  • Grrrr. You cut the part where he gives the books list >.<. Please if anyone know the list he gave share please.

  • @XZerolimitz ldsfreedomportal

  • @motoroladave Is this related to ldsfreedomforum? They discuss these issues a lot.

  • . net

  • What a nut.

  • @CharlieChan007 Commie

  • lol, conservatism is flawed, lol. don't kill babies. freedom of religion, low taxes, morals and liberalism, so called is what? just what has brought us to gods judgemernt. anything goes but morals ,the bible and god.

  • Please consider looking at Ron Paul and learning more about him and how he has given everything to defend the Constitution in his 20 years of service, regardless of how it has made him look.. We need to stand up for freedom and personal liberties that have allowed our country to be what it is today. We need to shun secret organizations that seek wealth and power and defend religion, personal choices and state rights. Please YouTube Ron Paul and check him out, see how we can relate to his message

  • what the fuck

    the church teaches towards conservatism

yet the bible teaches to help the poor

    what the hell is this

how the fuck are these prophets supposed to speak for a 'perfect' god who contradicts himself

  • @bobmuffins Excuse me? Conservatism is helping the poor. Christ taught to teach men how to fish. Not just feed them. That is conservatism. That is helping the poor. That is how it works...

  • @rockmanlinux Conservatism says to give massive businesses and the rich tax cuts while reducing spending on social care programs.

If that sounds like helping the poor, I don't know what kind of drugs you're on.

  • @bobmuffins Actually that is not what conservatism is if you look it up via definition. While there are several republicans that do believe that which is where I believe the country is unbalanced. I don't think giving rich tax breaks, and not helping those in need of is appropriate either.

From listening to this talk though doesn't imply anything that we believe in giving rich tax breaks and forget the poor.

  • @rockmanlinux I mean isn't appropriate.

  • @rockmanlinux While conservatism, in it's roots, are about preserving "traditions" and other such things that should be done away with, the conservative party in America, which is what I'm understanding this speech to be the country it's focused on, is the Republicans. Guess what they believe in?

Conservatism, in it's very essence, is flawed. Going with the conservative party in America is even more flawed.

  • Benson was supporter of the, ultra right wing, John Birch Society and a Mormon Apostle.

  • I like the part about 'buying some books...and doing some independent thinking'. Who can argue with that?

  • Geez this all sounds all so familiar...where have I heard this recently...hmm.

  • It becomes more and more obvious every day. Thanks for posting this powerful wake-up call.

  • It greatly saddens me because I really like Glenn Beck, a lot. Followed his career since the early days at Headline News. Even bought his first book. I'm sure there are many other Mormons that I would like as well and find the same admirable qualities in them. My aim when speaking about socialism is the same too, not to deplore socialists but convince them otherwise and deplore socialism.

  • So much of what he says here is true, and very admirable. Socialism is a great evil that should be fought. However, just like Glenn Beck today, (who also is very intelligent) it is a shame that he could not look deeper into the secret society of a religion he practiced that is called Mormonism. How can two evidently very intelligent people with incredible speaking ability in two different time periods have the ability to deconstruct Socialism and it's evils but not Mormonism.

  • BY:

"I do not wonder at this people having trouble; I do not wonder at some of our sisters having sorrow in what is termed plural marriage; for they do not live so as to have the Spirit and power of God upon them; if they did, they would see its beauty and excellence, and not a word would be said against it from this time henceforth and forever... their eye is not on the resurrection and on the kingdom we are looking for when Jesus will come and reign King of nations as he does King of Saints."

  • Where can I see the entire speech?

  • Im working on it. Also translating to spanish. ;)

  • Too bad Bush and Obama didn't listen to this guy.

  • Amen! Preach on!

  • he saw it back then, everyone else too blind and stupid to give it all away.

he could not mention the word zionist of europe he said socialist instead but i am sure he knew what the rockefellers and their boss rothschild had done to america over the years/decades.

and since 1913. the warbergs and rest of those no good zionist bastards

  • Can you say prophetic? Hats off to Mr. Benson.

  • I wouldn't even say patriotic. He just had cognitive skills. It speaks volumes about the cognitive deficiency of most Americans when common sense is so scarce and rare, that is considered to be so excellent.

  • what a great video

  • Prop 8 was a ballot initiative passed by the people. The government of California would NEVER have passed such an initiative into law - NEVER.

  • The government is supposed to answer the PEOPLE. That is what our government was founded on. That is what the constitution is about. Every state's constitution must comply with the Nation's constitutions, including California. The fact that the initiative was passed by the people means that it is now part of the constitution. It is an amendment that was passed, whether you agree with it or not.

  • Somehow, I had never heard of this man, until today. Thank you. What a moving speech! I'm assuming from what you said about Romney, that you are a member of the LDS (please correct me if I'm wrong). If so, you are a great example of how we all have to put aside our differences in the fight against the cancer of socialism. May I ask, did Benson lead you to Bastiat, or Bastiat to Benson? (obviously, Romney is ignorant of one & ignores the other) I started researching a bit & found the following...

  • ...quote. He must have been a student, or perhaps truly great minds just seem to arrive at the same place independently: "There is one simple test. Do I as an individual have a right to use force upon my neighbor to accomplish (a particular) goal? If I do have such a right, then I may delegate that power to my government to exercise on my behalf. If I do not have that right as an individual, then I cannot delegate it to government, & I cannot ask my government to perform the act for me."

  • Benson's political philosophy was very much inspired by Bastiat. Many of his lectures and writings were basically excepts from "The Law". The other video that I've posted "Man Freedom and Government" is a clear examples of this.

Other major influences included the early LDS leaders, contemporaries of Bastiat, who went as far as to canonize the constitution of the United States, stating "anything greater of less than this (the constitution), cometh of evil"

  • The Book of Mormon gives an account of at least two ancient civilizations that lived on the American continents. These civilizations were destroyed because of "secret combinations" that saught to overthrow the free government that set up by the people.

These records prophesy that that future inhabitants of this land would face similar fates if they would allow these combinations to get above them and to "awaken to our awful situation".

  • Amen

  • I think if a politician will stand up and declare against socialism, being loud and clear. They will garner the support of many.

  • There are a few out there, but they are mocked for their "extreme" views. As Benson stated, this is a consperecy that spans both parties. Notice how nicley Bush set up Obama will complete power and the perfect oportunity to "save us"? The consperecy controls much of the media and has much influence on our public schools, molding public thought.

  • I was given a choice of Obama or McCain. I will NEVER vote for an adulterer. The family is too precious to me.

I think it might be too late.

I honestly think the auto industry delivered Ohio and Michigan.

    The corruption must stop.

  • Republicans and Democrats are socialists. Can you think of anything about our government that isn't socialistic? There is not much left. The most sickening thing in the last few years is how weak Mitt Romney, Orin Hatch, Sam Reed and other members of the LDS church stood against the tide.

  • "Can you think of anything about our government that isn't socialistic?"

    Yes on Proposition 8!!!

  • You hit it right on the head!! You give me hope knowing that there is one more person out there who see's what is really going on! This has been a perfect set up and a very visable one, going back a number of Presidents...but Clinton really made it clear,re: trying to sell the Port of Long Beach to the Chinese.. Thank God CA caught on to it and stopped it.. These are very scary and sad times we live in..

  • Yes it is sad, but I am excited at the same time. We will win in the end. Prepare and teach others how to be free and moral.

  • sounds fermiliar.
