  • Hanna Barbera had some rockin' horn section play their themes (Johny Quest also comes to mind)

  • why didnt he just crawl inside the window?

  • @ermaslv44 Maybe 'cause Fred can't fit through the window.

  • @SaintHangman cats fatter

  • @ermaslv44 Maybe. But Fred's no skinny-mini either.

  • Ok I see show the jetsons 1

  • (Sabercat puts Fred out the door and closes the door.)

    Fred: "WILMA!!!!"

    (He bangs on the door.)

  • @CodeOfHonor2009 ROTFLMAO! Fred got pwned by a saber-toothed tiger!

  • "wilma, open this door! *pounding door* wiiiiiiiiiiilmaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! *pounding door*" the best part!!! lol

  • If he were smart, he would go threw the window :)

  • @2111jade yep. I've been saying that for over 30 years. The window is at waist level for goodness sakes!

  • That passive aggressive bitch didn't let him in.

  • The Flintstones is a Production of Hanna-Barbera Productions,Anhedonia Productions and Sony Pictures Television

  • These guys ripped off The Simpsons.

  • @antdigger yeah.. 1960s simpsons was way better

  • @antdigger The Flintstones came out almost 30 years before the Simpsons

  • @antdigger

If you don't know what you're talking about, please shut up !! The Simpsons ripped off this classic cartoon.

  • Poor Fred needed a RocLok~

  • Will-I-Am Hanna & Joseph King of Dreams Barbera

  • so the saber tooth tiger (cat) is suposed to stay outside, but the dinosaur (dog) sleeps inside?

no wonder the cat locked him out...

  • @kittycatcat2006 Yeah, looking back at this ending now, I kinda feel sorry for that saber tooth tiger.

  • Anyone else notice that Wilma doesn't go by the window at the end? Neither does the cat when it leaves Fred outside.

  • didnt they arrive with barney and betty and bam bam?

and then they leave without them?

  • for years i thought fred put a pram on the car not ribs! lol!

  • wilmaaaaa it was nice sequence to show how stupid fred was for not using the window

  • Flintstones, meet the Flintstones They're the modern stone-age family From the town of Bedrock They're a page right out of history Let's ride with the family down the street Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet When you're with the Flintstones Have a yabba-dabba-doo time A dabba-doo time You'll have a gay old time

  • WILMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

  • WILMA!!!!!!!

  • @ 0:31, the cat was like "WTF"?

  • I think that 20th Century Fox is going to bring them (The Flintstones) back someday under the watchful eyes of Family Guy creator Seth Green.

  • it took me years to realize that that was meat.......i thought it was a chair...

  • man i miss this show!

  • For years I wondered what was the thing the waitress gave Fred.

  • Good old times.

I used to get really sad on that part because the cartoon was over.

    Really liked it.

  • WILMA

  • I never saw the cat, other than in the end theme.

  • From when times were so fun and simple. This was my favorite cartoon. Brings back memories of Mom dropping me off at Grandma's, then Grandma would turn flinstones on and make me breakfast. Miss you Mom & Mama....xoxoxoxo

  • I might sound silly, but I could never guess that this was from the 60s

  • Wow, the waiter bought Fred a MASSIVE chair.

  • @Larakinerd it isn't a chair it's a dinosaur rack of ribs ;)

  • On the 4th season of Flintstones, they introduced a black character, Tyrone Crackrock, but he wasn't popular, so they axed him.

  • "we'll have a gay old time!"

  • FRED FRED FRED.....Stop....think....There is a window right there. Just climb on that plant and crawl back in....How do you think the Cat got in Fred? lol

  • I just remembered how this nigga used to bang on the doors and scream "Velmaaaaaaaa". So I youtubed the flinstones theme to reminisce.

  • @thegiftedmedia its Wilma.

  • @2010Barbon I knew something was wrong.

  • vilmaaaaaaaaaaaa :D

  • Someone pls answer me this....what the hell is that thing the waitress brings Fred at 0:13??? ever since I was wee small I never figured out what the hell it was. Looks like one of those musical horns you blow.

  • @2010Barbon I assume it is ribs since there was a sign that said "Burgers and Ribs" XD

  • @Blackcatcross don't look like ribs at all.

  • @2010Barbon Their DINOSAUR Ribs.

  • @CassDaMan1138 looks more like a giant boot.

  • @2010Barbon Ribs.

  • @thegiftedmedia looks more like a horn of some sort.

  • @2010Barbon Ribs

  • @mkbailey72 looks like a giant boot or something.

  • The funny thing about fred not using the window is that he would have gotten stuck in it.I think that happened in 1 episode... :D

  • lol, it's funny how that I wasn't the only one wondering why Fred doesn't use the window like the cat did.

  • @Scott89878 No, it's not just you. It drove everybody mad wondering why.

  • this show was the bomb!

  • Unforgettable closing credits. It was the same silly routine after every show, but you just had to linger for that priceless scream: WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLMAAAAAAAAAAAA! :^D

  • Yes...the older I got I was like "Fred, the cat used the window...why don't you follow suit????" Instead of banging on the door...Stupid, lol.

  • completely random thought i have always had with this.

The image when the cat looks straight at the camera just after he has been thrown out aways stuck in my mind more prominently than anything else and (subconsciously, i think) it always attached itself with the high notes that come in at 0.34 even though they are 3 or 4 seconds apart. i don't understand it myself.

  • What's really amazing about the Flintstone's is that they're human. Most famous cartoon characters up to that time were animals. Even now, it's Hanna Barbara's famous characters....

  • Flintstones. Meet the Flintstones. They're the modern stone age family. From the town of Bedrock, They're a page right out of history. Someday Maybe Fred Will Win The Fight And That Cat Will Stay Out For The Night When you're with the Flintstones you'll have a yabba dabba doo time. A dabba doo time. You'll have a gay old time. We'll Have A Gay Old Time Fred:WILMA!!!! *bangs on Door*
  • @veemon129 thanx for the lyrics, i could never understand them all

  • when I was a little kid and I saw this, I was always worried about Fred. I worried that Wilma wouldnt hear him and he would be out in the cold all night. I always wondered why he didnt just go through the window but my brother told me he was too fat.

  • WWWWWWWWWWWWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • man i miss these shows, now all we get is bullshit on CN

  • where did Pebbles go? their daughter.....she was in the intro but not the closing song?

  • I dont remember the Flintstones owning a cat.

    Only Dino.

  • who do u like better ppl, the Flintstones or the Jetsons ? , i dont remember watching the jetsons a lot : /

  • Flintstones... Meet the Flintstones,

    They're a modern stoneage family.

    From the town of Bedrock,

They're a page right out of history.

Someday, maybe Fred will win the fight,

And that cat will stay out for the night.

  • When you're with the Flintstones,

have a yabba dabba doo time,

    a dabba doo time,

we'll have a gay old time

    "Wiiilllllmmmmmmaaaaaa!!!" bang bang bang

  • WILMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

  • @Fullmetalminos yep, thats the best part!! lol

  • Oh snap, I just noticed that when Fred gets the cat, he doesn't show going through the window.

  • Ahhhhh...the childhood memories of simpler times.

  • How does Fred eat those ribs? Are they for the whole family and the rest of the gang? I hope so lol everyone just gathers around and gnaws off a peice...Dino gets the bones..

  • I always wondered why he didn't just climb back in through the window like the cat did

  • To anyone who gets any strange thoughts on the concept of "a gay old" time.

The original definition of "gay" is very happy and giddy.

  • there was also one another ending, in which all lights of nearby house close, then when fred screams, all houses agn on thr light, something like tht....

  • I'll take a Modern Stone Age Family over a Modern Family, anytime.

  • damn i still miss this these are the classics , i feel sorry for the kids of this generation they missed out on the best cartoon and fell in animes

  • happy 50th! used to love the show... STILL DO!!!!

  • If only the creators were alive today for their show's 50h birthday...

  • I used to love watching this on Boomerang :)

  • When I was very young this closing scene with Fred being locked out used to really upset me.

  • happy 50th anniversary Flinstones

  • Happy Aniversary! Happy Aniversary !!!Happy Aniversary !!! I want The Flinstones BACK!! :((

  • Happy anniversary to the Flintstones

  • I think we can agree: When it comes to the Flintstones, we're ALL gay :)

  • @SandmanZimm LOL I AM GAY FOR FLINSTON

  • When I was a little kid, I used to think that the ribs they were ordering at the drive-in was a deckchair.

  • I've just noticed that in the opening, Fred and Wilma go to the drive-in with Barney and Betty, but when they leave during the credits, Barney and Betty aren't with them. :|

  • @ScoCanSteven and the kids! XD geez they must have been pissed walking back home

  • Don't you even know the REAL meaning of the word GAY? It's used everywhere in the literature meaning HAPPY, BLISSFUL, JOYFUL, MERRY. Synonyms darlings....

  • @nishidaijin actually it meant living outlandish lifestyle or even immorality.. which brings annoyance to the "standard, serious" man.. its not until the mid 20th century as more homosexuals came out of their closets n having pride in themselves, does the word 'gay' applied prominently to homosexuals..

of couse if u use it as a adjective, it points to the merriness or showiness.. "am gay/is gay..."

as a noun, it obvioously points to the homosexualness "am a gay / is a gay"

  • when I was a kid, I was always annoyed with that saber-tooth cat and felt stupid for Fred for not using the window. Hahaha. Those good old days. :')

  • @nishidaijin we never saw that saber-tooth cat as a pet in any episode.

  • @nishidaijin I had the same reaction as a kid. LMAO!

  • Why fred lets dino stay in the house and kicks off the cat?

    why fred?

Are dinosaurs more civilized than cats?!

  • Comment removed

  • Once upon a time the word gay was another word for happy. Now we see ppl happy to come out the closet.

  • Apparently, both Fred and George have marriage issues.

When they get locked outside, their wives just refuse to hear them shout their names!

    Red heads man, I swear.

  • One of the best scenes from Spawn

  • Oh she was in the shower?! Lol

  • well have a "gay" old time?

  • "WILMA!"

  • A great documentary for creationists.

  • @kitchenaut It's a cartoon, not a reason to start a flamewar.

  • WIIIIILLLLLLLMMMMMMAAA!!!! Ha ha classic

  • Lol now how come the cat was smart enough to use the window & fred wasnt? xD

  • THIS HAS BEEN A SCREEN GEMS FILM PRODUCTION

  • i always wondered why fred couldn't just go threw the window or if they had a back door he could of just walked in the back and gone threw the back door and be done with that.

  • WILMA!!!!!

  • what do they mean "well have a gay old time"

  • @The2moons15...lolol i was juss thinkjin what the world did that say...if it says gay, then im sure it means happy...we'll have a happy old time.

    gay=happy

  • @The2moons15 It meant happy. At one time "gay" meant happy, until the fags stole the word to describe themselves.

  • @The2moons15 r u stupid or just sarcastic? gay meant happy back in the days,

  • now this is what I call a cartoon ...

u dont see them creativity at all today...Goodness

  • Haha, love the ending with fred and the cat.

  • I always wonder why he didn't just climb in through the window

  • Fred should just jump in the window like the cat does.

  • WILLLLMAAAAAAA! XD

  • lol the tiger kick him out of his own house xD

  • Some day maybe Fred will win the fight, and that cat will stay out for the night......

  • @sdfeinstein

ive never seen him at all

  • @amazing207 Good point. I saw Dino but never the cat......

  • Fred will knock Peter Griffin's ass

  • cant fred just go through the window lol... and is that supposed to be giant ribs? LOL

  • Wilma wasn't carrying Pebbles in the house! Did they just leave her in the car?

  • @marvelmax03191 I do not think Pebbles was in these credits.

  • @marvelmax03191 This version of the credits was made BEFORE Pebbles was born in the show. It was only after her birth that they added her in.

  • VEEELLLLLLLLMAAAAAAAA :)

one of the bst cartoons :D

  • bring in da dog and put out da cat

  • One thing I've never quite been able to figure out is, how some Fred never tries to get back in through the window?

  • The window Fred

  • the 1960 version is 1960 times and 1940 i don't know about that is in the 19 somthing

  • Why won't Fred just climb through the window?

  • Comment removed

  • now it shows at 7:00 am and 7:00 pm in cartoon network too

  • U know that The Flintstones theme song was one of the best songs on TV and the theme of this show is just like the movie theme it's the best show and universal picture

  • Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble are like the cartoon versions of Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton. Wilma Flintstone and Betty Rubble are like the cartoon versions of Alice Kramden and Trixie Norton

  • Cartoons of today now are totally stupid? There are not these classic ones anymore, Hell it was great on Saturday Mornings and after school. Man, I'm glad I was child in the 70's and early 80's they were best times being a kid

  • always wondered why he couldnt just climb through window ?

  • @iloveyouhunny I believe there was a hint of cartoon stupidity in Fred Flinstone! But in a good way!

  • this song would never be complete if Fred didn't do the "Wilma" scream

  • yeah! i was searching the opening sense and started to wonder "where's the scream part", haha it's in the closing part

  • awesome

  • Gay old time, I am shocked to hear that in our days, but then gay was meant happy, colorful.

  • Fred:"WILLLLMAAA!!"

  • no cabe la menor duda los americanos son los N 1

  • Hey I noticed when Wilma walks in the house, she isn't seen in the window

  • @cartoonboy13able1 Maybe she went behind the door :P

  • @cartoonboy13able1

  • @cartoonboy13able1 maybe she's a ghost

  • @cartoonboy13able1 well maybe she went to the other side of the house where she wouldnt have been sceen in the window.. ever think of that?

  • @cartoonboy13able1 thats because she walks to the left LOL..

  • me encanta todo esto de los cartoons antiguos!! y que plato cuando el tigre ese lo termina sacando a pedro!! ¡que vuelva boomerang!

  • When I was shorter than Lisa right after when the cat locks Fred Flintstone out and when Fred Flintstone yells "Wilma!" then the Hanna Barbera Swirling star logo camed after those two thing when I was shorter than Lisa. Lisa is the girl that takes good care of Corduroy.

  • @jprich0595 EH?

  • how they willma not come when fred call for her

  • WILMAAAAA... man thats epic

  • This is the closing credits for PBS Kids Bookworm Bunch's very first show ever The Flintstones but I am sorry the closing song Boom Boom Ain't it great to be crazy By Nancy Cassidy, hanna barbera all star comedy logo, and closing funding for PBS Kids Bookworm Bunch were not used in this video.

  • the Flintstones is still one of the very best cartoons--I used to watch it every day after school---now I feel really old!!

  • The Closing theme song for PBS Kids Bookworm Bunch's very first show ever. The Flintstones is PBS Kids Bookworm Bunch's very first show ever. On PBS Kids Bookworm Bunch Boom Boom Ain't It Great To Be Crazy By Nancy Cassidy comes right before The Flintstones closing credits.
