS at 14.4 volts...well minus 100 watts cause cars never stay at 14.4 unsless you have hella batteries....soooooooo around 1000watts rms to each sub WHEN they are recommended at 1000rms seems like it checks out to me...

I'm not trying to hate yon you at all, but your subs need more power. You can look at the way their are flexing and see it. All the people with the super systems have upgraded alternators for a reason. These subs require it. Your system hits, but it has the potential to hit much more. With an upgraded alt, and a better battery, you will be quaking much more than now. If you don't believe me just watch some vids of these same subs on youtube, you will see the difference.

you could use a little more port area bro..your chokin the subs a bit. try no center devider . 5 inch slot port around 5 to 7 cubes tuned to 32 hrts. that would make the port around 30 inches long by 5 inches wide. it would fuckin kick real hard. and if you got them powered right you should be closer to 150 dbs with that box.

I eventually made the box bigger around 6 cuft' but i still didnt make the port bigger. I did hit 142 db but if i had that bigger port im sure id get to the 150 mark
