This great GM commercial is from the mid 1980's- before Saturn and Onstar were a part of our life. Notice the planet Saturn as the commercial fades- that why it would be that time frame.
...and if only GM could have used better quality and hardened steel parts in their automatic transmissions during the 80s(just to name one example of "cutting corners"), then there would be a future for this once great company (instead of a company begging for a bailout).
Optimum fuel efficiency? Lol because 21mpg is progress!
