Maximillian may have been scum he didn't care about Selvaria, but he DID give her a purpose, and a life a hell of a lot better then she had. But...it did suck that she followed him to the very end, and gave her life for him.

But still, if you gotta die...that's the way to do it. Definitely my absolute favorite scene. Watching that smug bastard melt was too epic.

Seriously, even the way they plotted the story is all screwed up. If the Empire had the power to make a gigantic tank like that, couldn't they make something like an atomic bomb? I mean it's 1935! They must've heard about Albert Einstein about now! XD

@Operative13 damon deserved to die. that asshole was responsible for alot of loses in the war and it was only team 7 that made up for it. then he takes all the credit. honestly, the entire ranking system in galila was messed up as shown in the anime where other ranking officers were arrogant (commenting on how THEY wil get the credit since alica was on their command) and too stupid to even have a basic grasp of warfare. when damon got blown up a cheered in glee

@Operative13 other than damon tho. i agree with you. the characters dying sucked. especially isara and salvaria. but i think their deaths gave the story more depth and it's something that's not seen too much in games.

oh i forgot maxie deserved to die to. anyone who can take a chick to go blow herself up after she basically says "i love you" deserves to die

Supremekuja I can't agree on the fact that Valkyria Chronicles story is bad. I think it's quite good actually. The thing is, if you compare it to jrpgs in general it can be regarded as one of the best. It's no Mass Effect 2, but surely very entertaining and at times deep.
