I would recommend trying to find Sonic Rush as it is a great game, and should be found for a very reasonable price. However, I feel that Sonic Chronicles would only be interesting to you if you are a fan of either RPG's, or a HUGE Sonic fan.

If you like RPGs then Chrono Trigger is a must have. The music is amazing, the story is compelling, and the game play is just plain awesome.
