  • Did you tail-strike on takeoff?

  • @epopchock No.. the aircraft lifted off at about 8.5 degrees nose up.... and at about 5 degrees you notice I let off on the back pressure to prevent a tail strike...

  • what airports are they

  • this is Paro airport,Bhutan!maybe you should take a look at video titled "landing at paro". only 8 pilots in the world are certified to land here!

  • >:")

    u rock i suck :(

  • I enjoyed that. Creative, consise, accurate flying and instructive. Well done.

  • awesome work!

  • that is so pro..

  • sorry I meant rwy 33 not 15

  • because such S turn requires a great skill and attention as you get only few seconds to turn and almost simultaneously flare somehow then... and I don't think that big planes have such maneuvrability for that sort of approach, so I use A319-320 or Embraer 170/190 instead - anyway, thanks for your approach chart, will use it!

  • except that where you marked "8500" I already descended to around 7800 feet, so it required to do an S turn just before the runway, but in this case (which I consider more real) you have no excessive altitude and you don't have to descend very-very steeply with flare problems but instead you have to perform a very precise S turn to go to runway heading JUST before the threshold - so I did such approach some 5 times and I managed to do more or less precise S turn but touchdowns are not so smooth

  • love mountain approaches! Himalayas is my virtual home, and Paro is one of my recent headaches :) Jepp approach scheme seems somehow wrong for me because it says that you must descend from 13500 feet at VOR PRO to 7333 runway STRAIGHT IN and in just 6 miles, and i didn't find any real approach video to runway 15 with all the real turns... your approach scheme is more real but it still requires to make a very steep descent right before thre runway, and i did it similarly to your chart except that

  • That looked fun :-)

  • me i dont take my time i go full power and just make it with about 100 to 59 pounds of fuel

  • muy bueno un 10

  • nice video. I like how you explained all the time, what you are doing. The landing was also good, not that bad.

  • Very nice flying

  • @cristeldylan the landing could have been better.. it was rough.

  • is this gilgit pakistan?

  • This guy is skilled :) Nice way to control a bad landing :)

  • can i play fs9 on windows 7 with all addons? :)

  • that was basicly a tackticle approach. Very nice landing

  • Wow that's a scary approach O_o

  • very good landing

  • Curious as to what your V/S was on landing...

  • I flared at the last moment, but not really enough, but I believe ground effect helped enough to avoid gear damage.. but it was a rough landing.. should have pulled back a bit more.. at the moment of touchdown I knew I could have did better... there is a simular video to this (video response) you can see a softer landing.

  • last 20 seconds of flying were a little wack, and you landed on the displaced threshold, but otherwise, very good flying.

  • Check out my learjet video.. landing on a small runway in the mountians.

  • Hi, great flying, what sort of computer do i need, ive only alaptop at pres? thanks

  • what do you prefer, msfs2004, or msfsX?

  • FSX.. VC's are getting much better... aircraft quality (downloaded) are much better.... ATC still sucks.

  • AI traffic is still stupid.

  • not bad thumps up :P

  • wow

    Cool

  • great video great flying great plane! 5/5!

  • absolutelly crashed!! your final aproach is nervous and you totally out of control last seconds befire you toch down, sorry dude, but work on it ,you will get it.

  • I was in control every second... why don't you check out all my flying videos (real and flight sim) and maybe you'll see I know how to handle an airplane.

  • absolutelly FUNtastic! And please! How did you get this fog layer? Normally when you cross the payer it just desapear and yours still there. Any tip?

  • I used a thin status layer and placed fog below.. that's all.

  • Oh ok, so you wasn't using any program to simulate real weather like AS6? You set it manually?

  • No special programs, it was all default weather, just set manually.

  • If I was out of control, then how did I touch down on the runway? I think that's called control.... but, I do admit... I touched down too hard.

  • how do you insert a procedure turn in your approach?? or do you turn lnav off and use heading bug for the procedure turn, wen i insert an approach on the 767 it gives me a straight in everytime, sometimes it wants to go outbound and make a 180 turn and come back on the final app course,

  • I just used the heading select for the PT's. The FMC only does holds I think, but I'm not 100% sure.

  • Hi could you tell me what software did you use to make this or tell me how did you change fps in video please

  • Hi realy cool video after see this video I am goanna try this airport with B737-800 again good job

  • Could you please post Flightplan for this mission.

  • There was no flight plan... the info you need is at the beginning or you can use real charts.

  • i can see LNAV and VNAV active on this plane so there should be some flight plan you must be using.

  • I can't remember what I punched into the FMS.. the altitude and tracks are at the beginning of the video.. that's all you need, you punch in whatever you want into the FMS.. all I used to Navigate was the one VOR.

  • well done, I was generally scared coming into land lol

  • Exelente!!! todo un desafío! y muy buen aterrizaje siendo la aproximacion tan dura!...

Exelent!! very good landing! and very hard approach!

I am gonna try it now!!!

dejo otro pequeño desafio el aeropuerto de sucre en bolivia.

no recuerdo exactamente si era en Sucre pero si era otro aeropuerto lo corrijo luego

An other dangerous approach is in Sucre Bolivia in the custom map, try it! and then tell me!

mmm i not remember exactly, if is not sucre`s airport i corrct it then

    5 STAR

  • oh wow must be every pilots nightmare to fly that route

  • So what's Air Canada doing in the Himalayas anyway?

  • wow dude.... u`re really good :O

  • absolutely beautiful! I'm gonna try it too!

  • best video man loved it the approach was the best part

  • What airport/code is this? looks hard but fun if you put the effort in.

  • VQPR

  • i think u made it coz wonds are pretty calm.. if you got crosswind in that app. i'll be amzd.. anyways.. nice landing!

  • wow amazing video

but how did you record it, and how do you speed up the movie

  • google "Level-D"

  • you got crosswinf right amazing video see ya

  • very rough approach lol but the landing was pretty smooth :-).

  • wow! amazing job! :D

  • nice approach but hard landing

  • Yeah, it was a very hard landing.. if you see the other video of my landing there.. its very smooth.

  • sink rate woop woop pull up!

  • very nice!

  • Awesome meen! jaja! excellent approach.. Air Canada, mmm .. i dont think that this airline wants to approach a 767 like you did it. jaja! congrats.

  • Fantastic ride their.

You must of done that alot of times because you look like an expert.

  • That was some great flying. I think the approach was crazy but it was Paro what can you expect

  • The real approach actually is straight in.. but I didn't know that at the time.. but now I have the real approach plates.

  • Please Please can someone tell me if I could run FSX on this spec. Also would FS2004 work well?

    Core 2 Duo processor E4500

    2.20GHz 2MB L2 Cache 800Mhz FSB

    1024MB & 500GB Hard drive

    Thanks

  • It should run FS2004 great.. FSX will be slower, but it will run.. you'll have to turn autogen scenery and other scenery to lower settings.. play with the settings and screen resolution and you should be able to get both of them running ok.

  • amazing , fantastic aproach , but at final aproach but i think so high to land

  • Wow... That was pretty damn amazing. Air Canada would be good to have someone like you flying, they landed harder than that in Calgary on my last flight!!!!

  • They might someday. =)

  • somebody got some skillz

  • hey jmr604. can you please tell me which songs u used in this video? i would really appreciate it.

  • Nelly - Hot in Here.

    Guns'n'Roses - Paradise City.

  • Jeez, I can't believe someone doesn't know GNR, well I guess everyone didn't grow up with them and they don't get as much airtime anymore, weird though nevertheless.

  • To make the approach safe you'd have to have a safe MAP procedure at every corner incase you got ran out of clear sky.

  • Oh yeah.. to the guy who wanted the approach published.. Jeppesen has it published already. lol... or you can make your own... the approach I made wouldn't be safe unless it was really good VMC below.. otherwise you'd have to go straight in.

  • I'll make another video with the proper published approach.

  • Yeah, I deleted someones comment while I was trying to reply to it... anyways, Master pilot, I know 767's don't go there for real, but they could... just wouldn't be able to taxi on to the ramp. To me its not that bad off an approach as long as the weather is good and the actual approach isn't flown like the way I did.

  • hee man nice video but where did you get the 767?

  • Flight1/Level-D (payware)

  • Nice video. Fortunately they dont take 767s here in real life.I know someone who wrote their will on this approach fearing they would die.If

  • A little rough, but better than most who sim. Btw, did you change your sounds? I don't recall my Level-D sounding like that in the external view. Although I've had it since it was the 767PIC, so I don't fly it much. :)

  • Yeah the landing was hard.. I've landed must smoother there in another video.. My level-D sounds are default. I didn't change it.

  • Spot on landing. Loved it.

Try this one with a prop, say Beech King 350:

Take off EGPH (Edingburg) and land BIIS Iceland, visibility 10 miles on arrival. Time of the year, winter.

  • Why the King Air? Is it near its range limit? The King 350 on the sim sucks.

  • What do you think of the FSX simulator ?

I find too much energy was put on gimmicks in FSX

  • Yeah, they were a bit excessive in that department, but only with respect to computer performance.. I have to turn most of them off to run FSX.. but, I would never go back to FS2004.. FSX is much better in many aspects.. even with the bugs it has.

  • my favorite airport, i have a couple videos of this airport, not as good as this though

  • Wow... remember the days I used to challenge myself at This airport in FS. Paro intl Airport. Bhutan VQPR. I first knew this airport when Boeing anounces in their magazine that they made flight test with their BBJ B-734 to prove the local airline that the aircraft can handle that situation. I tried T/O & Landing on RWY 15-33 many times. & I'm gonna try it again. What a Rush! I love it! great video.

  • If you like this one.. watch the video response.. its another approach I made but greased the landing right at the end and landed nice and short.

  • Nailed it. Heh. Sink Rate! Sink Rate!

  • The Approach was not the greatest. But you nailed the landing! Great Work!

  • The approach was wonderful. ;)

  • agreed, not many simmers who can do this;) 5 stars!!

  • lol that is the most insane approach I've ever seen! Have you actually seen the real approach chart to this airfield? Mint video, I might try it in FSX.

  • No I haven't seen them... but I have Charts for it now so whenever I get a chance I'll take a look at the real published approach plate.

  • can you tell me where u got that 767 please

  • Level-D Simulations.

  • 10 times more difficult than tha hong kong approach

  • 10 times more fun too.. I find this more fun than Kia Tak. lol

  • you landed too early on the runway and descended too steeply

  • Uh huh.. I did so ON PURPOSE. You can't land normally on that runway. Not with a 767 anyway.

  • nice vid. i am guessing this is fsx and if it is then please can u tell me where to get that plane

  • lol proaviation look at the title, it says fs2004

  • Hey jmr604

    Is this game worth getting?

And are the flights real-time?, meaning if the flight is 5 hours long in real-life, i would be sitting in front of my comp. for 5 hours too?

I've never played be4.... when i get it, i hope ill learn fast and i hope it isnt that difficult.

    nice vid btw.

  • Do you think you can put this video in Spot Plane view?

  • oh ok then.

  • hey, when you had the camera in the cockpit at takeoff, was that 2d cockpit or 3d virtual?

  • 3d.. VC view

  • i think im the only one who saw you arm the speedbrakes too late.its ok though.

  • Well, actually I was using the speed brakes on short final while I was slipping into the runway.. but while lining up with the runway I put the speed brakes down and armed them again on very short final.

  • is this the 767 level d?

  • Yep.

  • hey, when you had the camera in the cockpit at takeoff, was that 2d cockpit or 3d virtual?

  • N1 so good!

  • N1?

  • awesome video! Love the scenery! 5 stars!

  • which Airport?

  • Paro/VQPR

  • aha thx

  • Brill job!
