use any standard headset with a mic port on it and thats works fine i use i sidekick 09 headset with the mic on it..so you can hear everything through the headset and talk with out hands.

The mic doesnt work on 2.x, only 1.1.x but I hope to get a mic to work on 2.x soon.

Get the macally iVoice III if you want a mic. Search it on Google.

WIth the mega pack you can control the call volume which is nice but I usually just use the headphones.

I used this a lot when I was in school because I had WiFi at school.

yeah, its very interesting to talk to people on this thing. YOu almost have to time yourself and get used to the delay or else you and the other person will be talking over each other.

Damn, that sucks. Are you on 2.0 because the microphone (Touchmods or Macally) isnt yet supported on 2.0. We have to wait. If you want I think you can downgrade to 1.x.x and then run VoIP and use the Mic, but only if you "MODDED" it correctly. Ive never messed with it so I cant help you out. Sorry.

the ringtone is called "Alert.mp3" and is located under your applications folder, under "Sip VoIP.app."

Find this folder and then just add your own mp3 ringtone BUT DONT FORGET TO RENAME IT TO "Alert.mp3" or it will not work. Hope this helps.

Siphon sounds better because they incorporated certain ports that Sip VoIP didnt have. These ports are already specified in your advanced settings for Siphon which are located in your General settings. The ports make the sound A LOT better than Sip VoIP. However, Sip VoIP is pretty solid too and has the MP3 ringtone option that Siphon doesnt have. .

It sounds like that because it is VoIP. If you have a weak internet connection it will be choppy.

Also, it sounds very good for voice over internet. Just remember your using an internet connection, not cell phone towers, so it isnt going to sound as good as a cell phone.

The app is free. You need a SiP account though to use it. This is very cheap. Its not a monthly bill, its pay as you go.

I got it from touchmods. They arent selling them anymore. However, send them an email and they should hook you up.

ShineyMushroom. Awesome name. Yes it works FANTASTIC with Siphon. Im not sure about the iPhone though, I can def. confirm that it works on the ipod touch. THe iphone is still being worked on as far as Siphon goes. A lot of people have trouble hearing or being heard on the iphones.

It depends. You buy credit from whichever VoIP provider you have an account with. I dont know this information, only you do.

Then you go to their website, login, and you just click "BUY CREDIT"

Then you can use a Credit Card, or money order (sometimes INTL money orders only)

sure, im here to help. You can get the speaker at most music stores, like in the mall. Im sure they are on the web. The first one i bought was a coby and about the same size. The trick is taking it apart and removing the batter portion. You need a tiny screwdriver for that. Be careful with the wiring Dont worry abou the wire attached to the battery part. Just make sure to keep the other wires in tact. Use only one speaker head, there are two, take the wires and sauder to back of it. Ill msg you

Ha ha I would but unfortunately that would be illegal (not like I care, or follow the rules most of the time or anything lol). Cause I modified an iLogic speaker. Its not hard to do, I can walk you through it if you get the little iLogic speaker, you need a sauder gun and wire cutters, thats it. And, Thank you. I went through a couple different ones until this one worked out for me (wiring, size etc.)

a headphone splitter, and a mini speaker that i put together. It enables me to use it as a phone, with volume control for the ringtone and the conversation. I did the volume hack (iClarified) to increase the overall volume of my device.
